so i'm the kind of guy who hates Summer. i have a really low tolerance for heat. i get frustrated at anything higher than 75 degrees fahrenheit. right now it's almost 90 degrees and i'm wanting to commit genocide.

anyways, my question is: summer lovers, why do you enjoy summer so much? summer vacation is not a reason.

hey i've kinda been away for like a month sorta kinda, and i can't use skype for a while so i'm just gonna copypaste this post i made on tumblr in case anyone cares where i've been

basically my laptop’s motherboard is dead and now i can’t use it. this sucks because i liked that laptop but it’s okay BECAUSE the hard drive is fine which means i technically didn’t lose anything. awesome.

currently i’m using the ‘family’ computer which is A PIECE OF POOP. it sucks. this thing has 512mb ram. that’s stone age ****. the positive is that’s the only bad thing about it. RAM is cheap and i can easily get 2GB for like $60. once i do that i’ll replace the HDD in this computer with the one from my laptop AND IT’LL BE LIKE NOTHING HAS CHANGED. i’m relieved because this means i don’t need to shell out a ton of money for a new laptop.

i’m probably going to buy a new monitor though because this thing is like 1280x1024 and ew that’s nasty. i’ll shoot for a 1920x1080 because why not right?

the problem is really simple but i'm scared out of my mind. my partner feels like we're not communicating like we used to. we've both been incredibly busy with life and haven't been able to get together much, and we always hit walls when trying to talk over the phone or even in person. i know you cannot force conversation, but i'd really like some advice on this.

also, i would like to add that one problem is that she is not that big into video games, and i'd really like to talk about them with her, but i'm always scared she won't be interested and i end up reading into what she says too much. when we play games together, she does have fun, but i'd really like to share my ideas and views about video games especially because i'd like to work in that industry, and if i feel i can't talk about that stuff.. well, that's an issue.

so yeah: what should i do to spice up conversation between the both of us? we already do fun stuff together, but we're really looking to focus on improving our abilities to have meaningful conversations and not just small talk to pass time.
