“What do we got?” The man asked.

“Jailbreak,” Another man replied, “group of prison buddy’s.”

    “Who’s gone?”

“Almost everyone. Three guys blew a hole in the wall. And all the prisoners jumped out of that hole, straight to freedom.”

The man sighed, “This is bad.”

The other man shrugged, “Not really. At least we get to see some action, finally, you know?”

“I guess,” The other man replied. The two men held guns to their U.P.A. bulletproof vests. A jailbreak in Port Royal was unheard of since the Government’s started funding the place. Port Royal still wasn’t exactly a smoothly run metropolis, but it was a whole lot more civilized then it used to be.

“So what do we do when we see em’?” One of the guards asked.

“Shoot on sight,” The other one replied.

    ***

“In other news, Port Royal had a jailbreak.” Secretary Rorak’s voice said through the U.P.A. lunchroom speakers. “Sixty-nine escaped, Sixty-six returned or dead.”

“What about the other three?” Lexx asked to the other U.P.A. officers in the lunchroom, “Does anyone know what happened to them?”

“I was talking to Rentu the other day,” A man from the other end of the table said, “He was actually sent down there. Those three must have gotten off world somehow.”

Lexx raised an eyebrow, “Isn’t the process of leaving and arriving on a world put on halt in a state of emergency?”

The man shrugged, “They must a… past security somehow.”

“Who were the three escapees?” Lexx asked.

“I think it was… uh, Hojan actually, the guy who went all crazy before Raijin betrayed him,” The man said, “Then… a guy named Lutan Fuji, he was involved in the Princeton bomb case.”

    “And the third?” Lexx asked.

“Then there’s a… Alyt Jadar?” The man said, “She was involved with a terrorist group, and was apparently working with the infamous Tera Roth for a whole lot a time. She was another Knight turned bad.”

    “Alyt, huh?” Lexx said.

“Yeah…” The man replied, “Shame with all these law men turning bad, eh? Hard to fight for what you believe in now a days…”

“Yeah…” Lexx muttered, “Any idea were they are now?”

“Not a clue,” The man replied.

    ***

“I can’t believe this…” Alyt muttered, as she climbed the rocky cliffs.

“Out of all the place’s to make a secret base, you really thought it was a great idea to make it on top of a cliff?” Hojan complained, “A cliff that you have to climb up?”

“Why couldn’t’ you just teleport us to your base directly?” Lutan yelled. Aeron Acteon sighed, “Because, idiots, teleports can be traced. And I would of seriously collapsed had I teleported you from Port Royal all the way to the Pride Lands.”

“I never heard of that…” Alyt muttered, “I never heard of traceable teleportation.”

“Trust me, its out there, and the U.P.A., the CG, and any other funded organization had one,” Aeron explained, before climbing over the final ledge onto flat ground.

“Well, lady’s and gentleman, we have arrived,” Aeron said, pointing to a large tent. “That’s it?” Hojan asked, as he, Alyt, and Lutan climbed over the ledge.

“That’s your huge secret base?” Hojan laughed, “You have got to be kidding me.”

“I’m not,” Aeron replied, “Now… I need you all to help me out.”

    “Why should we?” Lutan asked.

“Cause I busted you from prison, that’s gotta count for something, right guys?” Aeron said.

“We never asked you to free us,” Alyt commented, “You just did it out of the kindness of your heart. Hojan and the other guy may feel like they owe you, but I don’t.”

“I owe you nothing, buddy,” Hojan said.

“I’m with these two,” Lutan agreed.

Aeron smiled, “Ah… but I think you may want to work with me. I can give you things you want. Alyt, wouldn’t you like to be with Tera Roth again?”

“I would like that,” Alyt said, “But I can do that myself.”

“Doubt it, not with the U.P.A. on your tail,” Aeron said, “I have connections though, I can clear your records, I can clear Tera’s, yours, Tyre’s even.”

Alyt looked to the side, “Fine, I’m in… only if you come through on this though.”

“And Hojan,” Aeron said, moving towards Hojan, “Wouldn’t you like a bit of sweet revenge on a certain Tui Rajin?”

Hojan smiled, “You hit your head, man? Raijin’s dead.”

    “So you think,” Aeron replied.

Hojan raised an eyebrow, “We work for you, and you do these things for us… I get that, but… do we also get paid in cash?”

    “Of course, “Aeron replied.

    Hojan shrugged, “I’m in.”

“And Lutan,” Aeron said, “Wouldn’t you like to meet up with your dear friend Vecked?”

Lutan chuckled, “Look man, I like Vecked… I like him a lot. But I’m not going to the ends of the earth for this guy. He got me into trouble, so screw him.”

Lutan smiled, “I’m never working for you, Aeron. Thanks for the offer though, see you guys later,” Lutan said, walking back towards the cliff.

“Lutan… wait, there’s one more thing I have to tell you,” Aeron said, running up behind Lutan.

“What’s that?” Lutan asked, turning around.

“Your dead,” Aeron replied, before pushing Lutan off the cliff.

Lutan’s screams could be heard as he fell, and then they were silenced as he hit the ground. Aeron turned around, Alyt had her sword out, Hojan had a pistol.

“What the hells wrong with you?!” Alyt demanded. “Why’d you do that? Lutan was annoying, but that’s no reason to kill him!”

Aeron shrugged, “He looked like the type of guy who would snitch. I can’t let this operation be put at risk.”

“How do I know I’m not next? Or Alyt?” Hojan asked.

Aeron shrugged, “Your just gonna have to hope for the best.”

Alyt glanced at Hojan, before putting her sword back in its case. She could probably take Aeron if he ever tried anything.

“Glad to see you two have come to your senses,” Aeron said, as Alyt and Hojan put away their weapons. “Now, if your gonna be working with me, your gonna have to become a little less noticeable.”

“This coming from the guy with red and black hair, spiked to the ceiling,” Hojan muttered.

Aeron glanced at Hojan, before shaking his head, “Ignoring that; you two need to change your look to the extreme. Hojan, I’m thinking… brown hair, brown eyes, maybe a businessman’s haircut, and a brown suit. Alyt… I’m thinking brown hair, brown eyes, cut your hair a bit, look a bit more casual, jeans and a shirt.”

“When it comes to fashion, you know your stuff,” Hojan muttered again.

Aeron glanced at Hojan, “Ignoring that; you two should look as unmemorable as possible,” Aeron pulled out some brown hair dye and colored contacts, “I’ll give you an hour to look normal.”

“Nice to know we have time,” Hojan said sarcastically.

Nulix slowly woke up. He heard people talking nearby, probably the Brotherhood members. Nulix looked around, it was a grass field, in the middle of the night. At the end of the field was a fire, three people sat around it.

Nulix tried to move but fell down instantly. His hands and feet were tied together. "How do I get out of here..." Nulix muttered to himself, wait... the cellphone.

Nulix slowly moved both his hands into his front pocket. He lifted his phone out carefully, not wanting to drop it. Nulix flipped it open and pressed the buttons with his chin. He went to his phone book and went under X, Xane was the first name that showed up.

Nulix sighed. The moment he walked out the Factory, back onto the city streets into the rain, he would be getting a bullet in his head. “I see sixteen exits, with windows,” Nulix muttered to himself, he escaped a city before… four years ago, with Vecked. The difference from then and now, was that then he actually knew the city.

Nulix sighed; maybe he could sneak out somehow. Nulix turned to Ulian’s body. Nulix opened up Ulian’s bloodstained trench coat; there were many different cards. Credit cards, driver’s licenses, membership cards, even a U.P.A. card.

Nulix paused, a U.P.A. card? Nulix pulled the card out and examined it. U.P.A. Field Agent 600619, Uulian Resparo. “He’s in the U.P.A.?” Nulix thought to himself, before looking through Ulian’s coat some more. There were envelopes, all of them to different addresses.

“Destiny City, Destiny Islands, Sora System…” Nulix muttered, picking one of the envelopes up. Nulix opened it up and and began to read the paper inside. They were U.P.A. application forms; all of them had the ‘approved’ symbol at the bottom.

Nulix sighed, before pulling out his cell phone. The Brotherhood wouldn’t wait to go inside the factory… Nulix estimated that he had a good five minutes or so before one of the Brotherhood members decided to check what was going on.

    ***

“Dear Mister Bernstein, I’m happy to say that the marketing is going well,” Lexx said, sitting in his apartment on the Water world of Antlas. Lexx walked out of his bedroom into his living room, what a view he had, he was on the twenty-sixth floor in the famed twin Antlas towers, from here he had the perfect view of the ocean, the city, and Carlton street.

“Don’t worry, it’s become hip, I mean I’ve turned the war… cool, if you will,” Lexx talked into his cellphone. “No no, the public doesn’t feel like it’s being bombarded with propaganda, if I hit them with swag like… Oh, Sora System is the greatest, we win wars, we bring peace, crap like that, then it would feel like I’m shoving stuff down the public throat…”

“No, what I do is, I create a very small, relatable group of… war hero’s, spinning this into a positive light. The name U.P.A. is already beginning to be forgotten, the Ultimate Organization however is now a common house hold name,” Lexx said.

Lexx stopped for a second to hear the person on the other end, “Yeah, you think this is just a pretty face Bob? Come on man, I’m head of Head of Public Resources for a reason.”

“Wait… Bobby boy, gotta let you go man, incoming call,” Lexx said, as his home phone rang, “Yeah… yeah, see you at the convention… yeah-, what?... yeah, no problem, yeah… alright, bye,” Lexx said before ending his call.

“Now who could that be?” Lexx muttered to himself, walking over to his home phone. “Hello? U.P.A. Lexx speaking, if it’s about the UO make it quick,” Lexx said, “And in future, take questions like that to the Internet.”

    ***

“And in future, take questions like that to the Internet,” Nulix heard from the speaker in his phone, “Lexx, is that you?” Nulix asked, “I’m trapped man, I’ve got info about peoples in your units, people who want to double-cross you… I need some help first.”

    ***

Lexx raised an eyebrow, “Uh… who is this?”

    ***

“It’s Nulix of the UO you idiot!” Nulix barked.

    ***

“Nulix?” Lexx started, “How’d you get this number? What are you doing?”

    ***

“Not now!” Nulix yelled, “There are agents in your unit who work with the Brotherhood. If you do manage to gain control of the Virus, they will kill you all and take the Virus with them.”

    ***

“How do you know about the Virus trade?” Lexx asked in a more serious tone.

    ***

“We know more then you give us credit for,” Nulix replied, “Listen, send a squad into the Dark worlds right away so they can save me, I’ll give you my location while they move, I’m in a tight spot, I need you to-”

Nulix paused; he heard laughter on the other end. “Nulix… Nulix, Nulix, Nulix….” Lexx said on the other line, “Do you honestly think I’m going to send a squad all the way to the Dark worlds for your sorry behind? You obviously don’t understand the position I’m in-“

“No!” Nulix yelled, “No Lexx you don’t understand the position I’m in, get a squad here right away! Lexx? Do you hear me?! Get a squad here now!? Lexx?! Lexx!”

    ***

“Sorry old pal,” Lexx chuckled, “The less people who know about the Virus trade, the better. You were the least memorable in sales anyway…”

“What are you talking about?!” Nulix said on the other end.

“I’ve gotta go man,” Lexx replied, “Nice knowing you, and remember, you’ve got a good life.”

    ***

A beeping sound could be heard on the other end, “No… Lexx,” Nulix muttered, slowly falling to the ground. “Well…” Nulix said with a sigh, “The easy, most likely to survive route won’t work…. So I’ll have to make an alternative.”

Nulix stood up and looked around. This really was the best scenario to be in… in the situation. If you ever end up surrounded in a factory, make it a weapons factory.

“Guns, guns…” Nulix muttered, walking threw the factory and picking up any weapon he could find, “Guns… And then there’s the gunblade…” He said with a smile, picking a large gunblade up.

Nulix walked threw the factory until he reached a large, tank styled gummi ship, complete with air proof canons. Nulix climbed into the gummi carefully. “My last charge, and then hopefully I can fly off this world…” he muttered, before starting the engines.

    ***

A large, blonde man sat under an umbrella in a rooftop gun turret aimed straight at the weapons factory entrance. “When are we gonna send the new kid in to kill this guy? I hate trying to aim in the rain…” The man said into his walkie-talkie.

“You’re sending me in? Nice to know you care,” A voice replied. The man gave a gruff chuckle, before leaning the walkie-talkie to his mouth again. “Hey man, new bloods always the most expanda-” the man started.

He did not get to finish his sentence, however, because just as he was talking, a gummi ship shattered threw the factory’s glass ceiling and into the sky. “Shoot it!” The man yelled, shooting at the gummi ship as it flew.

    ***

Nulix pulled on the gummi ships steering wheel as far to the left as he could. The rain made it almost impossible to see anything out of the windows except for grey. Nulix heard bullets hit the back of the ship, no harm done though.

Nulix sailed threw the sky for about half a minute before he was hit with more gunfire. The bullets hit the front of the ship this time, shattering the glass windows. The rain hit Nulix’s face hard, it was now impossible to see a thing. Nulix tried to steer blindly threw the sky, hearing bullets hit his ships metal left and right.

Nulix opened his eyes for a second and tried to steer, an object was starting to become visible. Nulix squinted, trying to get a better view. A large, brickstone red object was flying towards him.

And by the time Nulix realized what it was, it was too late.

    ***

“Did you just see that!?” Another Brotherhood member on a rooftop gun turret commented into his walkie-talkie, the gummi ship had hit a clock tower head on, causing a huge explosion. The red and yellow flames looked even brighter in the rainy blue sky.

Vecked pulled his goggles off and observed the burning ship. “I think I blew that thing up!” he said happily into his walkie-talkie. “See if the pilot survived,” a female voice responded.

Vecked slowly climbed down the turret tower, careful not to slip in the harsh rain. Vecked eventually reached the rooftop and began to sprint towards the gummi ships debris.

Vecked jumped from house to house until he reached the burning ship. “There’s no one in it,” Vecked commented, looking into the ship. “The pilot was just a kid, he fell onto the street. Bondi’s says he’s alive, go help him,” the voice said through the walkie-talkie.

Vecked jumped down from the rooftop and onto the wet street. “Hey Ked,” the blonde man said, walking over to Vecked, “Take a load of this.”

“Whoa…” Vecked started, as the blonde man pulled out Nulix’s body. “He’s a UO member…” Vecked commented, “I didn’t know they were in the Dark worlds…”

“The UO?” The blonde man asked.

“Ultimate Organization, a group of nobodies, they are really strong,” Vecked said, “Keep him alive maybe, Scourge will probably want him alive…”

The blonde man shrugged, “Whatever, lets just get out of this rain,”

    Vecked nodded, “Yeah.”

OOC: This officially marks my return to the UO. Sorry I've been gone, I've been busy with schoolz and other stuff.

    BIC:

Nulix walked threw the city streets. After getting kicked out of the Tournament, Nulix decided to spend some of his money. Unfortunately for Nulix, Munny was not the currency of the Dark Worlds. Even though he had Ten thousand munny, he was still broke.

Nulix was going after Ulian Ecko, because he seemed like the weakest of the Brotherhood. Meaning he was the one least likely to brake your neck if you talk to him.

Finding Ulian was easy enough, Nulix had noticed that Ulian’s gun had the words Accitech on the side. So did the detonator Ulian had given Nulix during his second fight. Accitech was obviously a weapons manufacturer, one that Ulian had easy access to.

It took Nulix a few days to find out where the nearest Accitech factory was. It was just a few worlds away from the Tournament. Nulix could make it there and back in maybe a week. This was where money became an issue, because Nulix had none, and he needed to get somewhere. So, Nulix hitchhiked his way from ship to ship, eventually getting to the world he wanted.

“Two weeks,” Nulix muttered, it had been two weeks since he left the Tournament, twice the ideal time. Nulix walked down the city street, it was raining hard in the city. The world was called Ragnai, he didn’t know the name of the city, and it didn’t matter. Nulix looked up at the large factory beside the street.

Nulix approached the Factory entrance. “Can I help you, sir? Or should you be on your way?” The factory guard asked, blocking the factory’s doorway. “Is this the Accitech factory?” Nulix asked. “Yeah, what can I help you with?” The guard asked. “What was that?” Nulix asked, putting his hand over his ear.

“Can I help you buddy?” The guard asked, leaning closer to Nulix. As the Guard leaned in, Nulix put a needle in his neck. The guard collapsed on the ground, dead. “I love modern technology,” Nulix smiled, raising the needle in the air.

Nulix walked into the Factory and looked around, it was empty, no work on the weekend. “Hey. That man’s dead,” Ulian Ecko said, jumping down from one of the factory’s conveyor belts.

“Hey,” Nulix said, raising a pistol to Ulian’s face. Ulian smiled, “Why hostile? I thought we were friends?”

“What’s Scourge after, Ecko?” Nulix asked, “He’s dispatching his best men in a fight tournament, there’s a whole lot of money swirling around it, it all goes to those in it. The Brotherhood’s only goal in it would be to kill the UO, that ain’t all that important.”

“Say’s who?” Ulian asked, “Maybe the Brotherhood revolves around your organization. Maybe that’s all that stands between Scourge and world domination, maybe-”

“Shut up man,” Nulix said lazily, “I got a gun to your head; the Tournament has to be a distraction. A distraction for us, Scourge is getting more powerful, the reason he doesn’t go out and kill my teammates is because he doesn’t think he’s powerful enough. He’s trying to get some type of weapon that’s powerful enough to kill us. He doesn’t want to put his best men on the field because against people like Xane and Xardius, there’s a fifty fifty chance the Brotherhood or the UO will win.”

    “Very smart,” Ulian said.

“Shut up,” Nulix responded, “Shut up till’ I’m finished. So Scourge needs an ace, I need to know if he has one in his sights.”

Ulian smiled sheepishly, “Jeez man, you’re put me in a tight spot. But fine, you probably won’t make it off the world alive, so sure I’ll tell you. What Scourge is after is the same thing Lexx is after, the same thing the CG was after. The ultimate killing tool, a.k.a, the Virus. And everyone is willing to sell their soul to get this tool.”

Ulian smiled, “The Virus is still under the control of one of the so called Four Gods, funny how only one of these gods are left.”

“How’s Scourge planning on getting the Virus?” Nulix asked.

“Negotiate, same as Lexx is trying to do, same as the CG is trying to do,” Ulian explained.

“What type of negotiations?” Nulix asked.

    “None confrontational,” Ulian replied.

Nulix sighed, “I find that hard to believe, the Brotherhood has never played by the rules before, why should they now?”

Ulian smiled, “Everyone has to play by the rules here, cause if they don’t the Virus can kill them. It’s not just a matter of killing the god and taking the Virus, they also need to buy the secret to controlling the Virus. You don’t screw with something that can kill you, Nulix. Scourge knows this.”

Nulix sighed, “This is bad,” he muttered.

“If your gonna do something about it I would suggest you do it soon,” Ulian said, “Scourge could be given the Virus any day now.”

“I’m not too worried,” Nulix replied, “The god who has the Virus right now is in a position of power. He realizes that if he gives up his trump card, the Virus, he won’t have any importance anymore, and Scourge and anyone else will kill him. The god won’t give up his trump card until he has a good evacuation plan. No one wants to die, and right now the god is being given the time to secure his life.”

    Ulian remained silent.

“I have to go,” Nulix muttered. “I have to go back to the Light Worlds, talk to Lexx, get our heads around this.”

“You can’t,” Ulian replied, “You can’t help, everyone knows the same amount or more then you. The only people who don’t know are your teammates.”

“Then I’ll get to them, tell them what’s going on,” Nulix said.

“A regular detective, eh?” Ulian laughed. “Yet you got so caught up in finding me that you got no clue what’s happening to your friends as we speak.”

“My friends are fine,” Nulix replied.

“Are you so sure?” Ulian smiled, “Do you know where… Wing is?”

    “Of course,” Nulix replied.

“I don’t think you do,” Ulian said, “By the way, good luck getting too your little chums again. I doubt you’ll even make it off the world! In fact, by morning your probably gonna be dead, boy.” Ulian laughed, “Your gonna be dead!”

“Shut up man,” Nulix said, pulling down on the trigger. Blood flew from Ulian’s head as he collapsed on the floor. Nulix sighed, now he needed to get out of here…
