When writing as children, I try to see the world as open minded as I can. (depending on how the kid was raised) I don't make them stupid, but I do tend to write them with a more curious vernacular. Unafraid to ask questions, and at the same time feeling like they know enough (At least against adults) I also let things affect them more. Make them question themselves or whatever just happened. Because like I said, they're curious.
Out of the 2000-2009 CGI films from Disney, (Meet the Robinsons, Chicken Little, Bolt, Dinosaur) Meet the Robinsons is in fact the one with the most heart in my opinion. The film is all over the place, but I'll get to that in a sec. Like you said, it's a really upbeat, light-heaerted film. Looking at the poster alone, it just explodes with color. I wasn't too fond of the character designs, but I got used to it I guess as the film continues. But the redeemable thing about the entire film is definitely the theme it tries to convey. (Which I guess counts as a spoiler so I won't mention it) The main character; Lewis, reminded me of an animated Johnathan Lipnicki (In his younger years) Not really that much about this character aside from the lesson he learns and the amazing things he sees. Yeah he's a growing orphan who's timid, nice, and inventive, so it's really easy to sympathize what he goes through, and I think that's okay here. The character is developed enough to warrant emotion as well as relate to what the message is. The other main kid; Wilbur, is like that cool kid in your grade school class that always gets in to trouble. Not all that much to get into, but he does spark the adventure, so he does his job. The robinsons themselves are definitely an odd bunch. But the thing with introducing them all in one flash is that nothing gets to sink in. Everything is just scene after scene after scene after scene. No breathing room and no pace. Which AGAIN, might be okay here. The family is clearly nuts and eccentric, so it would be normal for them to get all crazy and non-stop, like a roller coaster ride. I do, however think they accept Lewis far too quickly after just a day. At the same time, it is a bit overbearing when they all wig out on screen. The villain is... well, he's incompetent enough to get a laugh, and it's really easy to follow this guy. He always need help and his plans more often then not fail in the pursuit of his endgame. So in short, while I do like that it had it's heart in the right place, you don't really get to enjoy it until the end. It is exactly like a roller coaster. Starts slow and builds up, then just goes crazy fast until it slows down and allows you to take everything in. It's a nice film and all, but I wouldn't put myself through watching it again. My favorite parts lie in the end where things goes full circle.
Weirdos and gamers of the forums; I come to you with a chance to show off your useless Kingdom Hearts knowledge! (I only say useless because it has no adaptable usefulness outside the series itself.. yet) What is the Trivia Tournament? The Trivia tournament is a special event, where site members face off one another to compete for a special prize. Entrants will be tested on their Kingdom Hearts Trivia knowledge. Many of the details can be listed from last year's thread , but the fun has been double in terms of format and trivia. New improvements have been made since then including a live soundtrack, custom buzzers, and a host that will bait and crush your spirits! How will it work? Contenders will compete by answering Short answer and multiple choice answer questions. Short answer going to the fastest buzzer, and multiple choice to individual players. Each game will consist of 3 players with 25 questions total. The task is simple; Get the most points in the game to guarantee a spot in the next round. Each game leading up to the final round will follow a typical routine. ➨ Introduction A small introduction to each of the players with some small chatter to help liven things up. ➨ Speed Round Players will compete in a reflex face off, where the faster finger gets to answer first. Each correct answer will give the player 1 point. There are only 10 questions with 10 seconds to answer. ➨ Intermission A small break for players to relax and brace themselves for the more difficult questions. ➨ Multiple Choice This is where the difficulty rises. Each player will be asked 5 multiple choice questions in a rotating order. (Starting first with the player in last place) Choosing from four possible answers, the player must answer within 15 seconds. If they take too long, or their answer is incorrect, the question can be passed to another player, who will then gain 1 point if answered correctly. Last year we had a total of 9 contestants, and we're hoping to do better this year! I'm willing to up the prize ante depending on the amount of people who enter. How do I sign-up? Simple, filling out the form below, you can reserve a spot among the others who have chosen to participate. (Hurry fast! Sign ups end on June 13th!) For Birth by sleep, yes it would be lovely to hear a remastered soundtrack because the new tracks were only heard through PSP quality audio. Granted I'm sure it sounds better if reserved outside the PSP codecs, but when you look at something like Vector to the Heaven on the DS, you think; "Wow, this is a really great track." And then you hear it on the PS3, remaster and all, and think; "Wow, I can hear every instrument and so much more quality outside the confines of the portable system. It sounds so much more amazing now."
Wart grasped the hilt of the sword with such a surprised expression. He looked above as a glimmer of light dawned on him from the dark clouds. As just a young boy, he found it odd that it only happened when his hands were on the sword. His heart was racing as he didn't know what to do. what would happen if he pulled the sword? He knew it was there for a while, but no one had ever actually removed it from the stone. He didnt know what consequences would happen, but the purple armored woman looked onto him with intrigue, making him even more uneasy. "Well, well, the champion reveals himself... Now go on and just bring the sword to me," she held out her hand in the most gentle way, as if she were a mother offering her hand to her child. Wart was too unnerved to think rationally. All he knew was that she put away too high caliber mages with just a simple spell. Without even thinking, he pulled his hand away from the stone, with his han still grasping the sword. Far back enough that he ended up sliding the blade out without any effort for the tip of the blade to hit the ground. He wasn't fully strong enough to lift it with more ease. The light that shone down on him before shined bright as the new and future king had pulled the sword. Wart was too afraid to notice though. He simply tried to lift the heavy sword in Nequa's direction to show that he was armed. "Well that's embarrassing," Gilgamesh grunted from his fallen backside. Merlin looked in astonishment. "By jove... and here I am, almost having doubts." As a seer of the future, Merlin could foretell many things, but the boy pulling out the sword was a surprise event o his experienced eyes. Mizu was still sleeping, but fluttered her eyes slightly from the sense of wonder that had just happened. Nequa attempted to step forward to Wart, but was cut off by Goofy who held his righteous shield in front of the boy. "Well you wouldn't be heroes if you didn't try to stop me..." she summoned a keyblade and twirled it around. "Get out your timers boys! I want to see how fast I can do this!" MISSION START! Good to hear he returns for the role he was born to voice. Just wouldn't be the same without his parrot voice going "JAFAH!" I do hope others make their returns as well for an extra bit of dialogue 2.5 adds. News for the collection has been pretty slow lately, but it's great to see it pick up.
I'm kind of saddened on how it will derive from the original comic, but Disney's about heart, so hopefully it will have plenty of payoff. Baymax (White fluffy thing) looks damn adorable. Like a marshmallow. Hiro looks all disneyfied, but I'm glad they kept his racial descent along with the main premise. (Kind of wanted to see him with his glasses) Looking forward to future trailers.
Noting that the heartless was now ignoring all damage, Krowley decided to help his friends go on the defensive. A quick point towards Karina, he let loose an aero spell. "Defense!" wind sprouted in a spherical shape around the girl, halving any future damage to her thanks to the aerora spell. From what he could tell, the battle was nearly sixty percent over with, meaning they only had to hang in a little longer.
The film "Never Been Kissed" just popped into my head right now. Who knows, maybe she just wanted to relive the experience.
Krowley pointed forward and let loose another fireball to add to Mushu's flaming offensive. "Fire!" The fireball fired forward and hit the monster smack dab under his right glowing eye. Surely that would have been able to pile on some damage. Funny little match to his previous attack on the monster's left. The creature was weakening, and there wasn't many fancy attacks he wanted to portray during the battle. Everyone was strong enough to take the menace down, but he was just pleased to add his fair share.
Common answers included; Wall-E and/or Eve from "Wall-E" Maximus from "Tangled" Tinkerbell from "Peter Pan" Genie from "Aladdin" Lightning McQueen from "Cars" Bahamut from the Final Fantasy franchise
Krowley nodded to Eon in thanks for the heal. With new rejuvenation and his allies in prime health, he pointed forward with the original intention of offensive spells. He pointed forward and let loose another fireball to add to Mushu's flaming offensive. "Fire!" The fireball fired forward and hit the monster smack dab under his left glowing eye. Surely that would have been able to pile on some damage.
They had brought down the meddlesome machine down to nearly half it's health now! And after Karina's summoning, he could tell she was somehow... slower. Just that minor notice of inflicted injury. Nothing too harsh, but could become a problem if not healed quickly. He held out his blade pointed to Karina. "Heal!" he cried out, casting a cure spell. His allies were more than doing enough damage, that the least he could do was make sure they were well defended. Though not on a mystic path, he believed in being able to support party members with both magical and defensive means. ----------------------------------------------------- Gilgamesh was on his last knee, keeping himself balanced by one of his imitation swords. Beaten down by effortlessly by Nequa, who towered over him. Behind her, sat the two magical detaining fields of magic that kept in Merlin and a sleeping Mizu. He was trying to catch his breath from their heavy battle. "I (gasp) don't remember you being that (gasp) weak..." he exasperated. Nequa stood, bored with her wrists over her keyblade, which was perched like stock, behind her neck. "Hmm... maybe I'm just slacking? After all, it took me two more seconds to beat the golems then anticipated," she chuckled, looking towards the piles of snow. Mizu's once strong golem bodyguards were now reduced to slush. "But hey, it's still not bad for a kid her age!" Gilgamesh chuckled back. "How much longer do you think you can keep that act up?" "I never was much of an actress I suppose... but I manage with what's given," Nequa replied, lowering her blade off her shoulders. "But only as long as I need to... You won't tell me widdle secwit, will you?" she asked sweetly. "Hehe, course not," he held his side in pain. "That would be ruining the game's story..." "Will never understand what you mean by that," she said, kicking his face over. Gilgamesh fell, and was too exhausted to regain balance. Too much exposure outside the void had affected his body in an odd way. He wasn't meant to be in this world, and it was slowly taking it's toll on him. Nequa was preparing to make her way over to a cowering Wart, who gulped as she approached him. "Don't worry lad!" Merlin tried to comfort. "I'll have my way out of this in a jiff!" The old wizard was trying to cast spells against the field, but all his rhymes were just making it change from purple, to blue, and back again. "Oh save it... I've still got some minutes on that spell timer. Long enough to get what I came for..." She was prepared to interrogate something out of him, but was distracted by the running feat of the party, making their way onto the scene. "Aaaaaand of course, I can't rely on anyone else to cut me some slack."
"Don't worry. I'm sure your admirer over there would love to have you keep him warm at night." Lex slowly turned to his left and right to see if he was talking about anyone else. He felt stupid in knowing he was the one being referred to, but part of him didn't want to give him that satisfaction. Not to mention being able to burst into flames provided plenty of warmth anyways. The very thought seemed to be weirding the poor Sam out anyways and would best be left as the insulting, passerby comment it was. Not like he expected anything less from Aiden. His partner from yesterday's exercise, he really let him down by causing a spontaneous and unacceptable fight to commence. It was something he continued to regret, but as Lex's mindset worked; it was in the past, and nothing he could say, do, or reason with could change that. Being with an N-Class student should have made that class easy for him, but instead he not only let him down, but the entire class. We were all hormonal, angsty, scared piles of students, so no matter how much it was needed for some to let out steam, he just wished it wasn't him who sparked it. Upon that remark, he saw another student from their class approach them. He couldn't recall his classification, but he was almost sure it was either A or T class. His eyes always looked a little off from the regular shine in people's eyes. His ability was some sort of foreign implant that replaced his eyes, giving them an eerie atmosphere about them. Noticing he was covering the note, Lex took a step to the door, pulled off the paper and gave it to the boy silently. He would piece together the stuff himself, and it's not like Lex was ever really keen on conversation. It did make him look unfriendly and a bit of a dick, but hey, it's not like he cared much about what people thought. To care, you would have to have people to care about and care about you in return... The note he pullled off was covering the door's small window, where a few students were already sitting inside. Did they not read the note? Well crap, he would have to talk to more people again... Unless? He turned to Sam and tapped him on the shoulder before pointing inside the classroom. The guy seemed relaxed enough to just let people know what's up. Anything to do the right thing while preventing to talk to others was a win in his book.
A site called KH-vids.net Caused many to laugh and regret Don't try and deny It isn't a lie one day, we will all just forget
There once was a mouse named Mickey Who ordered a search for a key And with plenty of luck And a dog and a duck, they found it with some one naive
I don't mind Black Parade. In fact, just the instrumental alone kind of reminds me of something that would fit with the full theme of an anime opening.
Karina had been performing many formidable attacks, making the battle move a lot more quicker. The entire group, in fact, had an excellent balance of strength, magic , and defense. Before he was set to cast another spell, Krowley noticed that Karina's aerial slam had ceased performing anymore damage. She must have hit the Health mark, where the heartless makes it's desperation move. Most higher level heartless have the system where the more they are at risk of defeat,t he more powerful their attacks become. Fearing for one of his allies, he pointed his keyblade with dead aim at Base and yelled out; "Aerora!" This caused a cascade of wind to surround the mystic and increase his defense for an extra turn of the basic aero spell.
Unsure if it's related, but I notice I can't access the "Who's replied" add-on
