We don't want to discourage anyone from applying, even if they're new to this site. We have hired people that were only recently registered because their applications and interviews really impressed us, so there is no real baseline or rule of thumb, I don't think. We will definitely have concerns if you are newly registered, don't have a lot of posts, etc., just because we want to be sure you're committed to the site and won't suddenly disappear one day. Again, you're welcome to reply even if that is your case, but it will of course be a factor that we consider. This is exactly our train of thought. You're welcome to apply for News Reporter and specify these things. The idea of having editorials on the site is relatively new (or, well, not new, but we're finally implementing it, heh), but part of the idea was always to allow regular users (non-staff members) to submit what they've written and have it featured on the site, just as a normal news post would be. So if you've got a cool idea for an editorial but don't want to commit to the staff team, you can still have your writing featured! There will be more details on the editorial thing in the future -- how to participate, that kind of thing. (:
Yeah we realize it's an extremely niche position but that doesn't stop us from asking. That particular application is open at all times to all members so if your time frees up please do apply!
I'm surprised you haven't, nearly every other shirt seems to be Who themed.
YES I DID mako was so hawt man i love scifi and i appreciate the nods to it in here, tbh I was simultaneously disappointed and pleased that there...
Yeah, it can definitely go quickly, I just meant to let you know that you have a chance to preview the game without having to pay monthly subs. (:
Just to add to this, you have to bear in mind that, because you don't know/understand Japanese, you're going to be less attuned to the finer differences in voices. I'm sure if you asked a Japanese person about hearing people speak English, they'd tell you that we all mostly sound the same, despite us recognizing differences in pitch, tone, etc.
I mean yes, Square is still relevant what are we talking about
Only Haya and Plums were kind enough to show. :[ I played from around 12:30 to 3AM and then I went to bed. Maybe I'll stream more tonight. It's a lot of fun! I really enjoy it. I fell in love with it when I tried the beta test the first time around. The PS4 version is a nice update. I totally understand not wanting to get into it because of the monthly fee, but I love the game enough to justify it. When you buy the game (which you can pick up for pretty cheap these days) you get a 30 day free trial. You could always give that a try and see how you like it.
I think FFXV information will begin to ramp up towards the middle or end of 2014. KH3 might have some whispers but I don't expect a lot of news on that front until FFXV is nearing release, sadly.
For those who don't know, every 24 hours TeeFury sells a limited edition tee shirt for $11. Artists submit their designs and users vote for them, leading many to be pop culture oriented. If their design is selected, the artist gets a portion of the sales. I'm a big fan of TeeFury -- some of my favorite shirts are from here! Today's design is the first one I've seen from Kingdom Hearts. You've got another seven hours or so to grab it if interested. The shirt -- "The Heart of Heartless" by TonyCenteno -- is available in blue, gray, and black, and costs $11 + shipping (usually around $3). You can check it out over at TeeFury.com. Enjoy your lazy Sundays!
Going live in a few minutes! Drop in if you’d like. :] @libregkd is joining me.
5639 plays suck it nerds.
This is a Kingdom Hearts site after all.
The search returns a maximum of 200 results (10 pages). If you're looking for things older than that you should refine your search.
Yes, the two are essentially interchangeable.
Our forum regulars have likely noticed some changes in our team line up lately. Some shuffling around of our staff members has left us with quite a bit of room on the team, and for that reason we’ve decided to open up applications to everyone. Staff applications are always open to Premium Members, regardless of whether or not we need staff members. Because we would like a high volume of applications right now, we want to make sure that everyone has a shot at applying. We want everyone to seriously consider applying, even if you have applied before in the past – that means, yes, re-apply if you are still interested! Here are some basic descriptions of the different jobs on our team, but we don’t want to limit you to them. Staff members are encouraged and expected to come up with new ideas and projects to make the site more enjoyable, as well as aid in those projects concocted by others. We find it beneficial to make our job expectations fluid—while each position has a basic niche or purpose, you are not limited to that field of work. That said, we are looking for people to fill the following positions: News Reporters Reporters keep the site up to date with Kingdom Hearts news, involve the site in community projects, and moderate the News & Updates forum. Keeping the homepage fresh is a priority. They may also write articles and editorials, and are expected to keep our official social media accounts active. Translators Translators work closely with our news team to provide translations of scans, videos, interviews, and so on. Any translation of Kingdom Hearts material is appreciated. The job requires extensive knowledge of Japanese (written and spoken), and Translators should constantly keep watch for untranslated material. Media Content Recorders Media Content Recorders are tasked with recording videos and audio from the Kingdom Hearts games in optimal quality. Powerful computers, recording equipment, knowledge of video encoding, and general tech savvy will serve Recorders well. Sectional Moderators Sectional Moderators are our jack-of-all trades. They must keep their assigned section(s) functioning in an orderly manner, mediate member conflicts, hand out punishment, stimulate discussion and activity, and involve themselves in any community project being hosted. If within their interest and skillset, a Sectional Moderator may also perform the duties of a News Reporter, Translator, or Media Content Recorder. All positions require an application. We do read through and judge every application, so we ask that you put the necessary care, time, and attention into it. Impress us! Should we consider selecting you, we will contact you about an interview. We ask that you do not approach staff members regarding the status of your application. Currently, there is no set date that applications will be due or that people will be approached about interviews. You can keep an eye on this thread for updates. Some of you may not be familiar with our application system; the application itself should be rather straightforward. You are welcome to apply for more than one position, just fill out both applications separately. If you have questions, or encounter any errors, either contact a staff member privately or post within this thread. Staff applications are accessible via this page: [CLOSED] Thanks for your time and we look forward to hearing from you! The KH-Vids.Net Staff
So again it's really down to personal preference. I think the convenience of auto-embed is more important.
I'm pretty sure you can just manually create a hyperlink and it won't auto embed.
I am way too poor to take up any drug related habits. ( I find smoking pretty vile because of the smell and obviously it's stupid from a health perspective... But I also find cigarettes kinda sexy. Not the smoking but like... The act?? Does that make sense?? )
It really has been, it's been broken since we moved to vB4... In 2010. I'm trying to adjust to a world where I don't need to use Google to search this site.
