Well she really hoped whoever Chrono got the shirt she was wearing from didn't want it back, since by the time they were done it would certainly be smelling of smoke. Tinarah enjoyed the fresh air for a moment but seeing her friends run back in she knew she needed to as well, even if her lungs were already burning. Taking one last deep breath of fresh air, Tinarah ran back in the building. Despite Aria's warning not to push herself too far, Tinarah wasn't willing to leave anyone inside that building. The more help they had the faster they could get everyone to safety.

Once more Tinarah only managed to make it to the eight floor, but with a blizzard spell, she managed to clear the fire from the doorway allowing access for a small family to escape the apartment. Needing the fresh air, Tinarah escorted them down, casting an additional blizzard spell near the stairway to keep the fire back.
"Run" Tinarah coughed as she put a hand on the fathers back encouraging him forward as they ran down the stairs towards and outside. Once out she fell to her knees and just took a moment to breath and tend to her wounds, casting cure on herself.

Of course they would run. It was the smart thing to do, but Kiara wasn't too fond of that. She would rather have finished the battle herself instead of watching her disappear. Still it made their job easier and the pod was kept out of Nequa's hands a little longer. Glen however wasn't making things easy as he explained his situation and asked about her power around fire. "A gift from the old man when he brought me here. Don't worry about it." Kiara responded to the fire comment a bit impatiently. The battle wasn't over and here he was worrying about how she could use fire. He was as useless as ever. At least eventually he got his focus on the right thing, and it seemed Kiara and Aeira had the same general idea.

"Look, you know how horrible Nequa is. If she gets that pod it is going to be horror on all of us. Here and in the realm of Light. You haven't learned your lesson from encounters with her, Vanitus and Aux? She is only building an army, do you want everyone to die. It is better one die than everyone else. It is a sacrifice good soldiers are willing to make." Kiara snapped at him. She didn't care about his worry, they had to keep the damn thing away from Nequa, kill her while she was weak, destroy her army before it grew any more. "For now we have another issue." Kiara looked back at the fight Arctus picked up against Echo.

"Oh no, don't think you get to steal the glory now." Kiara smirked a little bit as she turned and charged back towards Echo, as Arctus rained meteors down on the boy. Taking her whip and infusing it with fire once again she lashed out at Echo trying to knock him prone. If they could make quick work of this then they would be able to get through and put an end to it once and for all, and this kid didn't seem so strong. In fact he seemed like the easiest to deal with out of any of them.

As she climbed the stairs, Mortimer noticed and greeted her. Beaming Mirela climbed the last few stairs and shook his hand rather excited. "Thank you so much for the invite. This is so incredible! Wow. I mean.... I can't believe I am here, in your house. It is an honour to be invited to this. And the food is sooo good I don't think I have ever tried anything this good." Mirela exclaimed not really knowing how to hold her tongue and be polite in a place like this. She was just overjoyed to be in this place, to be worthy of being invited here.

Lucian couldn't help but roll his eyes a little bit at Kara as she continued to cover for him. It amazed him that she was still holding the act up, but it meant that she would probably want something for it later. While that didn't sit well with Lucian, she was harmless enough she couldn't do any worse than he tended to do on his own. As they walked, Lucian remained mostly quiet, not caring to talk too much with the company he was with, more so Dylan than Kara. He had enjoyed his conversations with Kara, though they were conversations he felt Dylan wouldn't approve of.

Keeping an eye on where they were going, they eventually arrived at a small street that housed certainly illegal items. His mechanical eye focused on several of the areas out of habit for his job. He took in the area a bit as the approached a door that Dylan warned it would get weird from there on out. He brought them into a dark room and Lucian tried to look around, see nothing.
"So what now?" He crossed his arms seeming rather unimpressed about it all.

Something was off, terribly off with Mora, but currently he needed to try and get Daeni to stop worrying about issues that weren't really issues. "You aren't useless Daeni. It must be confusing having memories that are clearly not your own. You have been the most helpful, knowing what to look for and where here. I had no clue anything but the fact this place existed. If you hadn't said anything I would have passed it off as another pointless memory." Cerdic pointed out putting a hand on Daeni's shoulder. "So don't worry about it. And don't worry about me." Because you don't know what you are talking about. Cerdic didn't add the last part but he certainly thought it as he walked over to Mora and knelt down.

"Here get on my back. I will carry you down, just make sure that we don't get lost. When we get down we should look at the wound. Figure out why this is happening to you." Cerdic offered hoping that she would be alright by the time they got back to the cave. He really had no experience with medicine and didn't know if he could figure anything out, but it was better to try than to ignore the issue.

With the awkward goodbye over and done with, they could move on to the mission that they were tasked with, in which Master Thalassa opened a portal to go to. Tinarah glanced back at Choma quickly feeling guilty that she wasn't able to offer him more of a goodbye, but then turned and followed the others silently into a more city like landscape. Tinarah could hardly remember the last time she was in a real city. When she ran away from home she supposed was the first time she really spent time in one. She didn't count Evintide as a city since they never spent much time in city like area's instead having arrived more in a park and not spending much time there anyways.

The people in the city barely seemed to notice them, that was good she supposed. They didn't need to be noticed, it was probably better that they weren't since they were outsiders after all. Perhaps people didn't care too much about it but she never felt right being in other worlds or getting too involved, only doing what they needed to. And what they needed to do was apparently save people from a fire, as a ball of fire struck a building. The screams caused Tinarah to cringe for a moment before she turned towards the building and looked at it. Torrin took off on some sort of glider to deal with the man who seemed to have caused it, but since they couldn't efficiently follow, they needed to do something to help.

It didn't take Torrin ordering them to help to have Tinarah running for the building. As she climbed the stairs Tinarah could already tell how out of shape she was. By the time she reached floor eight she was already out of breath and coughing on the smoke. She held her arm up to her face trying to protect her eyes as she ran towards people trapped inside.
"Come with me!" Tinarah shouted at some of the people, grabbing the youngest, still a young child by the hand as she guided them through the flames and out of the building before turning back for the next group.

Alright everyone, this is the first month for AMV Battles. If you don't know what this is, it is a contest in which users choose one song and you are all given one week to edit with that song. The videos will then be posted up and you can vote for which one is your favourite and provide feedback to other editors to encourage their progress.

How this works is that for the next week you have a chance to suggest songs that you would like to edit with for this month. As long as the song is PG-13 it can be any song you want to edit with. Suggestions will close
March 5th and voting will start then. You will have until March 12th to vote, and then the video editing will start.

You may edit with whatever video clips you like as long as they follow Site, and AMV Battle Rules. There are no restrictions to what programs you use. We encourage everyone to try and have fun with this. If you use Windows Movie Maker, that is just as acceptable as someone using Sony Vegas Pro 13. If you need a starting point then you can always find cut scenes to use in our Archive. Remember though, you only have one week to edit. So make sure you don't bite off more than you can chew. Entries will be due
March 19th. The winner will be announced on March 26th.

Song suggestions, voting, and entries will all be posted in this thread. Once entries are in a secondary thread will be made for voting on the winner of those. And finally a third thread for the winner of the contest, which will be featured on the front page of KHV. I look forward to seeing what you all come up with!

    Suggested Songs:
    Hibikase by Hatsune Miku!
    Same Disease - Red
Meet me on the Battlefield - Svrcina
MMM - The World Ends With You Solo Mix
    Kingdom Fall - Claire Wyndham
    Untraveled Road - TFK
    Feel Invincible - Skillet

»Rolling his eyes Arian tried not to act totally annoyed with Noire, though he was. "Yeah yeah, whatever, in the future please refrain from unnecessary judgement it is just how I cope." He wasn't fond of admitting such things, but he wouldn't hide it either, Arian wasn't that dumb to think hiding something like that would make it better for him. If anything it would just make things worse. He after all made badly timed jokes often enough that if people didn't get where they were coming from he might run into one too many incidences like the one he was in previously, and that idea didn't appeal to him all that much. He would much rather people understand why he was doing it even if he didn't share the entire thing that brought him to the coping mechanism. Knowing his luck that wouldn't stay a secret forever either, half the people here already knew as it was, but Noire didn't have to know, not yet at least. His ties with the white fang shouldn't matter that much, and if someone said otherwise, then there was likely to be an issue on their hands.

With Qrow standing directly in front of her, Auburn couldn't really say no to his demand to meet him in the meeting room. Perhaps whenever this was all over, whatever he wanted to talk about, she could tell him her plans to leave. She wasn't going to tell him, wasn't going to tell anyone, but now Lazuli knew about it and he would likely tell Qrow anyways as soon as she left. Not that he would really care that much if she did leave but he would still know regardless of her efforts, so perhaps there was no pain in just telling him outright.

Lazuli was sent off to find Blaine, leading Auburn to trail slightly behind Qrow as she watched him take a sip from his flask. Her father talked highly of Qrow, but so far all she was seeing was an angry drunk. He had barely been leading them, getting in fights with new people, and bossing them around. He was the person she was supposed to look for for help? Auburn started to wonder if her father was insane for convincing her that she could do this. Nothing was going all that right and she couldn't imagine why he needed to meet with just their team, it made her very uncomfortable, especially when she found herself waiting in the room with just Qrow for the rest of her, so called team, to arrive.

Tinarah hadn't expected to hear a voice behind her as Choma approached. Tinarah stood and turned to him, respectful of her former master. She knew she should feel more, feel sad they had to leave, or something. She was terrified last time Choma left them, but now, it didn't seem to matter who was going with them, just as long as they were safe. "Yeah... I can't just sit around while everyone else fights." Tinarah said faintly to him trying and failing to offer him a smile before looking down at her hands. She really didn't know how to talk to Master Choma at this time. "Thanks for the well wishes though. I am sure we will be back soon." Tinarah grabbed her wrist looking up hoping what she was saying was acceptable. While her eyes were down, she tried not to look too hard at her own physical shape. She had a feeling that drawing attention to it, or even dwelling on it too long might make things more difficult for her to actually go on this mission. It was best to leave while they didn't seem to concerned about it, and while she could still convince herself she was well enough to be there. "Well... bye." She said shifting awkwardly. If it was Stamatis she would probably give him one last hug, but Choma, she didn't know anymore, so she waited awkwardly until it was time to go. If he had hugged her she wouldn't push him away but she wasn't going for a hug herself.

Perhaps Conrad was right, they should deal with what they had first. Everette just wanted to check the one other place, but he had run out of time. It was more a matter of getting everything done before he forgot it all, his memory had never been the best for as long as he could remember. It was believed that his memory issues came from the head injury that he had gotten when he was younger, causing his amnesia, but because of the amnesia, he couldn't tell if his memory was any better before. Nodding Everette handed over some of the bottles before he pulled out his pen and wrote a note on his hand simply saying "check river." It should have been enough to remind him what his thought process was before that. "Alright we will see if there is any cause in any of these samples first, then if the one from the well comes up with anything we will venture up and collect a sample from up river as well." Everette agreed with Conrad, slipping his pen back into his bag before motioning to Samuel to lead the way to wherever he wanted to work.

Everette looked a little concerned for his friend as he approached the meeting place. At least everyone seemed on time. "I have taken samples from the well and some of the collection barrels. Though there is an underground source for the well, it comes above ground a few miles outside the city. I was thinking of heading up there and getting a sample from there as well. If it is the well water it would be good to see where it is getting contaminated from." Everette pointed out pulling out the bottles of sample water her got before looking at Samuel again. "Perhaps you should come with us to the stream as well. It looks like you could use some fresh air. Is everything going alright in there?" He motioned to the town hall. He was worried about Samuel getting sick trying to heal everyone, and while by no means did he wish to prevent the town from getting better, he didn't want to lose a friend to it. "I think we could all use the walk. And then when we get that last sample we can work on what we have." Everette suggested before turning to Conrad. "Unless of course you discovered something? How did the trips to the farms go?"

"Okay!" Thea was quick to agree. She didn't care what cat or kittens they were, she just wanted to pet the kittens. She didn't really understand why Zephyr and Gavin were so unsure about letting her go though and wanting to come with her. "See now it isn't a problem. You don't have to worry about me going. It works great. And we can talk about things while I play with the cats right? It all works out!" Thea stated to her too companions as she turned towards the door to follow Kyo back to the inn. She was more than happy with that compromise and was practically skipping along.

It felt like pity, Daeni just giving him the papers so he could be of some use in a way. Either way he still took the papers and quickly, scanning them for any useful information that they might have to finish building the extractor. If they contained that information, they would be better off with Alder, but he could at least carry them back. After all from what he had seen so far, Alder was a bigger target for Ria because he had some of that knowledge of the machine and such. He had no purpose here meaning he would be the last to be targeted and the best person to keep the papers safe. At least that was something. He could live with that he supposed.

Looking over at Alder he nodded.
"I think we have what need. We should get back before Ria does." Cerdic said. While he wasn't going to state out loud what the papers were in case someone was listening in, he could at least confirm that they had what they needed. "Mora, how are you doing? Can you lead the way back?" He asked her making sure she was still holding in there.

Gero's answer felt like what she needed to hear in order to leave with at least a slight sense of peace. "Then tell him...."Tinarah considered what she wanted to tell Stamatis for a minute, but she thought it was appropriate to leave this on a similar note to when she left to return to her own time. "...Tell him that he better keep up practicing piano. It would be a shame if he couldn't keep up with me." She said realizing now that she had to go find her brother and get back her violin. He had held on to it for long enough for her. It was time that she took it back, unlike when she was twelve, she was a little more confident in keeping it safe during their adventures. He didn't need to hold onto it and protect it for her. He didn't need to protect her anymore. She had learned to take care of herself thanks to Stamatis.

Unfortunately for Tinarah by the time things settled down and Take disappeared with Gero, Chrono seemed to also have disappeared. Tinarah assumed it was to go say goodbye to Atmos. It crossed her mind to say her goodbyes to Choma as well, but she didn't feel it as necessary, that had hardly even gotten time to speak since she returned, and as she had told Aria, she didn't feel all that close with him. If he wanted to see them off then she would gladly say her farewells, but it was not something Tinarah felt the need to seek out at this time. That just left Tinarah standing a bit awkwardly in the courtyard. She glanced over to see Aria with Torrin, and while she didn't trust Torrin still she didn't make any effort to stop Aria from spending time with him, it wasn't her call after all. Looking away from her friend, Tinarah didn't even know if there was anyone else she knew how to talk to here, so she found herself a spot to the side on the grass to sit down and wait until it was time to depart. She would save her energy for when she really needed it. If Tinarah couldn't even complete the run, she knew going back into the field would be difficult, but she refused to say anything. She didn't want to be left behind to sit around and be useless while others fought around her. This time she knew what she was fighting for, what side she was on, she would still uphold what she promised herself when she thought she was about to lose herself to depression again. She would live in such a way that would make Fost and Stamatis proud. She would fight for a tomorrow, even if she didn't know what her tomorrow looked like. As long as it was better for everyone else, that was all that she could hope for.

In the end Tinarah didn't walk the entire distance. They got to the base of the mountain, and Tinarah barely started to climb it before she decided it was not in her best interest to push herself that hard yet. Maybe in future weeks, but as of that day it could wait. Tinarah let Aria go on without her and found a quiet spot near the base of the mountain to meditate until the rest of the group finished their run. It was at least nice to be outside for a change. She was still working through her conversation with Aria earlier, and the reality of Mika's death. Such things weren't easily faced by the young girl, but she was working on them. When Tinarah noticed the group nearly back at the base of the mountain, she got up and started walking ahead so they caught up to her closer to the castle.

When the group returned to eat, Tinarah didn't bother eating herself. She had a little bit of food earlier and she felt bad for taking food from those who just put in the work with running, she would be fine not eating much. She nibbled on a piece of bread to be polite, but that was about it. As they ate however the front doors to the castle opened and she saw Gero standing there, looking at them all. Apparently they finally reached a decision on it all, and for a moment Tinarah's heart pounded waiting to hear what they had decided. He spoke of his own and Stamatis' conditions. They were going to make Choma and Atmos stay behind, which bothered Tinarah slightly. She barely had a chance to talk with her former master, and now they were getting sent off and he was staying behind. She wasn't fond of that idea. At the very least however, he had not said anything about forcing herself or Aria to remain behind. They were still allowed to go from the sounds of it, they would just have a new leader with them.

The new leader that was presented to them, caught Tinarah's eyes. It was her. She was the one that was leading the resistance against Torrin. What was even more strange it seemed that she knew Torrin. The only Thallasa Tinarah knew anything about was enemies with Torrin. She caught herself staring for a minute before she looked away a little uncertain. As they spoke Take spoke up wanting to see their masters before they went. Tinarah didn't know what she would say, so she didn't bother agreeing yet, but after a moment, she walked over to the side near Gero to speak to him quietly.
"Before we go.... how is Master Stamatis doing? Is he alright? Can you apologize to him for me?" She didn't necessarily want to open that can of worms before she was sent away again, but she wanted her question answered before she went, she wanted to know nothing was too serious and Stamatis was healing alright.

While Cerdic sat there staring at the tree, meanwhile Daeni managed to actually do something useful and find some papers. Cerdic leaned his head against the tree, annoyed at himself for being the one with nothing to offer yet again. Daeni tried to be all happy and show him, while Alder looked over her shoulder at the pages, but Cerdic just felt like crap. "Uh huh, good job. Do they help us rebuild the extractor?" Cerdic asked not looking towards them. However when Daeni spoke up he realized the other thing that Daeni was saying. "Other peoples memories? I just have my own useless memories. What are you talking about Daeni. How is that even possible?" He asked finally turning back to the group.

The portal was open but they didn't have to go through yet, they had some time. Looking around everyone seemed to be having a good time with each other celebrating. This group that had been together for so long, and here she was, not quite belonging there. It wasn't the fault of anyone but instead of trying to find herself a place, Aislinn looked around the city, picking out a few shops she could go into. Separating from the group Aislinn began to search the shops, taking her time picking up pieces from a few different shops before making up a complete outfit. It was quite different from her own, and in the end, she dropped off her cloak, leaving the old clothes behind as she dawned her new outfit.

Returning to the group, Aislinn gripped her player pin for a moment, looking around at everyone. It was almost time to head back, but there was one more thing that she needed to sort out, that was these auras that they got. Aislinn sat for a moment, focusing trying to find her aura, her center as a familiar song filled her mind. After a few minutes she felt it, an aura guided by sound, much like her fighting style. She often let music guide her and now would be no different, it was just in a different way. There was a soft smile on her face as she opened her eyes. "Well time to go I guess." She sighed again. Finally they were heading back to the realm of light. Soon she would see her sister again soon.

Walking towards the portal she let her player pin be returned to the game, ready to get back. Her mind wondered what the entrance fee ended up being. Perhaps she would find the answer for that as soon as it was returned to her. She hoped so at least.

Well she managed to trip Lima, but it wasn't enough to stop the girl as one of the new boys stepped in as well to help out. The boy tried to whip out at her with flames, but the flames seemed to just absorb into her skin. "Thank you I feel better now." Kiara stated with a smile as she ignored Echo and continued after Lima. Meanwhile Aeria helped her with protecting the pod, Finlay and Koe were dealing with the heartless Uniform had summoned earlier. If Glen started helping then they shouldn't have too much of an issue dealing with these guys, or at least she hoped. Kiara sent out another attacked aimed at Lima's legs, hoping to buy Aeria more time to get to the pod. Kiara knew she would have to deal with the one called Echo eventually but she was trying to put off dealing with him until they could make sure the pod was safe.

It was unfair to them both and Tinarah started feeling bad for only complaining about herself, when Aria was stuck in at least as equally as bad of a situation if not worse of a situation than her. Sure Tinarah felt used, but she was pretty sure her part in this whole thing was over now. She had done her job and now was tossed to the side, her own suffering trying to build herself back up, it didn't matter to Light Chaser anymore. Her only role was to lure Stamatis out, and unless he decided to capture her again to try and bring him out once more, there was no other really role she could play for him. Meanwhile Aria was actively being hunted. He wanted to keep her in his grasp because of what she was. But Aria was here with her, comforting her instead of dealing with her own issues. It made Tinarah feel guilty. So much was going on and she was only worried about her own pain, she hadn't thought of what Aria was going through.

"Perhaps he didn't know how reckless you were, just knew that you almost got swallowed by the darkness once and didn't want to risk it happening again." It wasn't much better, but it was a bit better than knowing someone was watching you and knowing you far better than they should. "If it makes you feel better I would rather have you with us, than forced to stay here. I know the masters would keep you safe, but it would feel too distant.... that is if they even let me go." Tinarah looked down at her, the shape she was in. "I don't know, if what you said about Stamatis is true, he might be too worried to want me in the field either." Tinarah pointed out. Her health wasn't quite up to par with everyone else's. She planned to use this walk to see how bad things really were.

After another minute Aria finished speaking and they agreed it was time to get some fresh air. Getting off the bed she glanced back at her lunch, wondering if it was a mistake not finishing it. She wasn't feeling in the mood to eat anyways, so she tried to forget about it as she followed Aria outside to where others were starting to gather. It seemed that her and Aria were not the only ones to take Take up on his offer. The boy was already jogging in place while others gathered and spoke among themselves. Tinarah stayed back a couple paces, observing them fidgeting with her sleeve as she watched them enjoy themselves. The fresh air, it felt so nice and refreshing. While it was slightly chilly, that didn't bother her as she closed her eyes and took a deep breath in, meditating where she stood, focusing on the sounds of the outdoors, blocking out the sounds of the people around her. She missed the quiet woods that surrounded Stamatis's castle. The fresh air reminded her of that. While she had been outside in short bursts the day before, she hadn't taken the time to appreciate the outdoors. Now it just felt nice to be outside breathing again. She felt less trapped. Perhaps Take was right earlier in suggesting she needed this after her meltdown.

Opening her eyes after a moment she looked back around, refocusing herself on where she was. She hoped she would be able to last the entirety of the walk, if not she figured she could always find a nice place to rest until she was up to walking again. The area really was rather beautiful and it helped calm her stressed out mind a little bit. She would have to thank Take for the invite out later. For now she felt he was too busy and she didn't want to interrupt.
