    WEATHERCLOUDY, COLD 36°! ✖『DATE & TIME』 12/19/2015 - 2:00PM ✖『DAY』 02.2

Julius had never responded to her text and was no where to be found once she arrived back on campus with Bryan. The school was pretty much empty, besides the auditorium, and a couple of other classrooms reserved by clubs for the break, so he would have been easy enough to spot if he were present.

... Then again, it was the weekend and maybe Julius had a wife and kids and was too busy to meet with her after all. Somehow that bothered her ...

Dejected, Noëlle entered the auditorium. She wasn't alone, so she made sure to plaster a smile on her face and greet anyone around with a 'hello' and a somewhat dismissive 'how are you' as she strode up to the stage. The lights were warm and a bit bothersome, but the stage was otherwise comfortable. Inviting, even.

She hadn't bothered with auditioning for a role in the play and a part of her regretted it. She couldn't help but feel a bit ... jealous of Maria having gotten the lead. Her competitive nature made her wonder if she would have been cast.

Noëlle didn't consider herself an actress, but she honestly didn't consider herself much of anything aside from a romantic. Music was a ... thing of her's, but she wasn't phenomenal at it, in her opinion [ at least not any more ... ]. She was athletic, but her love for such things had ... dwindled down a bit. All of her time lately was consumed with feeling sorry for herself.

Nestling into the warm leather of the piano stool, Noëlle breathed in. It was a calming, steadying breath that served to distract her from her feelings [ and combat the urge to gaze out into the audience for Bryan ]. Her fingers glided forward to the smooth, white keys of the familiar instrument before her.

No one was barking orders at her yet, so she was able to play a quiet, sweet melody unrelated to the musical, providing the theater with a gentle ambiance.

Well, I generally allow consideration for re-joining / retrying if the reason the day wasn't ended was legitimate, like an emergency.

Right now I'm going to say you're out, but when more time has passed I may contact you again.

    Accepted, thanks for joining!

    WEATHERCLEAR SKIES, COLD 34°! ✖『DATE & TIME』 12/19/2015 - 9:26AM ✖『DAY』 02.2

Noëlle wondered why he wouldn't be staying, but not deeply enough to ask. She thought abou the question and sighed. She wasn't feeling as down today, and she had wanted to talk to Julius, assuming he would be there ...

I'll go too, I think. I did say I would.

    Not that it mattered.

Finally, with nothing more to say ( well, nothing she could tell him ), she stood up and gathered both of their dishes, slipping her shoes back on and walking back into the house.

    WEATHERCLEAR SKIES, COLD 34°! ✖『DATE & TIME』 12/19/2015 - 9:26AM ✖『DAY』 02.2

The sound of the door opening caught her attention and she lifted her head. Bryan filled her view and she quickly diverted her gaze, pretending at first to be occupied with her phone, before clumsily grabbing her tray and placing it from the glass patio table and into her lap. She pinched a sausage between her lips and chewed down on the half in her mouth, fighting off awkwardness as best as she could.

Good morning, he greeted cheerfully. She genuinely smiled, though she felt a bit uneasy. How could he be so bubbly in the morning? It baffled her. Already eating? I think I'll make breakfast for us tomorrow, since it's Sunday and mom has to go in early.

That would be nice, she guessed. A warm, homemade breakfast made by Bryan. She wished she had offered to make him something, instead. Maybe she would have, some time ago ... Before things changed. Her fingers reached out for her tea cup and she murmured a soft 'mhm' back in reply.

Or . . . Maybe we could go out?

Oh, there it was. Her heart swelled, stomach spun, and she softly gasped into the sip of tea she was downing, throwing herself into a mild coughing fit as the liquid traveled down the wrong pipe.

Her eyes were burning by the time she recovered, but she wasn't too concerned about that. The tea cup was dropped ungracefully back onto the table and she shifted and leaned over the arm of the chair she sat in, peering into Bryan's moss green eyes for any hint of retraction. When she found none, her cheeks flushed and her body curled tighter, turquoise gaze redirected out into the cold, hazy streets.

    Yeah, that sounds fun.

Her voice betrayed none of the anxiety and mountains of enthusiasm she had tucked away inside of her, though her aura must have lightened considerable, fingers drumming against her knees to an invisible beat.

Even when she finished eating, she didn't move. She didn't want to. Her feet were tucked under her body and her fingers eventually clutched and played with the string of her bath robe thoughtfully. She wanted to say something to him, but she wasn't sure what. It had been ... so long. They were still close, and all, for the most part, but he had no idea what was going through her head and it bothered her and made her feel ashamed, especially after last night ...

Um ... Are you going to rehearsal today?

    WEATHERCLEAR SKIES, COLD 34°! ✖『DATE & TIME』 12/19/2015 - 9:20AM ✖『DAY』 02.2

After a dreamless sleep, Noëlle found herself awake and restless. An irritated glance at her phone confirmed a few things for her. It was only nine in the morning, Julius had replied to her text, and there were no emails from Quentin. Not the worst start to a morning, but it could have been better ...

She sighed softly and rolled onto her stomach, tucking a stray lock or burgundy-hued hair being her ear and pouting at herself in the mirror of her vanity again. There were dark circles forming under her eyes, and her shoulders felt stiff. Man, she needed a vacation! If it weren't for this whole musical thing, she would be using Winter Break for one. Maybe in the Spring ...

With a deep breath that triggered an ache in her chest, she crawled out of bed and began to hum quietly to herself.

A trip to the bathroom left her with a washed face, messy hair bun and a minty mouth. Then she was off to the kitchen, wearing her house shoes and fluffy bath robe, and looking for something quick to make.

She settled for toast, eggs and sausage and left just enough of both for Bryan -- if he wanted anything. Then, she took a seat outside on the patio with a hot cup of tea and a tray of breakfast. Her spine relaxed into the large white swinging chair and her toes slipped from her slippers. Her knees bent and she curled up a bit in the fluff of her blue bathrobe.

After a bite of eggs, she gazed down at her cell phone.

Lots of strikes for not ending your day given tonight.

Aislin no longer exists, because schedule-deadline missed.
Mindstorm has reached 3/3 strikes, which means Adrian & co no longer exist.
Dinny has reached 3/3 strikes, but also told me before hand that she wouldn't be able to post frequently due to her trip, so she is excused until the next strike.

There's still twenty minutes left, if any of you make it in before then. Others were given strikes tonight, too.

Any one can start us off during the next day. It's Saturday, which means rehearsals aren't as strict on what time you start / how long you're there. So feel free to start us off in the morning, waking up, or at 2pm when rehearsals would usually start. Whoever starts off the day can pick what time it is.

    WEATHERCOLD 36°! ✖『DATE & TIME』 12/18/2015 - 11:02PM ✖『DAY』 01.2

Her conversation with Bryan had left her drained and emotional. It was a terrible, terrible thing ... Honestly, she didn't know if she would bother attending rehearsal the next day. What was she, again? The ... Accompaniment, or something? It was tedious, the times she had bothered with it. She just sat there and played when needed, rendered useless when not. It wasn't at all as prominent a position as Bryan's ... She had hoped it would at least inspire her for her project but that hadn't happened, either.

When they were both finished eating, she was pleadingly asked to finish up the dishes as Ms. Chambers had an important call to attend to. It didn't bother her. The warm, soapy water felt nice on her cold fingers, and the task gave her a break from thinking too much.

After putting the dishes up and packing away left over food, Noëlle hopped into the shower and then into bed. The room was dark, save for the glowing of her phone illuminating a small area of her bed. Her fingers tapped and slid through pictures and internet results, and then she found herself on her contacts list. Feeling a strange, mildly ( about 46% ) hysterical compulsion, she found herself tapping on Juilus' name and bringing up the messaging application.

    Message To: Professor Julius
Hey, would you mind looking out over some compositions of mine tomorrow or Sunday? :)

Maybe it would be best to get out of the house. She felt anxious and alone, unable to stop herself from messaging someone else.

Message To: Quentin ( email )
Hey, longtime no talk ... How've you been? I've seen you around, in rehearsal, but we've not talked much since ... then. I don't know, I was just thinking about you and remembered I still have your email address. Hopefully you actually check it. :P We should hang out sometime! Get some coffee, or something less generic. Lemme know. I hope you've been well. - Noëlle

    Seeds planted.

Now that she was finished, and felt a bit better, she turned off her phone's display, buried her face into her tobacco scented pillow and fell asleep.

Mary never replied, and through the rest of rehearsal, Oliver was quiet and unsociable. When he was finished with his part, he stacked the tickets up and left them beside Pierce.

When you're done, put these in a manila folder and give them to Julius. Nice meeting you, Sophie.

When that was finished, he threw away his pretzels, grabbed his bag and left the copy room with a friendly wave towards both girls.

The commute back home was a quiet one. He was in a pretty sour mood, but he was trying not to let it get the best of him. He was home before rehearsal would be ended for everyone else, and made himself a small meal [ spaghetti and pasta sauce ], pulling out some books to study with and hoping his room mate Reed wouldn't be home too soon.

They had been best friends in middle school, and though they drifted, managed to reconnect at the beginning of their first quarter at Fortissmo. He was barely ever home for very long periods of time, but tended to pop in at random points in the day. Besides school, Oliver had no idea where he spent all of his time, but he enjoyed the solitude ... sometimes.

A quick sign in online confirmed that Mary was 'away', though he was pretty sure she was just avoiding him. He couldn't lie. It hurt, a bit, and when he was hurt, he just kind of got really upset with things.

Later that night, he took a shower and hopped into bed, turning his phone on the maximum volume setting and pondering whether or not he'd feel like attending rehearsal tomorrow afternoon. It took a bit of time to get to sleep, but once he did, it was a deep and peaceful one.

    WEATHERCOLD 36°! ✖『DATE & TIME』 12/18/2015 - 9:00PM ✖『DAY』 01.2

Just a few hours ago, books lay tossed and discarded over the plush carpeted flooring of Bryan's room. Clothes, papers, and miscellaneous objects she had no interest in where thrown onto the bed, or his desk. His entire wardrobe and closest were gaping, spilling items out over her feet.

She had found all sorts of interesting things in her brother's rooms, but only a couple of things that really caught her attention. Finally, after several failed attempts, she had really gathered the courage to look through everything. No mercy. She had even managed to accidentally tear a part of one of his posters off ( oops ), and when her mother had gotten home, she pretended to be out -- with Bryan, and shut the lights off, sitting on the center of his bed holding the box in her lap absently.

Her tongue ran over her bottom lip several times in deep, deep thought. Bryan was ... twenty-one. It wasn't unusual for a twenty-one year old to have condoms ... or lube ... It wasn't unusual, but it pissed her off. Heavily. Very, very much so. Intensely. Her entire face was burning and her chest felt constricted.

About a year ago, her mother had had a ... talk, with her about all of the time she spent with Bryan and how clingy she was. It only deepened Noëlle's growing resentment towards the woman, but she could -- logically -- understand, so she backed off. Where she would usually follow, she stayed back. Where she would usually confide in him, she wrote in a journal instead. It took a while, but she eventually started to casually 'date' -- though it was just to get everyone off her dick about it.

Drugs, alcohol and mild vulgarity eased their way into the Bryan-less pits of her existence and loneliness ate away at her previously friendly demeanor. Inside, she was just as sensitive and emotional as always, but ... She fell into depression hard and fast and while her obsession with her brother appeared to have dissipated to the outside world, it was probably ten times worse. She loved him. She wanted him, and he -- apparently -- wanted someone else ... or more than one person. It made her sick.

Before he got home, while her mother was still cooking, she messily fixed up his room and slipped out. Then, she snuck back into her room -- with the condoms and lube -- and tucked them under her mattress, scratching the back of her hand in the process.

When she heard him walk through the door later that evening, she opened her window and climbed out with a pair of sandals, trailing in after him the moment their mom asked where she was.

Rehearsal was fun tonight, Her voice was a bit scratchy, but otherwise usual. Her eyes met Bryan's, attempting to somehow request that be play along if needed, and as soon as Ms. Chambers left the living room to answer a phone call, Noëlle was heading into the kitchen to grab a quick bite to eat -- just to hold herself over.

Bryan wasn't answering his phone, which was unusual of him, but ... She could understand. He was likely busy. Instead of continuing to call, she left a groggy voicemail stating that she wasn't feeling well and didn't plan on attending rehearsal. It was true, though she felt perfectly healthy with the exception of a dull stomach ache. Really, she just wanted some time alone. A break.

Her mother was out at work and she was able to lounge around the comfy home wearing nothing but a pair of pajama shorts and a thin tank top. It was nice, being home alone, and always refreshing to take a mental health day.

Noëlle spent most of her afternoon in the music room, practicing scales and reviewing her own bland, uninspiring compositions with contempt. She had a huge project due at the beginning of the new quarter and so far nothing was turning out the way she wanted. It was annoying.

Once she gave up with that, she returned to her bedroom for a cigarette, pinching it between her lips and lighting it. The smoke danced about, eventually giving her room a hazy glow. Her muscles clenched and then relaxed, and she gathered herself up onto her bed, raising her leg and lazily using her foot to unlatch her window and push it open.

A cold, winter breeze immediately swept through her room and she shivered and groaned out softly. Her body twisted onto it's stomach, and she plucked the cigarette from her lips, gazing over the headboard and at the vanity she had set up last spring.

She hadn't changed that much on the outside. Bright turquoise eyes, long dark-red locks -- dyed, of course. Same button nose, roundish cheeks, pointed chin and heavy eye-lashes. She had -- err -- developed a bit in certain areas, something her mother had predicted.

Other than that, same old Noëlle, she thought. Well, physically.

When she was through giving herself a stare down, she leaned out of her window to flick her cigarette and take one last deep suck. Then, she sighed and rolled out of bed, shutting the window and going on the search for her ashtray.

She wasn't entirely sure when her fear of smoking had disappeared. Sometime after her talk with Bryan, probably. He had advised ( well, told ) her not to smoke ever again but she eventually brushed the warning off.

The ashtray was found in the music room. Once she put out her cigarette and opened a window there, too, she carried herself to Bryan's room. He wouldn't be home for a while, and she missed him. As she usually did while he was away, she closed his door and started to dig through his ****, searching for condoms or any other indication that he was dating -- or sexually active.

They were never apart for too long, so she never got a chance to really turn the place upside down. Maybe today would be different ...

Stacking a few copies together for efficiency, Oliver started cutting away neatly and swiftly inbetween each intake of pretzels. The boy had left, leaving the three of them to themselves. He was beginning to feel a bit of regret for letting Sophie tag along. Had she no where else to be? Today was a bit more awkward as a result of her presence. She and Pierce were friends. Pierce was stupidly timid around him, which left Sophie to act as a distraction and Oliver to become socially unnecessary.

Overall, he guessed it was okay. It was just ... interference. He had been planning to talk to Pierce with a bit more depth, today.

Ah well. Instead, he kept quiet and stayed out of their conversation, doing his job and busying himself with pretzels and eventually his cell phone. It rested on the top of the blue table, buzzing every once and a while with a new message from her. Mary.

Hmmm ... The main character does a lot of growing up, and though his initial intentions / goals aren't as glamorous as Lelouch's, he ends up pulled into the whole 'rebellion against the government' thing. Then you have the whole ~ mysterious girl ~ and the unusual power the main character is granted + drama and emotional scenes, and mecha fights and action lol. Not to mention the OST is incredible.
