~~Battle for Dai-Gunzan~~ Nodding at his new sister, Simon's eyes taking on the same determination that Genome and Simone's had taken as the gauge on his Lagann rising to a point it hadn't touched for a long time. "Heh. Damn straight we do." Kamina replied quietly to his alternate self, Mina. "Let's keep up the pace, Mina! We'll send every one of these Beastmen out the same way we've taken out the ones so far!" "Synchronisation rates rising rapidly! The four of them are taking over Dai-Gunzan in mere moments!" Leeron announced, as his monitor showed the rates climb to maximum. Bangher felt uncomfortable, however. There was something wrong, or... about to be. His Newtype senses were screaming at him from within, focusing on a single point on the Dai-Gunzan... "Kamina, dodge right!" he suddenly yelled into the comm, causing Kamina to do just that on pure instinctual trust, and just an instant later, a blue beam ripped through the side of Dai-Gunzan, aiming at where he had been, narrowly avoiding what would likely have been a crippling ambush. "DAMN NAKED APES!" Thymilph's deep voice erupted from his custom Gunman, the Byakou. "THAT DAI-GUN WAS GIVEN TO ME BY THE SPIRAL KING HIMSELF! IF I CAN'T HAVE IT, I'LL SINK IT! I'LL SINK YOUR BATTLESHIP!" The Byakou suddenly rushed towards Gurren and Kokuren, spear raised blade-first, moving almost too fast for the bulkier Gunmen to move... Suddenly, a black leg was thrust into Thymilph, lightning flying in every direction from the impact, causing the ape-like Beastman to be sent back crashing into the Dai-Gunzan for a moment. When the lightning and dust settled, the black leg was revealed to belong to none other than... the Gunman that formed Lazengann's body. "You two, I'm sorry I had to steal this machine, but please let me help!" a female voice said from within it. "No idea who you are, but you got it!" Kamina responded with a grin, causing Gurren to give the girl a thumbs-up pose, before getting ready to fight. "My name is Noriko. Noriko Takaya." "Alright then Noriko, you take on Viral for us! We've got a General to fry! SIMON!" "H-huh?!" Simon said from Lagann, hearing his bro call him. "Let's do it. Let's send this guy packing together!" "R-right! Let's do it, bro!" Lagann popped from it's position on Dai-Gunzan suddenly, enveloped in a blazing green glow, as it leapt towards the sky, flipping over once, then slamming itself down into the top of Gurren at high speed, the two becoming one as the helmet launched itself onto Lagann's head. "SIMON! YOUR DRILL IS THE DRILL THAT WILL PIERCE THE HEAVENS AND EVEN TOMORROW!" "BRO! I'LL DO IT! I WILL MAKE A PATH WITH MY OWN HANDS!" "JUST WHO--" "--IN THE HELL--" "DO YOU THINK WE ARE?!" Spoiler: Music The gauge on Lagann filled to the point of bursting, as green energy burst from every point on the combined Gunman. A small drill formed on every one of those points on Gurren Lagann as a large group of Gunmen leapt towards them, which was met with a grin from Kamina as he yelled out. "EAT THIS, CANNON FODDER!" In an instant, long drills that resembled those that Lazengann used tore through the center of every one of the enemy Gunmen, piercing and destroying the cockpits from within, causing explosions everywhere as Thymilph watched on with horror. "D-DAMN YOU! CONDEMN GLAIVE!" he yelled, launching a beam of blue energy towards the duo, which was almost instantly caught in Gurren Lagann's hand, stopping it dead with a barrier of green spiraling energy. "YOU'LL HAVE TO DO BETTER THAN THAT!" "But... but how!?" Thymilph said to himself, suddenly terrified. He was begining to realise just why the Spiral King wanted all humans dead; they were simply too powerful, too dangerous to be left alive. "Now... FINISHING MOOOOOOOOOVE!" The sunglasses on Gurren Lagann's chest burst off from their spot, and found themselves in the mecha's hand before anything could be reacted to, and were on their way towards Thymilph before the ape-man could speak. However, halfway there they ceased to be a single pair of sunglasses, and seperated, becoming two pairs and impaling both sides of the General's custom Gunman, pinning it in place. "GIGA..." Gurren Lagann's now-empty hand rose into the air, gathering energy into it from it's pilots and the surrounding area. "...DRILL..." A long drill burst from Gurren Lagann's hand, quickly growing even larger to the point where it matched the mecha's size by itself, as the arm lowered to point towards Byakou. Suddenly, energy erupted from Gurren Lagann, sending it forwards and upwards towards the white Gunman in a blaze of green energy, the drill becoming the only visible part of the machine as it picked up speed. "...BREEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKEEEEEERR!!" Spoiler: video As though unable to comprehend the amount of damage it had just taken, Byakou just hovered there in place with a massive gaping hole through it's torso for a moment, before apparently realising that it was, in fact, dead, and finally exploded, killing Thymilph, and ending the battle for definite. Even Viral wouldn't dare be stupid enough to stick around after seeing such a thing occur. The Dai-Gunzan was theirs.
Just a heads-up, but my next post will be focusing on the highly plot important battle of Dai-Gurren, and mostly ignoring others for the time being. This is because it will likely be a large post. I apologise if that gets in anyone's way for now.
