The link is working fine for me -- it might have just been a temporary hiccup for Mediafire. Can you try it now and just verify it's working on your end?

We spoke a lot about why FFXV has been so delayed in Episode 37 of the podcast, but it's really not the developer's fault -- a lot of the blame can be placed on FFXIII. They yanked the team working on FFXV to help get FFXIII out, which seriously delayed the title. There are other reasons ( like I said, listen to the episode :) ) but that's a major one.

I think people are really misinterpreting what she said. Given what I know about the history of the books, she planned for Ron and Hermione to get together from the very start (she says herself that the two "definitely started something" in GoF, even if they weren't really conscious of it). Along the way, though, she seriously considered killing Ron, which I think would have been an understandable (though heartbreaking) choice, she's so wonderfully ruthless with her characters. Towards the end of the series I think she began to entertain the idea that Harry and Hermione should get together, and you can definitely see this in Deathly Hallows. In the end she decided it was best to stick with what she planned from the beginning and spent so many books establishing.

Really though, having the Harry - Hermione friendship platonic is so so important. There's really something to be said for a male - female friendship that goes along with no expectation or interest in romance, since in nearly everything else the male and female leads end up together. Despite the lack of any romantic or sexual tension between Harry and Hermione, they are still tremendously close and something really special passes between them, particularly in Deathly Hallows. It's such an essential and beautiful friendship.

It's meaningful to their characterization also that Hermione and Ron ended up together. JKR is clearly critical of the girls who fangirl over Harry because he's famous and special (Romilda), and Hermione is, in all respects, the anti-Romilda. Hermione doesn't want fame or splendor or renown. What's most attractive to her? Freshly mown grass, new parchment, and spearmint toothpaste. She doesn't "settle" for Ron, he's not "not good enough" for her. He is what she wants and that's amazing.

We see this turned into Ron's characterization in the Locket scene in Deathly Hallows -- throughout all the books he's been insecure about being "Harry Potter's friend" or overshadowed by his brothers' legacies (Charlie the Quidditch Captain etc.). His deepest fear is that the girl he loves overlooks him because he's ordinary and unimportant. And we see, thankfully, that Hermione doesn't overlook him, nor is he ordinary or unimportant.

Instead of talking about who Hermione should or shouldn't have ended up with, it's way more fun to discuss how absolutely bonkers and brilliant she it.

Hi everyone! It might seem a bit out of the blue to announce something like this, but I'd like to start being more proactive about keeping you guys updated on new features on the site -- the staff is constantly doing little work that may go unnoticed.

What we've got today is the ability to submit videos in bulk to our Video Portal. Until now, you could only submit videos one by one. For lively YouTubers, this can be a nightmare! Now, when you go to submit media, you can choose Submit Bulk Playlist from the dropdown.

A pop-up will appear asking for a URL to your playlist. You can grab this from your YouTube page -- for example, the URL to our playlist for Kingdom Hearts II is https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL39CC1162037CE63F. If your playlist contains more than 25 items, you should increase that value -- if you have less than 25, you can leave it be.

When you hit submit, you'll be brought to a new page listing all your videos. You can add them in bulk to a pre-existing playlist of yours, as well as place them in a certain category. You can also edit their information individually, and uncheck the videos you don't wish to submit. Once you're done, all you have to do is hit Save Media and it will be uploaded to the Portal!

We hope that this will encourage more activity on our Video Portal. Please note that videos must be manually approved, so you'll have to bear with our staff as we sort through. We tend to be pretty prompt.

Right now the Video Portal may seem like nothing more than a nice place to showcase your videos, but we hope you'll all look forward to some updates coming to the Top 5 in the future. ;)

Playing without Cure is definitely a bother for someone who has played the games before, but I think there's something to be said for delaying its availability. Kingdom Hearts games can be pretty easy, so lacking the Cure spell creates some kind of difficulty threshold for the first part of the game. You learn about dodging and blocking attacks early on because a few hits can take you out. You have to manage both your inventory of potions & elixirs. They're skills that are important even after learning Cure, but giving Cure too early wouldn't encourage honing them.

Not only that, but it's important to incrementally unlock abilities. A lot of people wonder at how they'll set Sora back to the beginnings in terms of fighting/abilities in Kingdom Hearts 3, given that he's a pretty seasoned fighter and magician at this point. Even if it's not explained well or at all, letting the player try different play styles and feel they are evolving through the game is really important to the gaming experience.

Hey everyone! We've got another episode of the KH-Vids Podcast for you.

Today @Llave and I were joined by KH-Vids's friendly Australian Roleplayer @Dr_Wigglz for another Chilled Pod. Taking a more relaxed approach than usual podcasts, we speculated on Kingdom Hearts 3's theme song, discussed what books, movies, and television shows we've been into, shared which games we're excited for in 2014, and retained a grounded optimism in the face of awful video game & anime movie adaptations.

Thanks to Glen for joining us and we hope you enjoy this episode!

Your Personality Type is The Mastermind (BIOGD)
Masterminds are emotionally balanced, which means that they are less prone to depression and are able to cope well with feelings of anxiety, anger and vulnerability. Due to their independence and reserve, sometimes the Mastermind can be perceived as arrogant or unfriendly, however this is merely because they don't require the same level of social stimulation or interaction that others may seek. The Mastermind enjoys a good balance between the real world and fantasy, they are mostly aware of and in touch with their emotions. Being open-minded to new and unusual ideas helps them to interact with the world. With a health skepticism of the motives of others, and a belief in justice and being self made, sometimes the Mastermind can come across as guarded or intimidating. However the Mastermind generally has good self discipline and is recognized as being able to plan and think ahead.

    0.88% of people are Masterminds

    5% friendliness im cry

Meyers-Briggs is still my fave tho

It seems like the author of The Game Inquirer article really isn't familiar with the series, so I imagine he isn't totally aware of its development status. Still I agree, 2014 is a laughable number. I agree with Olaf that 2016 is more reasonable.

Recently, an internal Square-Enix Europe document (pictured below) has been circulating on the internet, containing information about their soon-to-be-released titles (like Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII) and titles still in development (notably Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III).

No doubt in impatience for said titles, The Game Inquirer took the change from a TBC release date to 2014 as confirmation that the game may out sooner than anticipated. Square replied to these rumors shortly after:
Suffice to say, Kingdom Hearts 3 won't be hitting the shelves anytime soon. From interviews and appearances, it's safe to say that the final chapter of the Xehanort Saga is still in very early development -- it's far too early to consider a release date, but that won't stop us from speculating! Anyone have predictions for a more realistic time frame?

This is true about... kinda all of John's Green's books. Well, okay, I've only read TFiOS and An Abundance of Katherines, but his writing very much has that feel. I'm not sure pretentious is the exact right word for it if there is one, but it's definitely close. I think they're good books for young adult audiences and they're clearly really popular, but there's something that bothers me that I can't quite place.

The trailer was nice, I believe John Green was involved in the making of the movie so I'm sure it will be very faithful to the book. I doubt I'll see it just because I wasn't crazy about the book but I'm sure it'll get its share of viewers.

AS A MINOR CORRECTION, KotOR (Knights of the Old Republic) is a single-player RPG released in 2003, with a sequel in 2004. A third sequel was planned but scrapped; instead, they created an MMO (The Old Republic) set 300 years after the events of the KotOR games. I have a lot of emotions about this topic so apologies for being a bit of a hardass about it!

But I agree with you (though I don't think I have space in my life for both FFXIV and a KH MMO). It could be really neat! Although I think this is kind of the idea behind KHX.

This also bothered me a lot, I feel like the movie could have greatly benefited from an extra 20 or 30 minutes. Nearly every kids' movie that comes out is 90 minutes, though, so I imagine they've done studies to see how long a kid will sit and watch a movie and that is the answer, but there is a lot that could have had more detail & attention.
