I haven't read any American comics in at least half a year now, due to the unavailability thereof given my current whereabouts. I must confess that Livin' the DC Free Lajf is remarkably beneficial to my overall health, insofar as I am not longer stressing over continuity or poor characterisation or consistency or whatnot.

Matthew Garber (Michael Banks from Mary Poppins) contracted hepatitis during a stay in India, which culminated in his death at the tender age of twenty one. It was revealed via cast interviews that Karen Dotrice (Jane Banks) regretted that she never kept in touch with him prior to the trip.

I thought it was rather wasteful on their part, for he was very talented acne aside. He had quite the extensive filmography during the 40s-50s. I forgot to add that he was buried in a pauper's grave, to add insult to injury... in Potter's Field, no less. His family wasn't privy to his death till his mother requested the execs at Disney search for him, at his father's request-- he was on his death bed then-- and only then did they realise that the pauper who had died a year before was him.

Bobby Driscoll (voice actor of Peter Pan) died in an abandoned tenement building of heart failure brought about by his long-term drug abuse. He was thirty one then. At the age of sixteen, he was fired for having acne and thereby not measuring up to what Disney considered the 'poster boy' child.

Yes. Aria Curzon voiced Ducky afterwards, I believe.

Judith Barsi (voices actress of Ducky) was shot in the head by her own father, who also offed the girl's mother and himself in a double murder-suicide. She was ten years old. The Land Before Time was released posthumously.

The 'child' on the right appears a woman to me, therefore it is possible that the man in the middle is simply their eldest son. It is too difficult to discern familial relations based on cartoon features. No brownie points.

LAIKA will always be my preferred "not Disney" of choice.

I've read a fair bit of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes, but I've yet to dip into any of the numerous adaptions based from them. I do intend to watch Granada Holmes at some point, for Jeremy Brett's practice of enforced method acting simultaneously fascinates and awes me.

Moffat's writing has garnered a whole lot of criticism, primarily concerning his supposed maltreatment of women and the general lack of racial diversity in whatever he writes. Any truth to these criticisms?

Former impressions, as well as current.
Do you have a favorite actor/actress, and if so who are they and why do you like them?
How many accents can you imitate with any degree of accuracy and what are they?
Have you ever seen a live ventriloquist act?
    Favorite/Least favorite Disney princess?
    Favorite COLOUR?

The funny thing is, I can sing but I cannot whistle.

Come to think of it, I can't snap my fingers either. My inability to whistle bothers me more, however.

Yes, I am familiar with Hunter x Hunter. I watched the 1999 anime, and am caught up with the manga (and currently waiting for the latest hiatus to end).

If Kishimoto ripped Togashi off, it doesn't matter much; Togashi's characters are far better fleshed out. Execution matters. Case in point: Although Kurapika shares Sasuke's Last Of His Kind backstory, vengeance on the Genei Ryodan-- whilst undoubtedly very important to Kurapika-- does not become his defining characteristic thereon, insofar as it doesn't dominate over preexisting values he once possessed such as loyalty and his esteem for dear friends. I am not in the habit of reading/watching Naruto, but I'm quite sure Sasuke threw dignity and all else out for a shot at revenge. He's weak and not at all an empathetic character, not like 'pika.

No, no pdfs. I suppose I will have to run a search on the entire house, hope no one threw it out thinking it merely a raggedy old book. The one we ordered was used.
