~~Reaper Excavation Site - Battle against the DAMON~~ BGM: DAMON As the battle with the Dimensional Beasts continued, it seemed as though the creatures were slowly gaining the upper hand, if only through numbers alone. Individually, the bull-class DAMON were no threat at all, but with how many of them there were, with no sign of stopping their onslaught soon, things most definitely did not look good. "Allelujah, another one behind you!" Quattro called from the cockpit of the Hyakku Shiki, which had taken off with Stern and Puru Two still inside in order to defend against the attackers while still getting the girl the attention she needs. The Meister acknowledged the information and swerved around in mid-air, ending up upside-down facing the oncoming DAMON's jaws, firing his rifle just in time to smash the creature's head open with the gunfire, resulting in the same disappearance as the others suffered when the beast was slain. "These creatures appear to vanish into a distortion when killed." Stern noted, looking up from her patient for a moment. "That would imply that they are somehow related to how we all arrived here." "What?! Then we need to work out what these things are exactly!" Dearche responded, blasting on of the creatures out of the sky as it leaped at her. "There's no time for that now. We have to focus on survival. There's another wave coming in, be prepared!" "Oh man, this is so much fun!" Levi hollered over the noise. "These things are awesome! Can we keep one, Dearche?! Can we?!" "Sure, catch one and we'll make it a damn kennel." Dearche muttered sarcastically, readying Yersinia Kreuz for the second oncoming wave of beasts. <Unknown signature approaching.> the main screen of the Arios Gundam suddenly read, showing a blip on the radar that clearly wasn't another Dimensional Beast. And then another. And more behind that. It was a small squadron, nine units heading towards them on an intercept trajectory. Spoiler: music "Trowa, Heero, take the right flank. Duo, Chang, take the left. Aquarion team, provide covering fire for me and Quatre; we're going in through their centre." "Gotcha!" With that exchange, the units entered the battlefield weapons ready, firing upon the Dimensional Beasts with their weapons, destroying at least a dozen of them in a single run. Leading the attack was a humanoid mecha very familiar in design; most definitely an advanced Gundam of some kind. It was followed closely by a second, less advanced model, which nonetheless looked rather durable "That voice..." Quattro said out loud, taking a step towards the event. "I recognise it..." "Who?" "...that's Amuro Ray. The first ever pilot of Gundam. With his reinforcements, we may just have a shot at surviving this now. His allies, however... those I don't recognise one bit. All of those Mobile Suits are Gundams, but designs I've never seen before. The three fighters I've definitely never seen before; I have no idea what they are at all." Spoiler: ENTER ~~Haven City~~ Silver wrapped his arms around Leaf in response to her glomp, a rare display of genuine affection for somebody from him. "Things happened in Johto. Gold can tell you more about it than I can." he answered her, before looking over to the girl that she had asked about. "Lyra Kotone. One of Gold's friends from New Bark Town. We met by chance in this place, and she refused to leave once she found out who I am." He then looked over to the distraught girl, Crystal, who seemed as though she would be taking the whole thing pretty hard. Recognising her, and remembering what she did for him once, he sighed, figuring he owed her one. "Leaf, I'm gonna go talk to Crys. I think I can snap her out of it." he said simply, breaking the hug gently. A minute later, Silver entered Crys's room, dragging Crys behind him, looking over at Yellow, who was understandably confused about his sudden unannounced entrance, and gave her a gentle nod, acknowledging the girl as his friend, and asking her to give them a little privacy for a moment. "Crys." he spoke, approaching her. "You screwed up, but you know you did. You're already doing damn better than I did when I stole Feraligatr as a Totodile. It took me getting my ass handed to me by Gold. Lyra's taken care of that part for you already, so now's the part where you get up and go over to Gold, apologize, and do what you can to make up for it when you can, got it?" He sighed, sitting on the end of her bed. "Look, I'm no good at the pep talk shit. I'm good at screwing things up, and beating the crap out of Rockets. Do what you can now, figure out the rest of it on your own later, but right now we all need to pull together if we're gonna get anything done." Lyra went over to Gold at Lance's suggestion, with her Bayleef still by her side, and crouched next to him, looking him in the eye. "Gold?" she asked him quietly, testing him. "It's Lyra. No need to panic about me, okay?" She sat herself beside him and placed her hand on his shoulder, eliciting a slight twitch from the boy as he tried to jerk away. "Hey, calm down." she said, before remembering how they always used to sit at the riverbank of New Bark Town years ago. Resting her head on Gold's shoulder instead of her hand, she continued to just sit there with him for a moment, ignoring everything else, and returning them both to a more pleasant memory, of home.
