"SORRY SIR! WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN! Just an impulse!" Raxtion stated as he came to attention "There's been a lot of firing today sir, I just get a little shaky when I see the shadow of a cloud or something..."
Fardel grabbed his sword. It was all he came with all he needed. He knew this blade would shed blood. But when he took it, he never thought it would shed blood on the emperor's behalf... More like shedding blood in the emperor's behalf.
"And where are we going to get this map?" asked Fardel, curious as to where she was taking them.
Fardel didn't say anything, just simply watched as the events unfolded. He then gave a half smile as he looked towards Alisha. "Well, then... Shall we proceed?"
Oh, so if you don't have fun... you'll leave?
"It's always my pleasure to serve as entertianment, if nothing else, sir." said Fardel with a subtle anger in his tone.
... It's okay, I see how it is. I understand... Hatin' on Ansem... it's okay, everybody does it!! Jk, anyway. So, your back? For how long?
*Preforms the hiemleich* Can I help you? Where have you been all this time!
"Well, I just hope that we get some real food. I don't think I would survive a battle on squirrel... Even if it were a disease free one..." said Fardel Fardel turned his head to Storm "Really? I don't think I've ever heard that saying before. Although, I never really got out my village much. By the way, you two know enough about me, yet I know nothing about either of you... Where did you guys come from? And how did you get wrapped up in all of this?"
Music Fardel looked at Michelo and said "Really? I've gone days without eating food before, and here you are complaining that we haven't eaten anyth-" However, before he finished his sentance, his stomach also began growling. "... Well, eating actually doesn't sound like a bad idea."
"Emperor!" Outcried Fardel "Listen, I know my actions now do not dismiss my actions from before... but... I would like to ask you for forgiveness. I am sorry about what happened earlier. I don't want your trust or anything else but your forgiveness."
Fardel entered the throne room first, with the other two behind him, and simply stared at the emperor. He honestly didn't know what to say first... 'Sorry for attacking you' or 'I would like to join your army'
HAHAHAHA! Oh man, I used to be just like you. My mom used to do the same stuff. Listen to me very carefully. When I was 17 my mom put all kinds of restrictions on me, mostly like yours. But she was paying the bills, so I did what she said. Now, I want you to understand something that I didn't. When you turn 18, you may think your free to do whatever you want, but that won't be true. If your still living under her roof, then you still have to follow her rules also mothers have a hard time accepting that their "baby" is growing up. But if you take it slow and take one freedom at a time, she will slowly accept that your growing up. And about the whole moving out thing, please take this advice: you don't want to leave her! She is paying for your bills. You want her to do that! You get a job and save up for college. You'll save ten times faster if your not paying the water or electric bills. Believe me, man, one day, she won't be able to boss you. But don't be dumb about it. If there's one thing I've learned about MY mom, is that I have to keep her happy so that one day I can move out! But it takes time and patience, and don't you forget that. You have to believe me, it's the best way. Oh, and as you grow up (You definently won't believe this.) you may grow up to like your mother. I used to hate her guts! We still have arguments from time to time, but I actually like to talk to her every once in a while.
I usually don't have dreams anymore, but I used to. I remember I had this one dream in which was walking down this street, then I was walking down in the sewers, and then there was this room that I went into, down in the sewers.... and for some reason it was filled with christmas decorations (No idea why)... And in the room there was some sort of evil presence. Like a monster of some kind. And in the room I had walked into the back corner of it. And I could see the monsters red eye's glaring at me. However, almost like a narrator, I literally heard my voice say: "It's not going to happen this way" and I literally rewound myself until I was outside of the room and in the sewers again with the monster growling within the enclosed room. That's the only time I know of where I had control of my dream. (This was years ago, by the way.)
Fardel nodded and followed Michelo. He stopped and looked back at Storm, then made a hand motion to tell Storm to follow. It seemed that all three of them would be joining up today, but would it be enough?
Fardel got fairly mad with Michelo's narrow view of the world. "I'll tell you one thing that is worse, is dieing and your death being in vain! It's not about the meaning of your death. It's about being smart with your choices to get the best possible outcome. I thought you would have learned that from my mistake in taking on the emperor! I thought that I could beat him, and kill him, I never once thought what would come out of it besides my own selfish gratification in his death. And here you are ready to jump blindly into battle, when there might be other places in which you could be useful. And, most importantly, don't you dare mistake my hesitation as cowardice..." Fardel noted the boys' loyalty towards himself and the others and decided it was best to follow his advice. "Alright, then. Let's go to the emperor."
Fardel looked at Michelo. "Listen, you." said Fardel as he had forgotten Michelo's name in all the excitement. "If you join up, then I'm not letting you do it alone. I hope you'll forgive me if I'm not the type to just let good men die."
"Well, my friend..." said Fardel to Michelo "You are much more optimistic about our odds than I am. You believe that we would actually stand a chance against the dark seekers? I don't think that I could! Maybe if I faced only one, I could beat it. But dark seekers are known for being in groups. And even though the military is large, it still hasn't coped well with these enemies."
"It's a little late in the war to be going into the military, don't you think?" asked Fardel "Unless the emperor's got some cards up his sleeve." "I've already punished those who were directly associated with the attack on my family. They are dead. Probably more so than before due to the dark seekers..." said Fardel as he seriously contemplated the thought of joining the military. It seemed like a suicide mission to Fardel... Join the army now? When the dark seekers had already proven to be far superior to the emperor's military? The dark seekers had gained so much ground over so little of time... that Fardel thought the odds would be... Fardel didn't even want to think of the odds. The thought would be too painful. But he had to know if there was still a chance. Something the emperor was hiding, perphaps?
Fardel could see that Storm only wanted to help and smiled back. "No, I was foolish. I thought I could win. But he proved to be far superior to me. I won't be doing anything like that again." Fardel looked at Storm and then to Michelo "The reason I wanted to kill the emperor was because of... My family. My wife and daughter were raped and killed by his gaurds..." Tears swelled up in Fardel's eye's but he tried to keep them hidden by shutting his eye lids. "They recieved no punishment for their actions. I suppose it was an incident that was unrelated to the emperor seeing as how he probably never knew about it. But it still felt like he had somehow done this to me." Fardel walked past them both "But now it's clear that I don't need to get my vengance on him. And at this moment, I have nothing to do... and nowhere to go..."
