Babysitting for chill kids always seemed so appealing. From what I understand you basically get paid to hang out and watch TV.

The few times I did it I ended up having to physically restrain the children. I've not been keen to try it again.

It's a persistent bug with XenForo, sort of. It's actually not really a bug as much as confusing wording. If you uncheck Display results as threads it will work fine.

A few of our resident night owls may have noticed that the site was just down for a little less than two hours. I apologize for not announcing the downtime in advance, but as it was fairly short and during an off-peak time, I thought I could get away with it. ;)

As many of you are probably aware, our site search has been very picky lately -- when it even works. We've been using a very inefficient method (for large boards, at least) for searching the database up until this point. Tonight I installed XenForo's Enhanced Search add-on, which is made for boards around our size.

I won't get into the technical details here, and instead put it quite simply: the site search is now blazing fast. Not only will it encompass everything posted on the site -- threads, posts, profile posts, and our video portal -- dating back to the beginning of time, but it'll do it in a matter of milliseconds. It's also a lot smarter now, allowing you to search words of two characters or more, but also searching the roots of words (ex. searching "testing" will also return results for "test," "tests," "tested," and so on).

Don't use the search? That's cool. You still get a nice benefit from this. Because we're using a much more efficient method of searching the database, the load on our server will be significantly decreased. Basically, less of the server's resources will be used for searching, and more for loading quickly and without problems!

I'll be watching our load times and server errors closely over the next few days to make sure everything is working properly. Otherwise, thanks for your patience and give the search a try!

There is Wonderland stuff in the works, yes. It won't be centered around Valentine's Day like usual (obviously) but we're putting stuff together. :]

I used to be quite into vloggers but it gets old. Natalie Tran is my favorite and really the only one I keep up with anymore. A lot of the others just don't seem genuine, like they're putting on an act, likely because they are. They're playing a personality. Obviously there are a few exceptions but part of the appeal of vlogs is that they're so real.

    I like Grace Helbig also.

Ah yeah, see, I didn't know DMC4 ended with a cliffhanger. I'd be upset too. tbh I know little to nothing about the series but I always kinda assumed it ended tidily.

But yeah, totally justified in being upset that it was abandoned. I'm still not over KotOR 3 being canned and TOR being released instead (and I probably never will be).

That at least sounds more in line with the other ethical choices of the games.

The point about not being able to argue did bother me but that was really it--I selected the Destroy ending because I felt that there was strong possibility that not all of Star Child's predictions were correct (like the Geth and the Quarians). I maxed my military score so I didn't notice that, but it does make me laugh because yet had the same problem in KotOR... Which came out in 2003.
if you followed the light side path you could redeem Bastila but still kill her (she asks her you to actually). I imagine most people wouldn't do that because light side and Bastila is hot but if you did, she'd still appear in the ending
I agree that it was rushed, though I don't mind not having closure on your romance. Of course, I romanced Liara, which from my understanding has a bit more care given to it than other romances. Even so, the lack of closure would reflect
Shep's death, although my ending had her breathing so w/e
It was definitely rushed and had its problems but I didn't find it offensively bad like some. ME2 was so good that I didn't expect ME3 to supersede it. I also went into ME3 with very low expectations because I knew there was controversy but I was pleasantly surprised.

Also I meant that previous (not the reboot) DMC games didn't end unresolved to my knowledge.

I for one support any chain of events that leads to the Citadel DLC.

Really though it depends on the complaints of fans. ME3's original ending from my understanding really didn't make good on the promises of the narrative in the rest of the series. It wasn't a reaction so much to an ending itself, but rather to the lack of a satisfying conclusion (though for the record I didn't play ME3 pre-DLC). The fans complaining about DMC are reacting to the new direction taken in the reboot. That's natural and understandable for a series with a dedicated, established fan base, but they don't HAVE to play or buy the reboot. They can safely ignore it's existence. I also don't believe that the existing DMC games ended with any kind of cliffhangers or incomplete story (but I also haven't played them so feel free to correct me), so it can't really compared to something like ME3, which is necessary to complete the story.

    classy as ever Krowley

( the worst part is that I offered this 2 my staff bros before y'all, Krowley only decided to snatch it when he could take it away from the largest number of people )

If you guys have been out of touch for a while it's natural for there to be some awkwardness in picking back up; you can't expect your conversations to flow and proceed like they did when they you were talking on a more regular basis (and it's entirely possible that your feelings for her, and strong desire to get the friendship going again, are making you anxious). Right now, also, is a really turbulent time in a person's life: you're at an age/phase where you do a lot of changing as a person in a very short period of time -- it's possible the two of you have changed quite a bit and need some time get to know, and acclimate to, who you are now versus how you remember one another.

It does sound like a fair bit of it is just anxiety, which is natural and okay. I do think honesty is usually the best route, so bringing up how you feel to her (getting nervous when you're talking) could lead to a very freeing conversation. I'm sure she's felt some of the awkwardness and it could be good to bring it into the open. If you do feel it is right you could re-address your past feelings for her, explaining where you're at (that they're still there but you respect what she said/felt, that you're not really sure if you're looking to be in a relationship anyway, and that you just want to grow close as friends again and see what happens).

I feel like my advice for these sorts of threads usually just end up being that if you can come here and talk it out with us, you probably should just do it with her. Hell, you could almost copy and paste what you've posted here. It doesn't have to be a big deal really, and if she's been as close a friend as you make it seem (and has surely noticed/felt some of this herself), being open and honest can only help.

Good to know! I won't be playing it b/c I don't have an XB1 (lol) or a gaming PC, but it sounds like it'll be big so it's good that it's a game that actually deserves it.

Does the six on six wear thin? I think there are also AIs running around but that seems very few people running about, especially if the maps are large.

Does the free running control well? I've seen some streams and it looks quite smooth, but obviously you can't speak for the controls unless you've actually played it.

From what I've seen though that's definitely the most impressive part of the game.

This is the first movie in a while (well, except for Frozen) that I've considered going to the theater to see. It's unlikely I will but that's definitely saying something.

The last time I saw a movie in theaters was a year ago ogod
