Just as she thought she would have to take the reigns and start them off, Electric Blue spoke in a timid voice. Noëlle folded her legs criss-cross-apple-sauce style and rested her chin in her palm.

Well... About a year ago... I-I had this girlfriend... And we had a fight. Needless to say, we broke up, and didnt speak for a few months. During that time, I fell for this other girl named- Well, that's not important. What happened was, my ex ended up running off with her, and it made me so mad! One day, as I was driving home, I saw her at the crosswalk, all alone. I-I don't know what came over me, but as soon as she started crossing, my foot floored the accelerator and...

...Oh. Okay, well. Pressing her lips together to stay quiet, Noëlle scratched the back of her head. Everyone was sort of quiet for the moment, unsure of what to say. This definitely changed her view of Electric Blue, though. She was unsure if it was for the better or the worse, though. She wanted to ask her if her ex was ... dead, but before she could, Alice spoke. While she did, Noëlle rested a hand tentatively on Electric Blue's shoulder, offering a bit of comfort.

I'll go. Just... let me add the finishing touches...

Oh. Alice was using a piece of paper and a pencil, instead of saying it aloud. Interesting. They waited patiently, appreciating the transition from the somewhat ... awkward confession. Finally, Alice flipped the paper. It read SEBASTIAN. From...The Little Mermaid? Did she have some kind of underwater fetish, perhaps? How ... naughty. Noëlle smiled warmly, placing a hand on Alice's knee and nodding her head in understanding, her cheeks flushed.

Finally, as it seemed Sophie was going to remain quiet and uninvolved, it was her turn. Both prior confessions had been rather ... revealing, honestly. She would have to match, but not expose too much.

Well, she started, in a gentle voice.

Since we're opening up about some more...risqué topics, I guess I'll share something mildly personal. I'll save some of the really deep stuff for later, but for now... I've never really been much of a romantic. I have trouble allowing myself to be vulnerable to someone. I don't honestly trust very many people... Not to victimize myself. I don't mind. It's made my life easier. That being said, um... Seventh grade was kind of difficult for me. There was a lot of peer pressure. To smoke, drink, and most importantly, lose your virginity. I have a pretty good reputation for being honest. I tried a lot of things, that year. Made a lot of friends. But when it came to sex... There was no one I felt close enough to. Well, there was one guy but... He wasn't interested. Anyway. I didn't want to lie about it, but I wanted to ... Experience it. So, because besides that one guy there was only one other person I trusted enough to give into... Myself. So I took my own virginity. I won't explain how, but ... That's what I'll share for tonight.

After a few minutes, Nowlle climbed into bed. She tried to stay awake for the closing, but her body wouldn't let her. Instead, she fell asleep.

Just a reminder, today is day 4/4, which means you need to put your character to sleep before 12AM PST. Failure to do so results in a strike. 3 strikes result in a boot from the RP (ha ha ha like everything). Reminders like these will stop now, I just want everyone unfamiliar with the system to have a fair understanding, haha.

Right now your characters should be focused on 'secret time'. If anyone in your group isn't around or is about to get a strike, don't worry about it. Worry about yourself. 8) If you have any questions, just ask. If your counselor hasn't mentioned Secret Time yet but you're ready to go, then pretend like they've started it.

Edit: There are ways to be excused from day ending without penalty, like Saxima's case. But it has to be something like that (early warning that you'll be out of town or something), or some kind of emergency. People who say they 'can't post' but don't have a valid reason as to why and/or are on Tumblr, KHV, Skype, FB, ETC get no mercy, pff. Please try and be responsible and communicative! :'D

The spaghetti had been excellent. On average, the food here was wonderful, even if she didn't always like the dishes that were served. Noëlle often wondered what it was like to be a volunteer cook for the camp, but she didn't see herself signing up any time soon, even after graduation. It seemed a bit tedious, and no amount of roaring applause would convince her otherwise.

After she had finished eating, she immediately found herself exasperated with being in the dining hall. Leaving her plate and empty water cup as instructed, she smiled at the people around her and excused herself. At the time of her leaving, some big-haired brunette had claimed the stage and started messily belting some kind of Italian song. It was kind of adorable, but mostly just loud.

The gentle gust blowing through the camp made her sigh, filling her heart with contentment. The light vest she wore over her tank-top tickled at her arms, and she lifted her hands absently to part her hair over her shoulders, exposing the nape of her neck to the soothing breeze.

Dinner would end, soon, and they would be going back to their cabins. Noëlle yearned for a long walk through the forest, but it would have to wait ... Once night fell, the camp leaders became particularly strict about doing such things. Instead, she walked a short, visible trail down towards the bank of the lake. Her sneakers dug into the gentle earth beneath her, and she basked in the soft glow of the warm sun meeting with the playful wind gliding over the water.

The sound of students caught her attention. Dinner was over, by now, and it was time to head back to her cabin. Before she could make it back though, a voice caught her ear.

    Noëlle!

Turning on her heels, the turquoise-eyed sixteen year old came face-to-upper-chest with someone she recognized. Alice. Short dark hair, violet eyes, and a dress that looked like it was made for prom (though very lovely).

Oh, hey Alice, Her lips spread up into a warm, friendly smile, and then she noticed the flecks of worry in the girl's eyes. I didn't think you were coming this year.

I'm so-so-so-so-so-so-so-SO sorry, Noelle! I missed the first bus and had to take a second!

Haha, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Did you speak with Kevin or one of the other leaders? Alice facepalmed and Noëlle gave another friendly laugh.

I don't even know if I even have an assigned cabin as this point.

Aah. Honestly, she was surprised Alice had even made it if she was late, but decided not to question it much. It was a bit worrisome, she had to admit, if it was so easy to waltz into the camp without a group. Folding her arms below her chest, Noëlle 'hmm'd thoughtfully.

You should come to my cabin, for tonight. We've got the room. I'm in Cabin C. We're just about to start Secret Time. Then you can talk to someone in the morning about getting your cabin letter?

The suggestion was a bit impulsive, but Sam didn't seem like the type to mind -- especially because Alice was a pretty ... recognizable student from school. A look of apprehension appeared on Alice's face. Obviously, "Secret time" had prompted the nervousness, because it suddenly appeared after a brief smile to Noelle's offer.

I-I'd love to! She rubbed the back of her head with an unsteady laugh. Aww.

Great! Without any more idle chit chat, the two made their way back to Cabin C where Noëlle explained the situation. When everything died down, the two took a seat.

So who wants to go first? If no one wants to I will, since why should you guys be the only ones to share things? But if not then I'll just go last.

Oh. Eh. She looked around, hating to start off, just in case the cabin was filled with cowards who weren't going to reveal much. One of her cabin members was playing something and eventually fell asleep. Her disappointment grew nearly ridiculous high. She wanted to switch cabins pronto, so far these kids were pretty terrible.

We'll go now and the others can just catch up.

Excellent! Though, she couldn't help but wonder who the fourth person in their group even was to have not shown up yet. Her disappointment was rising. Bryan wasn't her counselor, Sam was sort of lazy seeming -- and had ignored her, and the fourth member of their group was late. Even so, it wasn't the time to mope around! She had to keep her energy up, just in case the scavenger hunt was tonight.

Before they could all get out of the door, someone else entered. That was nice. It was a girl with dark hair, and brown eyes with an amber tinge. Very pretty, and vaguely familiar. She quietly claimed her bed and pulled out a keyboard, playing a couple of notes. Noëlle pressed her lips together and diverted her attention, standing up in a stretch.

    What are you here for?

Unsure of what exactly to say in response, or what was meant, she ran a hand through her thick, curly hair in thought.

Well, she started tentatively. if you mean at camp, it's always nice to have something to do during the summer. If you mean Fortissimo, I sing and play the harp, along with the guitar--though I prefer to play my ukulele instead of lugging that thing around, haha.

She was just about to inquire the same of her, when someone new sporting electric blue hair came in -- and then left. Ah. Well, then. A bit rude not to even say hello, but... At least all four of them had shown up now.

    We should get going.

Humming along, Noëlle left the cabin with everyone else. The air was slightly cooler now, with a mild breeze rolling over the camp. It was nice. As they walked, she absently wondered if the girl from earlier--who she would call 'Electric Blue' until she knew her name for sure--had that hair color naturally. Noëlle's own pale strawberry locks were chemically achieved. Her natural hair was a sandy brown, like Bryan's, but she never thought it suited her turquoise eyes. Maybe strawberry-milk-pink was a bit too out there to some people, but she enjoyed it. It was eccentric.

As she walked, she could swear she heard some kind of shouting but...hey, this was a camp. Nothing unusual about that, so she ignored it.

The dining hall was already filled with people. She was grateful for the assigned seating, for once. Finding the table with a 'Group C' stand in the center, Noëlle took a seat. Her eyes scanned the room and immediately caught sight of Jack, sitting awkwardly with Group H. Raising her right hand, she waved, but was unseen.

Kevin stood by a circular wooden stage, chatting away enthusiastically with another leader while someone she had never seen before set up a couple of speakers.

While she waited for the 'fun' to begin, she poured herself a glass of cold water. Moments later, music dripping with a heavy bass blasted out from the speakers, causing a few students to yelp in surprise and filling the dining hall with laughter. Kevin himself had flinched, but it had obviously just revved him up more. He jumped onto stage with a microphone and the lights dimmed, a spotlight pouring down onto him. Noëlle wondered if Kevin was an actor, or something. He seemed to really love the attention.

Heeeelloooooo campers! I hope you guys have been having a FUN time so far?!

The crowd replied with several variations of 'yes'. A few smart asses answered with 'no', earning a laugh from their friends.

Alright! Well, dinner will be out shortly. There's a little tradition we like to do here. When the food is brought out, I want you all to clap and cheer as LOUDLY as you can, to thank all of our hard working volunteers for the meal!

If you have any allergies to anything brought out to you, please inform someone immediately and we'll get you a substitute meal!

Before we eat, I've got a couple of updates for you folks. The Treasure Hunt will be happening tomorrow night.
A chorus of disappointed groans sounded and Kevin grinned.

I know, I know. But tonight we're going to kick off another special tradition. Instead of waiting for the last weeks like we usually do, we're starting Secret Time early!

For you newcomers, this is an activity done within your cabins between your group. Basically, you will all get together tonight and share one secret or new thing about yourself with your cabin members. Each night, you will share something new about yourself. It is a good idea to save anything 'big' for the last weeks, and to start off sharing something simple, but it's your choice.

This is a good way to get to know each other and form a BOND with your camp members and make new friends! You guys can talk about any topics that come up. The activity will be lead by your counselors! When you're done, you can head to bed and look forward to breakfast.

    Sound good?!

Not really, no. Secret Time was probably one of the worst things about this camp. Sure, she had made a couple of friends through it but there was always a divide between those who thought they were superior somehow by not sharing anything of importance (she hated these people), those who turned it into 'them' time by whining about this and that, and those who just seemed to cry about everything and make it awkward.

AWESOME! One more thing. This stage is free to anyone. When there's no one on it, feel free to play your instrument, sing or whatever you'd like. You have ten minutes each. Now, without further ado, we serve you dinner! Let's give these folks a HUGE round of applause!

Kevin stepped down from the stage, leaving his mic. The volunteers mentioned from earlier came out holding trays of food. It looked like spaghetti, bread and salad. Yum!

It's fine to make him an actual character, but the telepathy is a bit too god-moddy for this sort of RP. It'd be preferable that there are no powers like that, at least for now.

With her bed claimed and made, and her suitcase kicked under her bed (she preferred to keep all of things close and not in the provided drawers), Noëlle was ready to go! Exciting, somewhat. Unfortunately, it didn't seem like she had gotten a very high energy group...That would suck, when it came to the outdoorsy activities. She mulled over her potential competition, remembering that she had forgotten to say goodbye to Jack and mentally scolding herself.

    Bonjour . . . Wonder who else we'll be sharing with . . .

Not paying much attention, she took a seat at the edge of her snug looking bed and smoothed out her shorts. It was feeling a bit cooler, now.

Did you have a nice reunion with your brother?

...Weird. That shouldn't have made her eye twitch, but she masked it with a blink so it should have been alright. Rubbing her eyes after, she nodded slowly. There was no need to get possessive at the mention of him, after all, hahaha.

Yes, I did. It's always nice to see Bryan.

The moment didn't drag on for very long, which pleased her. Soon, she had put her feelings out of her mind and was standing up to give Samantha her phone. It actually felt pretty nice to unplug for a while, she thought. It wasn't as though she really used technology that often and there was no need to at a camp like this. There was so much free roaming and interaction that it just seemed like a waste to coop yourself up and drown in such things.

The counselor was pretty cool about it, though. She seemed...chill? Was that the word?

Aah...What was your name again? Sam...? It was a silly question, because the name was plastered right on the woman's bed, but Noëlle wondered if she would like to be called something different. Something like 'Ms. Sam', maybe.

She was hungry, and she wanted to see Bryan and Jack again, but she also noticed that there were only three of them present? Where was the fourth?

Also, are we going to have to wait on whoever is missing or can we just head out? How anal groups were about attendance depended on the counselor. Maybe 'Sam' would be cool enough to let them go on time?

Kevin finally finished and the box of cards was passed around. Jack stood up immediately to grab at it, nearly tipping over with the weight of her massive backpack. Her cheeks were still stuffed with the marshmallows she had gotten, and her forehead glistened with sweat from the heat.

Noëlle decided to wait patiently; somewhat regretting her decision to choose a place on the outside of the circle. Ah well, it was much calmer than the fray of bodies in front of her. When the box eventually reached her hot hands, she wished on the sun and the moon that this year she would finally get to share a cabin with Bryan.

The slip of paper felt heavy between her fingers as she pulled it out from the box. Without paying much attention to anything else, she passed the cardboard on to her right. Her chest felt tense and nervousness began to churn and seethe in her stomach. It wouldn't be the end of the world if she didn't get a room with him, really. She had managed just fine last year, but ... This year was a bit different. This year, she wanted to be as close as possible.

With a deep breath edging on a gasp, she flipped the slip over.

    Cabin C.

Now it was time to find Bryan...

    Hey little sis,

Without much of a warning (not that she needed one, after hearing his voice), Noëlle felt her hand being taken by a slightly warmer one and her body being pulled forward into an affectionate embrace. Perfect timing! Her arms wrapped back around him and her nose pressed into the shirt he was wearing, taking a deep inhale. Her toes curled in her sneakers before he casually pulled away.

Are you excited for this summer?

Bryan! I missed you. Yeah, I'm pretty excited, haha.

The laugh came out a bit forced, as she was just a little nervous. It was the strangest sensation. She was comfortable with Bryan. More comfortable than she was with anyone else--he was her brother, after all. They had bathed together, cooked for each other, cried together, slept together and so much more. He was a permanent part of her life...but there were moments of awkwardness that she felt. This was one of those moments.

Noëlle took a step back, holding the slip of paper out in front of her wordlessly, with questioning eyes. Bryan flashed his and her heart sank.

It sucks that you're not in my cabin -- I was kind of hoping for that! I guess we'll see each other during activities, though.

    Definitely!

Her voice cracked and she covered it up with a cough into the crook of her arm, waving her free hand back and forth and croaking 'dry air' dramatically, just as someone else--Sophie(?) greeted them. They both waved. Bryan made sure she was alright and then leaned forward, kissing her forehead, before disappearing. The shiver down her spine was so violent that she thought she may be forever paralyzed. He walked away, giving her time to recover.

When he was out of sight, she crumpled the slip of paper in her hand and grabbed her suitcase, dragging it against the gravel and over a few unclaimed marshmallows. The path leading to the cabins was not too long, but it was long enough of a stretch to give her time to unwind and get used to the idea of being away from Bryan -- again.

The cabins were as plain as she remembered them, but that was okay. It felt more authentic this way. It was a way to encourage the students to participate in outside activities. The only thing that really bothered her was the shortage of blankets. That's why she had brought one of her own from home.

She opened the door and stepped inside. Eek. Hot. She couldn't wait until the sun set. Her eyes scanned the room. Oh. Sophie was here, too. They must be rooming together. Noëlle didn't have much of an opinion on her, most times. There was an older woman there too, laying on one of the beds lazily. Was that her counselor? Disappointing.

    Heeeey, everyone.

She greeted melodiously, as if they were all friends already, dragging her luggage over the wood floor to one of the beds towards the back of the room. Heat rose, so she claimed a bottom bunk. The nearby window would keep her cool, too. Without saying much more, she started to make her bed. There were names on a couple of them, so she quickly picked up on what was going on and waited for the paper to reach her before making a decorative 'Noëlle' name tag and sticking it to her bed frame.

    Some things;

    • There are four people to a cabin (five if you count counselors). You can see your groups above. Please don't add random people to your cabin, lol, unless there is an NPC in your group (listed, again, above).
    • Right now, the Dining Hall isn't open? They'd be preparing for dinner. Dinner is at 5:30. You can see the time in my posts, and I'd also tell you guys.
    • This RP has a lot to do with romance, obviously, but please don't oversell it. It becomes a bit redundant. We don't need to hear about how constantly horny or interested your character is in every post. Leave some room for growth and development. Everything is kind of all over the place right now, calm down.
    • This RP has some ~unrealistic~ elements, such as the love potion, but if I wanted y'all to have powers I would have made a 'power' section in the Skeleton. Collaboration and getting interesting does not mean going completely over the top with your characters.
    • The chat is made for discussion as well as bonding and just talking. That being said, for everyone being overly-sensitive / dramatic about the silliness, calm down. In addition, anyone being OVERLY obnoxious / silly, calm down. I will kick you from the chat if you're doing either extreme which will just make your life harder because you'll miss out on any updates not posted here.
    • There are a couple of you still posting posts that are too short (below 3 paragraphs -- they don't have to be ULTRA long paragraphs or anything). Fix it, or you'reeee outtttt.
    • Check the OOC. There is no reason you should not check the OOC for updates.
    • Just a fair warning. Some of you already know this, but I do not usually hesitate when it comes to killing people off. Characters will die, haha. You can prolong your character's life(lives) by remaining involved / relevant and also being competent. Posting decent posts, following the rules / guidelines, remaining interested and involved. I'm expecting more of you because of the type of role play this is, so please try and put your best foot forward!

I think that's it for now.
