I've been going under the name Char Aznable in order to learn about the enemy and their objectives, and as far as I can tell they're just as bad as who I fought before. As such, you can consider me on your side from now on, if you will accept me." After a brief pause during which Quattro looked over at Puru Two's stasis pod again, he continued. "Puru Two here is the product of a cloning experiment designed to create artificial Newtypes -- similar to what you likely know as Innovators -- in mass-produced ways. As the first clone of an "Elpeo Puru", she's somewhat less stable than the project would have liked, and I sympathized. When she recovers, I am hoping to sway her to our side of the conflict too. Her abilities would come in quite useful if I'm successful, and we would be able to perhaps treat the pains she suffers as a side-effect of the experiments." ~~The Battle for Dai-Gunzan~~ "Viral, huh?" Kamina mused to himself as the beastman ace appeared. "Good, now things get more interesting!" Pulling off the sunglasses from Gurren's chest, Kamina ran to the Enkidu and slashed at it, clashing blade against blade, before Kamina reacted again, slashing from a second direction in next to no time at all. Meanwhile, atop the Dai-Gunzan, things weren't going exactly as planned. As the Dai-Gunzan itself continued to fire around at the surrounding forces, Gendo was almost struck by a stray shot, which left an opening for a Beastman, who approached and almost succeeded in cutting down the Director, if not for Eis blocking the slash and following up by smacking the attacker across the head with his staff. "Simon, what gives?!" Eis yelled to the boy angrily, as he himself shot another Beastman down. "Sorry! I don't have complete control yet...!" As he spoke, Simon's mind drifted once again. It was still plaguing his thoughts; Yoko and Kamina. They kissed. They were going to be together, and he was left behind. "But why..." he said to himself, failing to understand his heartbreak. "Why can't I stop thinking about that?!" Finally approaching the engine room was Guy's group, consisting of Guy himself, Nono, and Shinji Ikari. Guy was limiting his speed somewhat in order to stay near the other two, as his Evoluder biology meant he had max speeds equivalent to to bullet trains in the open. Nodding back to the others, Guy placed his hands cleanly on the engine and began to glow a faint green, with identically-coloured lines spreading slowly throughout the systems from his hands. After a few long moments, Guy's brow furrowed with concentration. "Something's interfering with it..." he said, strain in his voice. "It's taking a lot just hold it together, the connection's going haywire..." "Anything we can do to help?" "Just check on Simon. Either he's having the same problem, or he is the problem..."
