In the UK the government was thinking of mandatory retesting every 5 or 10 years. It sounds extreme (and I'm sure it would put a lot of people off driving, as well as meaning a lot of people will probably fail it) but there are a lot of people who are on the roads that shouldn't be. I know myself that after doing your test and passing a lot of what you were taught goes out the window by the next time you drive. With elderly drivers it is health problems that are the major threat to their driving, as well as being over-cautious. I definitely think that a health check and re-test at retirement age (currently 65 in the UK, but goodness knows how high that will go >_>) couldn't hurt. People just need to remember that driving is a privilege not a right. It was never meant to be a right, you have to earn it and prove that you have the skills to do it. As well as being physically competent as well.

Go Doris Day D: The 50s is totally in fashion (Y)
Lesbian .
I wondered how all of those double posts came into existence.
It's not even a test, it's a joke. An affront to the scientific method. As with most of the attempts to prove that there is a god. Always a fault, usually glaringly obvious. Anyway, the argument will continue as those in the scientific community do not wish ignorance to reign (myself included).
You can tell they both did it. The evil people were both incredibly scary and disturbing. I MEAN, DID HE HAVE TO BE ROTTING?! D:
I hope the UN realises that there are certain prices that can be paid in order to maintain peace. Kim Jong-Il's regime is most certainly one of them. I mean, what good is he doing anyone? I say invade. While they're at it, they should pop into Burma too. Give the Junta something to worry about ;)
Ferngully was terrifying ._. It's like "This is a lovely happy love story about a logger and some fairies UNTIL THE BIG EVIL SMOG DEMON COMES OUT OF THE TREE AND POSSESSES THE BIG EVIL MACHINE AND TRIES TO KILL THEM ALL D: But yes, I remember the reference. The stone giant daddy who thought he was strong but when the big nothingness thing that was destroying everything he couldn't protect this son =/
Who cares what the general public think? WHO is an official organisation with a very important job. They have to do things by the book, whether or not the public understand what exactly is going on. People should be competent enough to find out for themselves. It's mostly the media's fault anyway.
It wasn't a pandemic before. There has to be rapid transmission from person to person in at least two countries. That second country is, as of now, Australia. They have to make the announcement so that no-one can turn round in the future and say "Why didn't you warn us?"
Looks like I'm late to the party =/
Apart from, you know, the tripling of cases in a week in Australia. From the technical definition it is a pandemic. It's just a word, you assign whatever meaning or importance to it that you want.
It's an issue that needs to be debated because religion is present in most aspects in our society. If it was wrong (which in my mind there is no doubt that it is, with the evidence there is in the world) it would change everything and a lot of people's lives. So yeah, we can't just ignore it even if the argument can never be "won" by either side (even if having the evidence to back up your opinions should technically count as winning. But no, gut feelings and dreams seem to take precedence).
I have a confession to make, I had never heard of it till I saw it on the front page of Wikipedia.
Should have said this earlier, only the once? :v
