The funeral had come and gone, rather uneventfully to the always happy man. He watched all the families, and friends of said families, grieve, weep and whatever else people do at these mourning things. He wasn't entirely sure how to deal with all of these things, and he saw Little Baker Bro wasn't doing much better. Well that would be selling him short. Evan had been just unsure on how to feel. Little Baker Bro however, just seemed to be silently sitting there, like he was lost. Like he didn't really know what to do, but was on the verge of breaking down at any given moment's notice. Though it seemed to be a step up from the completely dead expression he had earlier. When all was said and done the duo ended up leaving silently and going to their respective homes. Evan dropped Little Baker Bro off at his apartment and watched him as he silently walked off into his apartment. He knew the kid would be able to bounce back from this, it would just take time. Just like it had before. Evan sighed, gave a slight grin and drove off back to his own place. Once there Evan viewed the text message made by Little Vixen. He found it to be adorable. Technocolor freak, what a card she was. He was tempted to text her back and further ask questions about her love life, but that'd have to wait for another day. Tonight though, Evan felt abnormally drained and decided to pack it in early. Wondering what tomorrow would bring he hopped off to his bed and slept, with nothing but happy thoughts.
The young student had "woken up" outside any sort of building and stared down at the pad in hand. It showed a rough sketch of a what appeared to be a cloudy sky with a sun trying to peek through said clouds. It had been something that the young student had been working on for some time. However, Emile stared at it questioningly, not really knowing how this picture came to be. "Actually, how did I get here?" Emile asked to no one in particular. The student looked around quite confused and unsure of what had happened prior to lead up to being here. As such Emile though back to what had happened this morning. It was a morning quite like all others prior to it. Waking up and being Monday, the young student was quite exhilarated to go to classes. Sure it was nothing new, but the feeling of going to a prestigious and quite selective art school was still fresh and unbelievable. Each day held new excitements in it and all the young student could do each morning was smile and giggle in sheer glee to another day at probably the greatest school to exist. Emile got ready for the day and went out nice and early, determined to be the first to class for once and get to working on the drawing during class time earlier than everyone else. Merrily skipping along to the building to start said exciting day, the young student looked at the sky. It was always such a beautiful thing to look at, something Emile had always enjoyed drawing up. Speaking of which, the young student took out his backpack and looked at a picture that always seemed to get more complete by itself. Emile didn't recall ever putting any amount of effort into this project but was always wanting to put more than already was into it. The young student began to look up at the sky and started to lose focus a bit. His hand reached into his backpack and pulled out a pencil and just started sketching involuntarily. Oh yeah. That's what happened. They young student put his sketch away and looked at his watch noticing the time. Oh no! There was no way he was going to be early at this rate. He started running full speed, which admittedly was not fast in the slightest, all the way to the main building. Standing outside the door, he bent over and started gasping for air. Emile had an upset expression on his face, because now he wasn't early and tired. Not a fun combo. Oh well. The young student got his breath together and put on his cheerful happy face. Walking through the doors he noticed the familiar faces of his other Riverton peers. "Hello Aiden, hi Renée-chan, hi Dio, hi Professor Lutvig." His rather feminine voice rang out to the people. Merrily walking to an empty table, Emile sat down and took out the work meant for school time. It was a drawing coming along with nothing short of a medieval style battle field with knights, unicorns, dragons, bears and hippos all duking it out...in a garden with rainbows. Giddily Emile started to zone everything out and go into work on said picture.
Sol was rather upset by the fact that someone wanted to drag this process out more by "learning" more about the ruins from this Ruin Maniac. Mostly because he was 90% sure that she would go off on another rant about how magnificent and blah blah blah this place was. Boooorrrriing. Thankfully due to Fredric's ability to...well get people to not rant like lunatics, he was scott free from listening to that sort of a rant. Unfortunately there was a chance that the huge beasty thing down in the passage they were taking might not even have to take on the big beasty down there. Well regardless, he was going to have to conform to this group's stealth tactics to avoid the boss monster, because as much as he loved fighting, he wasn't stupid enough to take something that strong, supposedly, on by himself. Feather footed and agile he continued alongside the group in stealth mode.
Despite his best efforts and those of all the other fallen they were eventually captured by the possessed. They were all dragged out and brought before the leader of the possessed. Or at least that's what he thought since she was able to speak. He wasn't entirely sure to make of this scenario until someone else came skipping and bounding in, with one of the happiest expressions he had seen. Based on the way she spoke and acted she seemed to be the actual leader behind these things. Wonderful. Not to mention she seemed able to destroy the hotel they were staying at just blew up. Fucking great. There went his nap. He sighed at the angel who introduced herself as Harbonah. Really wasn't ringing any bells and Maalik wasn't interjecting with anything right now. Looking at her with his usual bored expression he was just blunt with his question. "So, what comes next?"
Alright so because finding an instrumental for my song is proving to be pretty fruitless, I'm going to change songs to Impossible if that is alright.
7 Richard wasn't entirely confident in his ability to keep up the pace and kill all the zombies that would bound into here. He knew that he'd tire eventually and be overrun so a tactical retreat would be the best option. And a tactical area to go to would be where they all started out. He started running back to the place where they had all slept previously hopefully that would be a good place to meet up with everyone, and albeit, probably make some sort of last stand there. He ran into a few more of the zombies on the way and cut them down easily, no fire or anything. Just a clean cut. Eventually he made his way back to the rooms where they had stayed at and stood there, trying to regain his strength.
12 Brandon continued his journey through the hotel, not really sure of what was left of the zombie horde. Where were they all even coming from? In fact, how long could the gang even last under this constant pressure? No, those were loser questions. And Brandon wasn't about to be branded a loser. Not here and not ever. A-a-are you go-gonna be able to k-k-keep going?" He heard Jo's worried voice ask him. He kind of forget when one was exhausted they showed visible signs of it, so he was quite surprised by the question. Regardless he looked back at her and smiled giving a thumbs up."Don't worry about me. I got this, no problem at all." He pumped his fist in the air, but exhaled deeply this time. He was getting quite tired, but there was no way he was going to give his friend a cause to worry. "But then... I-if I say that he's a loser... th-then what does tha-tha-that make me?" He heard Jo ask that out loud as she was about kill another zombie. That kind of came out of nowhere and he wasn't really sure what to make of it. She apologized after killing the zombie, though it looked more like to the zombie than him. Maybe she just randomly thinks out loud sometimes. He looked forward and saw a zombie charging him and coming for a bite. Brandon put up his right arm to take the blow, coating it in electricity before getting gnawed on. However using the electricity he was able to deflect the zombie and make it break its jaw from stretching too far. Man this repel ability was useful. Though using it to that degree made Brandon collapse on the ground for a bit from fatigue. He was eventually able to pull himself back up and said, "sorry sorry. I'm fine really."
15 Richard stood there, watching the outside as more of the possessed took note of him. He didn't exactly stand out in comparison to the foreigner man before, but now that he had ignite some of them, they were pissed off and ready to eat him. They charged at him recklessly and he took note of all of them as they came. He, Richard, was going to knock them all down. When two came at him he was able to slash at them and kill them easily. Three of them continued to attack him and he was able to easily ignite them. What he wasn't expecting was one to pop up from behind and clawed his back. Richard grunted from the pain, but mist came from the wound, burning it shut and igniting the possessed. It was at this point Richard was starting to feel the pressure from using his powers so liberally. His back was in pain, his hand was in pain, and he was getting tired from all the fighting. When was that nap coming?
14 Brandon continued to walk through the hotel, hunting for zombies, with Jo by his side. The zombies seemed to be appearing in sporadic numbers and he wasn't really feeling anything about it. Before it had been fun zombie fighting time. But now, now he was just sort of unenthusiastically lopping them down. He was only able to see them as enemies, and all enemies had to be defeated. And not in a fun video game kind of way either. Not to mention using his lightning powers weren't exactly the least energy costing attacks. He felt the sweat come down across his forehead and he looked at Jo to see how she was doing. She seemed to be doing alright right now, but he wasn't going to let his guard down at all. He was going to mow through all of these zombie freaks. He saw two drop from the ceiling and sent a wave of lightning upwards, killing both of them, but leaving Brandon a bit drained. He wasn't feeling too hot right now, but he wasn't about to give up yet.
23 He continued to walk forward until he looked outside the hotel. "Well then." He saw his foreign opponent he had faced back in Norway fighting off a massive horde of the possessed outside. In fact he looked like he was having some sort of fun with it. He sighed and at the realization of something about this horde. It was the place where all the possessed were coming from. And if they were coming from there, that meant that if he killed them all, then he'd be granted his rest. Granted, he wasn't going to run out there with a bad sword hand into a mob that could easily overwhelm him. Instead, staying inside the hotel, he fired off a stream of mist that engulfed and ignited some of the zombies outside. He casually stood there as he watched them all burn down.
26 Brandon was walking around with Jo and noticed as she started talking to herself...again. Man she had a habit of doing it. Though he was able to hear her say something about how all of them looked like high school students. That was actually a bit unsettling to the boy at first, and he contemplated what he should actually do. He saw Jo and it seemed like she now had a heavy burden on her as she struck down her next foe. He saw another one coming to try and devour the duo and his saddened face suddenly steeled. High schooler or not they were still an enemy. And an enemy was something stood in the way of a person's victory. And winning was everything. He stepped forward, electrocution his blade and killed the zombie by slashing at it, not even flinching. "Alright then," he turned back with a smile on his face, "we got this. No need to worry about anything. Best we can offer these guys now is just their defeat, because otherwise their conscience will just have eating us as the last thing they did. So let's go." He continued walking forward.
25 Richard was busy lounging about in the lobby of the hotel just not doing anything. In fact if anything he wanted to go to sleep. That sounded like a good idea. Then again it always sounded like a good idea. 'No. Sleep is a definite no in this scenario.' He heard Maalik's disapproving voice resound through his head and was slightly annoyed by it. 'You're going to keep killing these things until they're all gone or you're dead. Either way I'm fine with it, but sitting around and being a lazy shit is not in either of them.' Richard stood up, extremely pissed off by the angel in his head, but he went on anyway. This fighting was such a bother, and these possessed were the cause of it. Once he was done with this he was going to take one hell of a nap. He got up and started walking when suddenly four more zombies charged into the lobby. With his bored expression he brought up El-Harriss and threw it at one of the zombies. Then he caused it to stream mist out of it, which turned into hellfire burning them up. When was this going to end?
24 Brandon watched as Jo killed the zombie and clapped for her. "Yeah, that's they way to do it!" He pumped his fist into the air and had a large grin grow on his face. "Don't worry I'm sure you'll be awesome at this in no time at all, after all you already seem to got the hang of the whole slashy slashy thing down." He looked forward and pointed, "well now let's get busy and go on more of a killing spree that a way." He lead her forward and further down the hall until two more zombies came up in front of him. He stepped forward and electrified his blade, getting ready to go on a total rampage and electrically sliced through both of them only to notice three more coming at him. He didn't really want to ignite serve the three of them and didn't feel like rushing them either, so instead he charged his blade and fired of a bolt of lightning through it that killed the three instantly. He huffed a bit before regaining his breath. "Alright let's keep going!"
22 Brandon was resting up a bit at the room he was in before he just walked out of it and started walking around the hotel. It seemed rather vacant now, aside from the dead bodies. He stood there regaining his breath and continued walking down the hall until he cut off by a swarm of for more zombies. Brandon started running away from them once more and cut a few more zombies on the way that tried to bar his path. Eventually one of them seemed to be faster than the rest and caught up with Brandon much faster than it should've. It came down to bite at him and Brandon didn't know how to counter this, until a light bulb powered on in his head. He let loose an electrical charge that pushed the zombie back, kind of dazed. With that out of the way he continued running until he noticed his white haired friend. "Yo Jo! Good morning, how ya doing?" He looked back and saw the zombies still charging at him. "Oh yeah, I brought friends. Do come join in on the fun." He gave her a thumbs up and did two more ignite serves, killing two of the charging zombies, and then he sliced through one with Vis Vis's sword form, leaving one left for Jo.
21 Richard kept up his assault on the possessed and their numbers continued to dwindle beneath his blade. He had a momentary lull in the possessed onslaught to collect himself. He stood there when he heard more approaching. Great. Barely a few seconds of break and they were coming back for more. He looked at the approaching numbers, counting five more. That was just wonderful. He simply lopped them apart as they came running at him in an almost single file fashion. It really was all just effortless work and even with his bad hand he found it to be easy. Though he continued walking until he reached the lobby. "Well fuck." The lobby was crawling with the things. There were probably fifteen of them and they all glared at Richard with ravenous eyes. Even more wonderful. He sighed and sent out a massive wave of hellfire mist that blanketed roughly ten of them, causing them to burst into flames and disintegrate. The remaining five continued to assault Richard though they were smarter than the others. He stood there as they circled him. Richard sliced through two of them as they advanced him, because despite their tactics they were still asynchronous. With that done he threw blade at the one who was now second farthest away from him and punched with flaming fists the other two. With that done he grabbed his blade and just sat down.
19 Brandon watched as the fighting continued to take place. Despite all his ignite serves, they still kept coming back for more. Also they were starting to turn their attention to him, which caused him stop serving. That technique only really worked on an enemy when they weren't in your face and in great numbers. With five or so of the zombies chasing him he started running away as fast humanly/angely possible. He knew that he wouldn't be able to outrun them so he did the next best thing. Try to get into a place that he could benefit from. He started running down the hall when suddenly two more tried to cut him off. As such Brandon simply bust down a door to a vacant room, and jumped in there. Unfortunately for the zombies they had to funnel through the doorway before they could reach their meal. Brandon was able to use this to his advantage and used his Ignite Serve on three more of them, until they stopped trying to go through the door. Then they started breaking down the walls and Brandon quickly switched up his attack strategy to lightning swording the s out of them. He managed to slice two of them before they made it through the walls they made and was forced to fight the other two head on. They just bull charged though, so Brandon was able to dodge one and the other in half in the middle of the dodge. With one left Brandon just threw his sword, impaling the zombie, before pulling it out and going on his merry way.
16 Richard continued to fight against these possessed with his hellfire mist flame condensation technique their numbers continued to dwindle as he noticed what appeared to be an electrified tennis ball speeding into these possessed. Well that was certainly different. Richard's attention turned to three possessed charging him at once and as such he went back to igniting his saber with white hellfire. One of them had sped past the other two and dove forwards at Richard. He parried the possessed's head with his hellfire blade, causing it to die and go flying backwards. With the two others charging they made it to him at the same time. They looked poised to attack, and seeing as Richard had just done his, he did what any fencer would do after losing the attack. He quickly retreated backwards avoiding the possessed's attacks. Doing this made them miss their attacks which prompted Richard to lunge at it. With the lunge he impaled the possessed and had the other one poised to attack him. He simply made a wave of mist shoot from his body and push the possessed back. Once covered in the mist Richard ignited it leaving the possessed to burn away.
16 Brandon was busy taking all dem zombie freaks out with his lightning sword, Vis Vis, alongside his two newcomer friends. Well, alongside wasn't quite the right word, but they were fighting and he was fighting and it was all great fun. As he slew the last one that was engaging him he heard a loud banging noise resound through the area. He yelped at the noise and just stood there, trying to regain his hearing. When it finally came back he noticed more of the zombies coming towards him. That wasn't all that good at all. He needed to wreck them out of here so that all the others wouldn't get hurt with this advance of zombies. He was about to charge in when noticed one of the newcomers erupting some of them into white fire stuff. While it looked awesome, Brandon thought to himself that it probably was likely to get him killed if he charged recklessly in there. So instead he got creative with range play. Using raw lightning bolts would probably be a bit training for the boy so he went to try out his new technique. Transforming Vis Vis back into a wrist band, Brandon pulled his tennis ball out of his pocket and drew his Tennis Racket. He charged the tennis ball up negative and threw it in front of him. Then he charged his angel racket with positive and it caused the ball to be drawn to the racket. Brandon then swung at the ball as it was returning, swapping the rackets charge to negative upon impact. With this he performed his Ignite Serve, a serve that causes the ball to fly forward at an outstanding velocity. With it bashing into a skull of a zombie, Brandon changed the charge on his racket back to positive and pulled the ball back to him, repeating the process on more zombies.
16 Richard looked back to see that more of the possessed ones were coming at them. Great. Under normal circumstances...Richard wouldn't even be fighting them but regardless of that under normal circumstances Richard would be able to lop them with much greater ease, if not for the fact that his right hand was burned. He did feel it getting better an abnormally fast rate, but it still wasn't good enough to have it repaired over the span of two days. As such his fighting was crippled and he was forced to use El-Harriss in his left hand instead. It just made fighting these undead freaks harder. Thankfully he still had use of his flames which could compensate for it but in the case of unrelenting numbers it probably wouldn't end well. Not to mention his ears were ringing a bit from whatever the hell just happened earlier. Regardless with his ignited blade he was about to fight the next wave when suddenly a voice rang in his head. 'Yo, it's not all black and white with these powers. Try thinking of something better with your flames if you didn't have sword to coat in flames.' Richard was slightly intrigued by this statement. A way to use these flames differently other than just coating his sword. That was when an idea came to Richard on how to effectively deal with this swarm. He rushed in and turned his flame into mist. Firing off a massive wave of mist at the zombies, it blanketed a good number and then Richard struck. He condescend and converted his white mist into flames causing the unfortunate zombies to burst into white hellfire.
Evan Allen Walker: {~~~Day 13(1/4)~~~January 2nd, 2016, Saturday~~~Location: Evan's Place/Funeral~~~Mood: Funeral Time~~~Music~~~Ooc:~~~} Evan woke up today ready to try and get this day over with. He had been informed that today was the day that the holding of the funeral for Sophie, Bryan, and Lucas was taking place. He didn't exactly have the largest of desires to go to a ceremony that commemorates the dead, since he was all about living, but he still felt morally obligated to, them being Fortissimo kids an all. So, no matter how reluctant he may be, Evan got out of bed to get ready for a good day of dead people parties. Evan wasn't usually one to care about what people thought of his attire but after an incident where people started severely disliking him for showing up to one in tie-dye, he would have to make an effort to at least try and look official for the event. As such he hopped into the shower and actually used a comb to fix his hair afterwards. Getting out his black dress shirt and black dress pants, he sighed as he saw himself in the mirror. He hated black. It was such a simple an unvibrant color that only looked good with white, which only looked good with black. Part of him thought of just ditching this whole thing and trying to hang with his one of his buds or something, but they would all probably be going as well, so maybe after the whole funeral thing he'd try. Another thing he was curious about was the status of Cherry Red and Little Vixen. He hadn't been able to keep as much tabs on it as he would've liked to what with helping Ria out, but he still didn't mind that entire situation going down. Now that she was better he could probably try and find out more on that little scenario. Picking up his phone he simply texted Really he didn't think he'd get much more than a slightly annoyed retort from her, but it was all he'd do for now. Later he might do more but for now he had another important task to attend to. That all important task was to get someone out of their bed and dragging them to the funeral, simply because he most of all would need to come to terms with this. Evan, while not always being in a serious mood, did had a neutral expression on his face as he drove along the road, surprisingly not like some deranged man. This was one of those those times where whilst driving he lamented over how much it displeased him. The gas was nothing but awful smelling, the air in the car was all filtered, he was always looking out a lense of sorts, and the wheels weren't planted to his feet. While probably one of the more convenient creations of humankind, Evan still thought it was one of the worst. Regardless of his own complaints against the machine he was using he eventually made it to his destination. Evan walked out of the car and went up the stairs to the apartment door. Knocking on it he waited for a few minutes with nothing but silence to keep him company. He figured this would happen. Good thing he had a key to this place. Evan unlocked the door and walked in to see his Little Baker Bro just sitting on the computer. "Yo. Little Baker Bro, it's time we go. I know you know what today is." He continued to sit there doing not much at all until he slowly turned his head to show Evan his terrified visage. "I don't want to, now go." Evan sighed and said to him, "yo, Dennis, you got to go to this thing. It's the only way you'll ever be able to get out of this room and get on with your life is you do this. So come on, I ain't taking no for an answer."Reluctantly Little Baker Bro eventually got out of his seat and continued to stare at Evan, at which point Evan gave a reassuring smile. After that was done with and Little Baker Bro got dressed in an event worthy attire the two went back to the car and went on their way to the funeral. Eventually the two got there and took a seat in a back.
