I'm 15 now and my birthday in not until march. My mom is ALREADY planing my "Sweet 16" and wants to do a whole bunch of useless crap, one of them including renting out the fire hall to have a giant party. Now, I've never been too keen on having big and extravagant birthday parties. Never have I had more than 3 or 4 people to a party since I was 8 and most people, besides those who I invite, ever even know it's my birthday. Now I know it's supposed to be a big deal that I'm turning 16, but I don't want it to be. If I had my way, it would be like any other birthday I've had for the last 8 years. My mom, of course, doesn't really care what I want and is still pushing and pushing to make it a giant fiasco. Should I just give in and let it be huge because it is my 16th, or try to make it normal like the rest? What do you think?
I hate it when people call you things just because how you dress. They used to call me Emo in Middle school because I wore lots of black. It was beyond irritating. Now people call be a prep because I don't wear a lot of black anymore and I have blonde hair. Wtf?
