Sal merely sat back and watched the scene unfold. While he was not the first one in the boat he saw mostly everyone else just pile in to the boat. When they had all allegedly arrived on the gondola he watched the flood worsen and worsen. He was positive that the flood was only going to get worse and as everyone was reiterating they truly needed to get themselves out of this storm. In the end the gang took there odd duo of gondola until they ended up in another Italian town known as Padua. Once there the rain had let up on them, for the most part, and they comically lowered down onto the street where the group sat there. Once there they simply walked out of the gondola and all piled into a hotel to take refuge for a while. Sal looked around to the group and something seemed...off about it. Oh well. "So, call it a hunch, but I'm going to assume that this is what happens when we stay in an area for too long. Anyway," he was still speaking rather calmly, "what do you all usually do next? I mean like, when it comes to choosing a location to go to?" Then he realized why the group looked off. "Did anyone notice Hay Sun at all?" It'd be rather bad if the fiery Asian girl was killed in the flood.
8, 7 Sal seeing a man who Zachariel referred to as Raphael, Angel of Healing, now thought that they were all saved. Woo~ As such Sal made his way back upstairs to inform everyone who was up and about that no plan of action was necessary and that they were all saved by an Italian angel with a pair of gondolas. A sentence that sounded a bit weird, but was true nonetheless. After informing the people upstairs he simply made his way back downstairs and started his way back to the gondola. Once on board he merely waited and watched for everyone else. Richard ended up staying a tad longer, knocking on all the doors he could trying to get people out of there. Once he had done all he really could he left to go downstairs and be saved by the gondola man. He recognized the man as the Italian chef they had met the first day in Italy and never saw again. Well he certainly had convenient timing. Getting in the boat he simply sat down waiting for everyone else....because he could not actually force any one on board in the counter situation....fucking counters.
13Sal awoke to the sound of something different. It was the sound of a boy shouting to everyone in the entire hotel to get up and get out. Opening the door, still garbed in his pajamas and night cap that he had put on for the night, and saw that an oddly familiar looking kid was shouting. He was certain that he had seen him somewhere before, but just couldn't put his finger on it. It was then that Zachariel informed him that the person who he was looking at was the Infamous Rebellion Semyaza. That was it, he was there with the others at the restaurant on the night he had found out about Zachariel. Calmly walking out of his room, he smiled to the boy. "Good effort on trying to wake everyone up and alert them to this terror. Anyway, I'm going to go wait outside while you guys get to formulating a game plan or something to get yourselves, and hopefully me too, out of this mess." He waved to the boy and calmly walked amidst all the chaos of the hotel goers and simply stood at the door of the hotel waiting for everyone else.[DOUBLEPOST=1382211857][/DOUBLEPOST] 12Richard woke up to the sounds of terror passing by. He opened his eyes to note that he had fallen asleep in a hotel lobby chair. Whoops. Regardless of that small little detail he looked around and saw that people were running in fear of something. Getting out of his chair he walked around until he was outside and noticed a massive torrential downpour and the city starting to show signs of a possible city wrecking flood. What a bother this was going to be. He sighed as he heard a voice come from behind him. "Good morning." Richard turned around to see one of the recent additions to this group standing there...smiling like he gave no fucks whatsoever. "Now now, you better go help the boy up there out, or things could go really sour really fast. I'll just be here awaiting your group's collective collaborative decision until then." What an ass. Reluctantly Richard walked away from the man and made his way upstairs past the panicking people. He saw Adam trying to shout at the doors to get everybody up and awake and away from the danger of the flood. "Yo." Richard waved good morning to the kid. "I'll help get them up for a sec." With that, Richard simply hit the doors of the hotel room with considerable force, though not enough to damage the doors. After that was done with he walked back to wait for the response of the people in the rooms. The entire gang needed to find some way to some sort of safety boat, probably through Leo most likely. Though he was feeling like something was missing. Or rather someone. Then it hit him like a whale to a school of krill. "Oh yeah, we also have to leave and get that Vincent guy who we met at the restaurant and then never saw again."
6Brandon smiled as he saw the reply from Xana. It was good to know his message had gotten across, and he certainly wouldn't just let the group down. No! He would continue to update them of their progress...that is when they actually made some. Brandon actually hadn't even seen Heinry for the entire day, and as such was just doing angel practice. The standard stuff really. Really just coating himself with electricity and amping it up until it caused him some form of exhaustion. With the day coming to a close Brandon had gone back to his dorm room, and finally went to bed there waiting for the next days events to pass.
11 Spoiler: Arbitrary Self Training #2 Sal opened his eyes to not be surprised by the scenery at all. He was in the world where his previous beat down had happened. Such fond memories those were. Regardless he stood around on top of his mental water ground boundless sky thing. Though this time Zachariel wasn't waiting for him here. Perhaps she simply wanted to skip any formalities since he knew what was going to happen. He continued to just stand there, patiently waiting, until the sky turned red and the clouds went dark. The shadow creature burst forth from the water ground and bellowed at him. Well if that wasn't a deceleration for a fight he didn't know what was. Spoiler: Round 1 The first round between the two picked up from where they left off last time. If memory served this beast had the habit of adapting to all of the previous attacks he used. There was first the side hopping which was followed by the back hopping which finished with the straight punch. As such he thought that it would be impossible for the creature to adapt to all means of countering it at once and probably had to start compensating for that. As he was contemplating this though, the beast had begun its charge straight towards Sal. He had to develop a strategy and develop one fast. As such he decided to actually see what the beast was going to do. It was mostly likely going to adapt to his straight punch so he was expecting a counter to that. Sal waited a bit until he noticed the beast looked ready to come to a halt. To respond to this, Sal jumped backwards to avoid what was coming up next. That turned out to be the beast stopping and punching directly in front of it to stop the previous move that Sal had done to it. Looking confused for a brief moment it didn't know how to respond, so Sal delivered a swift kick to its stomach. It crumpled in for a second, but was just enough time for Sal to do some follow up attacks on it. The beast started to jerk around like one would expecting something being beaten up, until finally it just uppercutted Sal in the chin. This sent Sal flying back a bit until the beast started to go wild on him and the beast tackled him to the ground. With the beast hovering over Sal, it just completely went apeshit crazy and started pummeling him with his fists. Sal felt his teeth breaking from the impact of the blows and his start to shift unnaturally. The beast was just about to break his skull in until he stopped, and simply walked away. Spoiler: Round 2 At this point Sal could barely feel or move his face. Of course, he felt the healing process start to begin. Oh lord the healing process. He felt the uncomfortable and painful shifting of his jaw and the regrowing of his teeth. Once feeling had returned, he rubbed his jaw and simply picked himself up. The beast looked like it was ready for round two, and at this point, Sal supposed he was to. Going over the options again he awaited the beasts charge to figure out how to counter it. The beast began with its usual charge attack and Sal figured it would revert back to using the method it used when he first did the back step method. As such he went in to counter the same way he had before only find out that this beast was smarted than it appeared. Rather than just continuously charging, this time it jumped up and did a diving attack, completely avoiding Sal's fist. Albeit it had completely overshot what it meant to do because it was compensating for the backstep that never happened, but nonetheless it avoided his counter. Sal turned around to find the beast just standing there, with a confused look on its face for a second before swiping its arm at Sal. Sal ducked under the arm and kicked at the things the legs. Thankfully one of his blows landed on the beast's shin, causing it to fall over. Sal got up and back stepped away from the now fallen body. He had to think of what to do next, because usually after the charge was a lot harder to fight. Though while it was picking itself up, Sal thought it a good time to go in for another strike. Kicking at the thing's head it grabbed Sal's leg and shattered it in its grasp.Sal toppled over in agonizing pain and the beast proceeded to do the same to the other leg. When all was over with, Sal felt death about to come on him once more as the beast was pounding on his rib cage until, as usual, it stopped. Spoiler: Round 3 Sal began to pick himself up off the ground before the magical self healing torture began. Sal was kind of wanting to really beat this monstrous entity because he was getting sick and tired of it just breaking all of his bones apart. However Sal toppled over when the uncomfortable feeling of bones shifting around and flesh mending started up again. This regenerating was nothing short of agonizing in terms of pain, but even still Sal started to pick himself up to face the beast he was squaring off against. When it noticed him it snarled and began round three. The fight got underway in the usual way. The beast would charge at Sal, and Sal in turn would have to develop some form of strategy to counter this beast who was constantly adapting to defeat all of Sal's plans. As such Sal had figured since last time it thought he would back step, but he didn't, this time it would think that Sal would simply be going for some form of stand still attack like he had the last two times. It was a risky thought, but the only one he could really think of at the moment. So to avoid the charge and much to Sal's surprise, the beast actually stopped and punched right at where Sal would have been. Taking this opportunity Sal punched the beast in the face but then didn't for a follow up because he didn't want his bones to be shattered in a counter attack again. The beast, slightly confused about not being hit again, took the opportunity to just go in for a counterattack. It punched right at Sal, who just barely got his head out of the way of the attack. Sal then went for his own counterattack involving kicking the beast in the gut. However, the beast's arm was still dangerously close Sal's head, and as such grabbed it, pulled it in, and and the the beast headbutted Sal. Feeling dazed by the blow, Sal stumbled back and proceeded to get the **** kicked out of him until he finally lied limp on the water ground, the beast walking away from him. Spoiler: Round 4 Sal would've gotten up before the healing started this time it was actually physically possible for in this state. Both his arms and legs were rather limp and he just lie there, thinking of how to fight the beast even more. Though his thoughts were cut short by the usual agonizing healing and Sal started to let out screams of pain as his body was being repaired. Sal was starting to think Zachariel was a sadist, though he was still going to go with this fight anyway. It would allow him to become stronger, albeit at a probably slower rate, and gave him an excuse to stick around. That reason being he would be too tired to leave after the training. Though thinking of the group was not on his list of priorities at the moment. Picking himself up he looked towards the number one priority of the moment. And it snarled back at him. The beast began the fight as it always would. That is to say, charging straight at Sal appearing to throw caution to the wind. Seeing as Sal had already pulled off a successful side dodge, moving to the side would not save him this time. So instead he hopped backwards as the beast came forward. However it did not slow down. It was as if the beast may have been anticipating the method. In fact, it didn't show any signs of trying to stop a side dodge. The beast inevitably tackled Sal to the ground as a result of this but the Portuguese man was not out yet. Though he was pinned to the ground there was a short period of time between the beast's tackle and his next attack. As such Sal took the time to simply punch the beast in the face in that time frame. It felt stunned for a bit and as such Sal followed up a couple more times, that is until the beast totally crushed his hand so he couldn't punch anymore. The beast decided to go easy on him this time and only pound in his skull to the point where Sal was basically on the verge of death. Though after delivering his hardcore beat down to the head, the beast walked away from Sal. Spoiler: Round 5 The regenerating wasn't as bad this time, instead it just felt really weird and uncomfortable. His hand, however, was still excruciatingly painful to mend. Though mend it did and whilst it was doing such painful tasks, Sal was picking himself up from the ground. This was round five. The place where the fight had ended last time he sparred against this creature. The real question here was, was it going to end here again? Sal figured it didn't really matter. If this beast's merciless fighting style was anything to go by, Zachariel was quite serious about training him, and if he tried to half ass at any point, he'd probably die for real. With that in mind he turned to face the beast and began the potential final round. The beast began its charge and Sal began to think of what to do in this situation. If the beast was adapting to his previous solutions now based on what the beast did last, then it was most likely thinking he'd go for a stop punch again. As such, Sal did the exact same thing he did last time and back stepped. The beast did just what Sal was thinking it would do, that is stopping short and punching forward. As such Sal ducked in and uppercut the beast in the chin. He followed up that upper cut with a straight to the chest and sent the beast backward. The beast, skidding across the ground, roared at Sal. Sal was expecting some sort of just punch attack again, but this time it just flat out did a second charge at him. Sal, not expecting this, was sent flying by the charge. The beast then did its charge again and this time leaped into the air, slamming itself into Sal as he was falling down again. Sal coughed out blood as he was sent crashing into the ground and didn't quite have the ability to get up from it. The beast grabbed Sal's shirt, and began spinning him around until finally it threw Sal. After skipping across the ground the beast made its away over to Sal, at full speed, and broke in his rip cage. With Sal being unable to move the beast walked away from him. Spoiler: Round 6 Sal felt the healing process start right away after the beast left him be. However something was different about it this time. It was still horrifyingly painful and uncomforting, and he still made grunts in response to the pain, but it was as if it wasn't bothering him as much as it used to. His body fully healed he stood up and realized he was still in this world. With that he supposed that Zachariel intended to drag things out longer than before. Oh well, if he had to keep fighting this thing, than so be it. When Sal looked to the beast it roared and began round six. Round six started out the same as all the other rounds, with the beast charging at Sal. Sal had figured out that the beast was using methods of fighting him that involved predicting him even further than before. This, in turn, made Sal half to focus on just how he would fight the beast now. He clearly just couldn't do something different other wise it could get him hurt. However, Sal ended up doing nothing to see how the beast would respond. He didn't really know what to expect from it but in the end the beast jumped to the side of Sal and began a second charge. Interesting. Sal responded to this by jumping out of the way of the second charge and kicking the thing in the back, making lose its balance. Sal waited for the beast to get up and prepped himself for most likely another charge. However the beast didn't. Instead it just went in to punch Sal's face in. Reacting just in the nick of time, Sal narrowly dodged the beast's fist and responded with his own straight. The beast took the punch and then proceeded to grab Sal's head and headbutt him again. Sal was surprised he didn't actually see this manneuver coming again. Regardless he was not as dazed as last time and went in for another straight to the face. However, so did the beast, and the two ended up with their fist in the opponent's face. However the beast was clearly triumphant in terms of raw strength, and as such sent Sal skidding across the water floor. With Sal unable to get up in time, the beast simply walked over to him and stomped in his spinal cord, while pushing both of his legs over his back. With that the beast realized the fight was over and walked away. Spoiler: Round 7 Sal was immobilized before the healing started. Not only was he in severe pain, but he literally could not feel his legs in anyway shape or form. He tried to push himself up, but unfortunately his bottom half was just keeping him down. That is until he felt the regeneration process occur. It was one of the more painful ones, but even still the pain started to matter less. Once his spine and legs had fully healed he finally got himself back up and stared down the beast. Things were only getting crazier with this thing and he had to keep up his reactions to whatever the **** this thing was doing, or else he was indeed going to lose. The beast returned his stare and round seven kicked off. With his usual charge the beast rocketed away towards Sal. Sal had to think of what this beast was going to do this time and make that he had some follow up in mind, Standing still was most likely going to get him killed, so he had to find some other way around that. Dodging to the side the beast attacked straight forward, but stuck his other hand out to the side at the same time. Sal braced for the impact and was sent backward, with the beast shifting directions and charging at Sal. Sal, in turn, essentially flip kicked the beast in order to stop his charge. He stood there for a moment, slightly confused at what he had been able to do, but proceeded to go for punches to the beast's face. The beast, wanting none of that grabbed Sal's arm and tossed him aside. After rolling around for a bit, Sal picked himself up a bit to notice the beast charging again. In order to counter it this time, he simply kicked the thing in the shin and effectively tripped it. With the beast tumbling around a bit, it finally pushed itself up. Sal got himself only to be immediately, and slightly comically, tackled down by the beast. The beast did its usual thing of breaking Sal's bones and just walking off giving no ****s about the body on the ground. Spoiler: Round 8 Sal lied there in the water as he felt his bones start to reform. The pain started to matter less and less each time it happened, he had observed. Perhaps he was just getting used to it now. Regardless of his contemplation on how this regeneration actually was he eventually stood back up and got ready for round eight to get under way. The beast seemed rather impatient and willing to get it underway as well. The beast started his charge towards Sal and Sal started to think about what to do in this situation. However he quickly stopped thinking about it and simply stood there waiting for the beast to do something. However, he noticed something a little odd about the beast. His arm seemed to be tensing up. It was at this moment that Sal realized what was coming up next. The beast stopped and punched straight at Sal's face, who just narrowly dodged the attack. Recalling the headbutt maneuver, Sal ducked under and uppercut the beast in the gut. He followed it with a hook to the beasts face and then ended with a straight. The beast merely staggered back and came back with a vengeance. It started to do something completely different than any other time. Something that Sal had not seen coming at all. It kicked him. Straight in the gut too. The kick sent Sal launched across the area and he landed with a powerful thunk in the water. The beast walked over to Sal and simply broke both of his arms, broke both of his legs, and then stomped on his rib cage for good measure. When it was over and done with, the beast walked away from Sal, ending the round. Spoiler: Round 9 Sal tried to pick himself up, but found it to be rather difficult with his arms and legs broken. It was then that the bones started to reform in their usual manner and Sal was only reduced to a pained gasping and grunting during it. Once it had finished, Sal was able to pick himself off of the ground and turned his attention to the beast. It was at this moment that he was feeling a tad bit impatient and the poster really just wanted to get to round ten, so with that the beast returned his death glare and round nine started. Sal tried to start and think through all of the possibilities of what could happen in this round. Over the past thirteen rounds the beast seemed to have a defined pattern. But now, the beast just seemed to be moving erratically. His charge at the beginning was the only thing that stayed the same but that was probably because with the distance between the two he couldn't really do anything else. Because of this Sal's mind started to become rather cluttered and he was actually starting to over think it. The beast ended up jumping over Sal, which he was not expecting at all. The beast followed up with a punch towards Sal's gut, which he narrowly dodged. Sal went to counter this by going for a straight right at the beast's face and ended up following that up with one upper cut into the beast's gut. This sent the beast hurtling back into the water, only for it to spring right back up on its feet. The beast then countered this by charging Sal and stopping midway to land a punch square in his face. Sal was sent flying, as usual, but he tried to recover. While he was skidding across the ground he saw the beast continue to charge at him and then figured he saw something. He knew a punch was coming up next, and because he had no way to counter it, he was hit by a punch. Looking at the beast, even in his dazed state, he was able to see exactly what was coming next. Each blow that he sustained, he knew exactly how it was going to happen. And not even like he was predicting it, he just saw it in the beast's movements. Unfortunately he couldn't do anything to stop it, so he was just sort of pummeled down into the ground. With his body lying limp on the water ground, the beast walked away. Spoiler: Round 10 Sal began to pick himself up despite his injuries. Even when the regeneration started he still stood his ground through it. It hurt like hell, but he was not letting the pain get to him any more. He just fought through it and stared down the beast. He knew how to win this time, and win he would. When the two finally returned each others gazes, it was time for round ten to start. And Sal was going to make sure that this was the last round. The beast started with his charge, and Sal think of doing anything. Instead, he just looked right at the beast. He continued to perceive until he saw that the beast was actually about to do something. Sending a kick to the side he ended up intercepting the beast as it hopped to the side. The beast was completely taken off guard at Sal actually intercepting him. As such it hopped back and away from him until it decided to come in for another attack. Sal dodged to the side, avoiding a punch from the beast and countered with his own straight. The two then engaged in a fist fight of startling results. The beast, who had been so easily able to counter Sal before, was now getting his shadowy ass kicked. Was really quite the change of pace. The beast had started to completely lose its ability to think and started flailing rapidly at Sal. While Sal could read most of the attacks coming at him, he still couldn't keep up with all of them. As such he got flung back and skidded across the water ground. He then saw the beast charging at him and about its next movements. With the beast jumping straight at Sal, Sal flip kicked it and sent the beast flying backward. When the beast landed on the he didn't get back up. Instead, he just started to bubble and turn into wisps. The wisps eventually formed a black sphere and the beast was no more. Sal was actually a bit astonished about it. Did he just win? Walking over to the sphere, the black sphere it suddenly started to shine a light through it. The light started to break through the black sphere until it was a sphere of completely differing color. Instead of just being some sort of pulsing black sphere of darkness, it now glowed a golden and a white color. Sal touched the golden sphere and it instantly absorbed into his body. Though after the sphere was absorbed, the entire world sort of started to fade away. Sal woke up to feel even more exhausted then he was before. He noticed that no one had actually been around, save the blue haired man, who was still sleeping, and figured they had done nothing at all today. As such, Sal got on his feet, albeit he was shaking a good deal and sweating profusely. He looked outside to notice that the day was ending and he really needed to get some sleep. As such, Sal walked himself off to bed and fell asleep for the night, hopefully to some sleep where he wasn't fighting.
The rest of the time with Miss Pierce had been quite the lovely one. The two of them had finished all the necessary school work, and as such there was simply food and television to waste the day away with. He had enjoyed it quite a good deal and honestly felt like he was in a magic slice of heaven. He had not been to someones house for recreational activities in quite some time and the actual time spent with her was one he would not trade for anything in the world. Not because of a romantic reason, no, simply because the whole experience was...nice. However, like all good things, his time with Miss Pierce had come to an end. Specifically when his mother sent a message to him telling him that he was in so much trouble and would probably be in even more if he did not "get his ass home this instant." Mother was always the elegant one. He said his goodbyes to Miss Pierce and as reluctant as he was to leave the shy female, the world was calling him elsewhere. In the end he had strolled to his house only to be greeted by his both furious and relieved mother. She had found that his decoy self in bed only lasted about ten minutes once Mother had actually woken up. Well that was a tad disappointing. However she did seem interested in how his day had actually gone, to which he simply said, "pleasantly." With all activities out of the way, the young gentleman eventually found himself in his bed and went to sleep for the night.
"They've been really, really good. It was ah, my birthday on Thursday and I um ... I had a friend over to ce - celebrate." Ah well that was quite pleasant to hear. The young gentleman had not realized it was Miss Pierce's birthday the day after the two had met at the grocery store. Had he, he certainly would have done something to assist this friend of hers in celebration. Furthermore he now felt obligated to give Miss Pierce a gift now that she had revealed to him that her birthday was such a short while ago. Nevertheless he was quite glad to hear that she had been enjoying her days. It was always nice to hear about someone having an enjoyable experience in such horrifying times. Especially when it was someone as docile and lovely as Miss Pierce. "H - how have the last couple days been going with you?" Now that was quite the question. The young gentleman had thought about the last two days and the events that had transpired on them. That being, roughly next to nothing. "Ah well, my few days have been rather mundane, though I suppose quiet and peaceful. Those two traits are, for the most part, good in a day. Really nothing more has transpired across them other than the usual labor that is internet based school work." For the most part he was telling the truth. He had omitted the not mundane part, that being Mother cracking down the metaphorical whip on him spending time outside and cutting his stroll limit to a grand total of zero. Though he did not wish to tell Miss Pierce this, as he was sure it would fill her with nothing but guilt, and he would not have such a negative emotion ruin his afternoon of pleasantries. Though he still felt something had to be done about her birthday. As stated before, he felt morally obligated to give Miss Pierce a gift. Though as to what to do, he was rather at a loss, as he only had a laptop case on him and not quite much else. Oh well, bridges like this shall be crossed all in due time. Instead he was not quite sure as to what to do next. "So then Miss Pierce, would you wish to continue to work on our assignments or simply sit around and enjoy ourselves in some recreation?" He was not entirely sure if this was the best thing to say at this juncture, but regardless, it was the only thing the man could think of to say.
And so the odd pair of students began to delve into the realm that was mathematics, more specifically Algebra. The young gentleman was slightly over adequate when it came to the subject and as such was rather pleased and elated to be able to assist Miss Pierce in her endeavors to understand such a confusing subject. Oh how the both of them had struggled to get all the concepts down. She seemed to have difficulty with understanding the concepts and the young man felt that his vocabulary was most likely not the best for explanations. Though through thick and thin they had managed to break through the numerical quandary that the subject of Algebra presented them. After that the two of them had enjoyed the nourishment that Miss Pierce had prepared and quite enjoyed it. The television set was providing background noise to this quite lovely of moments that they shared. The young gentleman's heart had settled down a tremendous amount since they had started working together. It just felt rather normal at that point. He sat there and then turned his attention to when Miss Pierce had posed a question to him. "Have you um ... decided where you wanna g - go in the fall? I'm thinking - I'm thinking of some place out of state. I've been looking at ah, schools as far away from C - Candlewood as I can get. I just -- this town is so messed up, ya' know?" After the question was posed he sat there thinking on it. Ah the future. More specifically their academic future. Had he been asked this question just a year ago he would have adamantly stood by staying in Candlewood for the remained of his academic years. Though what with all of the events as of late, his confidence in this town was beginning to wane. He still would not mind going to continue with his education here, though now he would not be opposed to any schools outside of it that would accept him. "I understand your feelings on this town. It saddens me to think how this once illustrious town has fallen so far from grace in so little time. I have, as well, considered leaving Candlewood for my educational experience as well, though even with my dismay with the town I shall still feel a great deal of reluctance to leave it. It is the home I know after all." He stayed silent for a bit and felt the air in the room to be quite heavy. Having expressed his opinion and not wanting such unnerving silence in between. He would do the gentlemanly thing and try to lighten the mood. "So how have the past few days treated you Miss Pierce?"
Brandon woke up that morning feeling nice and refreshed. The dorm room that he had stayed in was rather nice and he felt ready to take on the day...or ya know continue on with whatever it was they were going to do. He wasn't actually sure what Heinry planned to do now that he had met up with Eris. Like it was a nice reunion and all, and Brandon he was happy he could get to see it but now...they were just sort of in Russia. Oh well. So as such Brandon decided to just get out of bed and get ready for the day and all that it threw at him. He walked out of the room and just made his way to the entrance to wait for Heinry and Eris. Though he figured he'd go and update the main group as to what was going down. Taking out his/Cassandra's phone he started texting his red headed invisible angel friend.

The young gentleman had waited at the door for what felt like an eternity. Oh how time seemed to come to a grinding halt as his heart sailed through his chest. It could not have taken more than a few seconds from the time he knocked to the that she had answered the door, but the mind had a funny way of perceiving reality sometimes. When she had answered the door his nervousness dissolved into nothing less than bliss. Her face had bore a smile on its face, though it looked as if it was one formed of nerves. Though the young man had known of this girls rather crippling shyness when it came to interacting with others, so the sheer fact that she was putting in an effort to look happy towards him, oh it was enough to kill him with happiness. "Hi, Rian. Glad you could come. Studying should ah, be fun. " "Why yes, I do believe it will prove to be." Oh how he had been awaiting for this day to come and now that it was here it felt slightly surreal. Nevertheless he ended up stepping through the door, which she so graciously let him through, he took in the place he was now inside. "You can take your shoes off here and we'll um ... We'll be in the living room. I made snacks!" As such the two of them made it through her kitchen area into her living room. It was quite the different decorum than what he was expecting from his delicate female companion, though it still seemed quite the lovely place to live. Well it could have looked like a cave and he would have thought its appearance was equally as beautiful as the female who lived in it. "So um, yeah here we are." Miss Pierce gestured to the room and took a seat down on the couch in front of her laptop. "Um, have a seat. There's ah, sandwiches and juice." "Why thank you Miss Pierce." As instructed to, the young gentleman sat down near the young Miss, though not uncomfortably so. He then pulled out his own laptop and begun to turn the piece of hardware on. While he was waiting, he thought of what to say next. Truthfully he could have sat in silence for the entirety of the time they were to spend together and be fully content with his day. However, that would most definitely defeat the purpose of such a visit and as such he turned to there. "Now then, do you require any assistance in any of your subjects at the moment. I believe you said something about Algebra being a rough patch the other day? If so I would be more than willing to start with that with you. Unless of course you had some other course planned first to work on."
DAY 37Monday, October 28th, 2013 Spoiler: Arbitrary Self Training Post Spoiler: Move Along all who do not wish to read Spoiler: You Have Been Warned Sal had re-opened his eyes to be met with quite the different scenery. He was no longer sitting in the hotel bed sleeping a peaceful sleep. Instead he was in a place he had only been once before. It was a place that had a large boundless blue sky, sparsely populated with white clouds, gently moving around. There he stood on the crystal clear endless ocean, ripples outstretching from his feet. The only other being to be seen in such a vast and clear world was none other than that same dainty figure that had been here the first time he was here. She was sitting down, ripples outstretching from where she was sitting, and softly smiled at him. "So, you called me here for something?" "Ah yes. I brought you here to better yourself as a fallen angel." He raised an eyebrow to this and she began to explain to him. "You see despite the fact that as a collective unit these fallen angels most likely work terribly together, as of right now I can see that on an individual level they are quite potent. As such, you too need to gain some form of individual talent. That is why you are here now. Do you understand my purpose?" Sal shrugged both of his shoulders and looked back at the angelic figure. "Yes, yes. I suppose I do. So now, what should we be doing?" Zachariel said nothing to this. Instead she simply disappeared in the blink of an eye. Afterwards the sky started to turn a crimson color and the clouds, a black color. As Sal just stood there he noticed something about the place where Zachariel was sitting. There was a black wisp coming out from it. He stared it for longer as it started to climb higher and higher until it was about the same height as Sal. Once it had reached that height it stopped growing taller and started to stretch out. Once it had stopped it looked as if it was a body made entirely of black smoke, with nothing more than two arms and two legs. Once the body had completely formed where the "head" was, two piercing red orbs formed, something he could equivocate to eyes. While this shadowy figure had no definable features, Sal could still tell that the thing looked ready to fight. Believing this was Zachariel's doing, Sal figured he'd rather just comply right now and as such, got ready for what this thing was going to do. Spoiler: Round 1 Round one got underway but calling it a fight would be giving Sal far too much credit. Round one should better be known as a complete and utter smack down on behalf of the shadowy creature. The thing started to charge Sal and so Sal...didn't actually know how to react to this thing. He was actually pretty green when it came to any form of fighting and while he had seen much action in differing forms of media, trying to execute in real life had always proven to be next to impossible. So all Sal really did was brace himself for the attack and got slammed into by the full force of the thing. Despite being made of some sort of shadowy smoke thing, it felt like he was getting hit by a wall of bricks. He felt the wind get knocked out of him and was launched across the water like ground he was standing on. Skipping across it like he was some sort of stone being tossed across a pond, he felt his arm take quite the beating. After that had stopped he picked himself pack up only to see the thing continue to charge him. With having no time to react at all the creature let out a feral roar as it uppercut Sal in the chin. If it wasn't for the fact that he still felt it, he would've been sure that the blow shattered his jaw. When Sal fell back down to the creatures level it punched him in the gut once more and making him cough out some blood before it sent him sailing through the air once more. As he started flying the creature continued its relentless assault and grabbed his leg before he even landed. It flailed him, smashing his body into the water ground and tossing him back into the air. When Sal had come back down the shadow creature grabbed his head and started applying pressure. Sal could start to feel his skull cave in from the sheer force of the things hand and tried desperately to break free from it, but his body had basically stopped responding at this point. He was positive that he was going to die, and there was going to be nothing he could do to stop it. Just as he felt the end coming the shadowy figures arm was severed from its body and it retreated away from Sal. Sal had dropped to the ground and lie there, bleeding and unable to do anything. Spoiler: Round 2 Sal continued to lie there until he felt some heavenly power wash across him. What made it heavenly? Who really cares. He felt feeling return to him and was to move once more. Feeling completely re-energized he stood up and examined himself. Apparently he was entirely fixed up. Well that was convenient. He figured it was Zachariel's doing, but wasn't really sure whether to thank her for it or not. Oh well, the shadow creature's arm had reformed and it snapped its attention back to Sal. It then started charging in for a second round. Sal realizing that trying to just brace himself for the fight would probably end the exact same way as before, started to pay attention to what the creature was doing. Acting like some feral beast it was only actually charging him, so Sal did the only thing he could think of to counter it. He quickly jumped out of the way when he figured the correct time was going to be and avoided some of the charge. The creature still knocked into hum and still sent him flinging back, but at least he wasn't helpless this time. However the creature was clearly not done with him. The shadow creature started charging Sal once more and he decided to side step it again. This time the creature stretched out its arm and grabbed him while he was in mid air, and pulled him in closer. Well this was bad. Having not dodged at all the Portuguese man did the only thing he really could in this situation, which was use his free arm to punch the shadow in the face. It reeled back from the hit, but was not deterred. In fact it responded by breaking the arm it was holding. Sal let out a scream of pain and the creature continued to beat him down until Sal could feel that most of his bones had become like pellets, scattered throughout his body. The creature was about to deliver a finishing curb stomp when it just stopped and walked away. Spoiler: Round 3 Sal felt his body be repaired once more and stood up, coughing out some blood as he did so. It took him a good minute to get himself fully stable before he was ready for a third round. He looked at the creature, who was now staring at him. The two of them were going to be at this for awhile, Sal could tell. In fact he probably wasn't leaving this dream world until he had beaten the thing. And based on how things were going so far, it wasn't going to be an easy task. The creature began its charge at Sal, as per the usual, and Sal got ready to dodge. This time he noticed the creature was getting ready to stretch out the same arm it had before to catch Sal's dodge. So what Sal did to counteract this was shift his weight to that very side, which the beast responded to by preemptively stretching out its arm to grab him. With that Sal then jumped the other direction avoiding the beasts attempts to stop him. This time Sal successfully dodged most of the charge. It still hit him, but was more of a glancing blow this time. However, this time Sal still had his balance and as such went in for a counter attack. Going for a straight right at the beasts face he hit it square on and caused it to stumble a bit. However it wasn't just going to be beat by the that. Using its closer arm, it swept in Sal's direction and was carrying enough force to break his skull in two. Sal, however, had been able to react in time and ducked under the beast's swing, which then followed up by uppercutting it in probably its jaw. Hard to tell what the anatomy of a complete shadow creature was. After it got uppercut, it jumped upwards. While that was happening it tucked in both of its legs close and kicked Sal right in the rib cage. Sal felt the wind get knocked out of him and was sent flying back, shattered rib bones now piercing through his lungs and heart. He felt that same feeling of oncoming death when the creature merely stopped its advances and stared up blankly. Spoiler: Round 4 Sal felt his rib cage reforming and his heart and lungs start to regenerate. Really this whole healing process felt quite uncomfortable. Furthermore it meant that he still had to fight this thing. He figured Zachariel had a purpose behind him fighting this thing over and over again in a never ending brawl, but didn't exactly enjoy the straight up brawl situation. Though his angel wanted to strengthen him, most likely, and Sal had to comply with it. With that in mind, it was time to go down into round four. The beast seemed like it had the ability to adapt to each time Sal managed to harm it. This time it did its usual charge, but got ready to catch him from either side. Sal figured that in order for him to dodge this, going side to side would not be viable. Instead, he started shifting to one side that made the beast preemptively bring out that arm. Then he shifted to the other side which caused the beast to bring out both of its arms. With them both out Sal simply jumped backwards, away from the beast to avoid it. The beast had been expecting a side dodge and as such slowed down to more easily catch him. However because of that, Sal had been able to avoid the charge. With the beast momentarily confused and slower than usual, Sal took the opportunity to kick it in the chest. It reeled a bit from the attack, which Sal continued to beat down on it by hitting it in the face three more times. The beast, while it did seem was being pushed around by the force of his attacks, it did not seem like they had any real effect on it. Instead after Sal had delivered two more punches to the things head, it grabbed his fist and...crushed it. Sal immediately let out a wail of pain, while the creature didn't actually feel like stopping its counter attack. As such it started to punch Sal in the diaphragm, making it nearly impossible for Sal to breathe. After a couple of punches had been delivered, Sal collapsed to the ground, while meekly trying to raise his fist against beast. It simply responded by crushing his other hand. With no power to really fight back, Sal lied on the ground limply, unable to fight back. The beast did not continue to break his bones, but simply walked away from the broken man. Spoiler: Round 5 Sal felt his hands start to reform in an extremely painful shifting manner. This angel had an odd way of helping him out. Sure he had been getting better with each passing fight, but that was simply because he was readjusting himself to match the beast's fighting style, not because he was actually getting stronger. Not to mention getting continuously beat down and healed was rather unfortunate, because Sal enjoyed not being snapped in half all the time. As reluctant as he was becoming to this "training" Sal pressed onward. It was true that he was the weakest amongst the other people, and he truly did need to fix that problem. As such he collected himself and stood up, ready to take on the beast. The beast predictably charged at him and Sal figured he already knew the beast wasn't going to make the same mistake it had made these past few rounds. It was going to grab at both sides and not slow down at all. So what is a man to do. Of course the only thing he could do at this point. With the beast charging him, Sal calmly stood there waiting for the beast to get close enough. When it did, he reacted accordingly and punched it in the might be jaw. The beast was not expecting a frontal assault and as such was knocked completely off balance by the attack. This caused it to be knocked off its feet yet still go forward due to its momentum. The momentum ended up causing it fall flat on its back and land on the surface of the water ground hard. Despite having the upper hand in this case, Sal was not going to blindly rush in there to take the thing on while it was down. Seeing as it had enough strength to break his bones easily at any given moment, it was not the wise decision to just charge in against it. The creature began to pick itself back up and let out a roar towards Sal, clearly not happy with what had just happened to it. It charged Sal again and while that punch had worked before the thing had constantly been correcting its behavior to counter everything he did. As such Sal was at a loss of what to actually do and could only brace himself for the oncoming attack. The attack however, completely ignored his bracing. The creature stopped in front of Sal mid charge, and punched straight at him. With the punch connecting it sent Sal flying backward across the water ground. The punch felt stronger than all the other ones before hand, and Sal couldn't really do much to keep himself upright. After he had been able to collect himself on the ground he noticed that the beast was still charging him and was ready to completely and utterly kill him. Sal kicked at the thing while he was still on the ground, but the beast merely caught his foot, spun it like it was some sort of wind up toy, and completely destroyed his leg. With that out of the way, the beast curb stomped his chest in until Sal felt the familiar feeling of his rib cage breaking in. With that the beast marched itself away as it usually would, waiting for the next fight. Sal woke up from that experience extremely tired and fatigued. He was sure that he was going to continue onward with the fighting until he was the victor but apparently that observation had been wrong. "Well of course I couldn't have you fight until you were the victor. The strength gap between you two is too great at the moment and going any farther would exhaust your body far too much." Wonderful. Oh well, he merely hoisted himself out of bed and decided to go down to eat something for breakfast. The trip down was not an easy one. Sure he had taken the elevator instead of just walking down the stairs, but the short walk from his room to said elevator was pretty tiring. Training in your sleep sure did a number on the bodies stamina, that's for sure. By the time he made it to the actual breakfast area he was dead tired. To compensate this he ate a breakfast that an entire village couldn't match that amount. When he felt satisfied, though not full, he simply walked out into the lobby to see the blue haired man still sleeping in the chair. Did he even move at all last night? Regardless Sal took a seat and contemplated falling asleep, he still felt extremely fatigued after all, but nevertheless he kept awake and waited for everyone else to arrive.
Ooc: Short post because bed time Brandon had ended up listening to all that had to be said and ended up staying at wherever the fuck it was that they went to bed at for the night. Brandon was pretty happy with the way things had turned out and would probably inform the rest of the group tomorrow what had actually happened. For now though, he had to get going to good old fashion sleepy time.
Brandon sat there in the taxi listening to what Heinry and Eris did for a living. Physics professors huh? While it might not seem like it, Brandon was actually interested in physics. It was all full of cool science stuff to explain the universe and junk. Not to mention with the advent of his lightning powers, and how physics did explain electricity and its properties and stuff, he had found a fondness to it even more. Though while Brandon was only curious about his occupation, Heinry continued to go on about he and Eris met each other. It was quite the nice story and Brandon could tell that he really did care a great deal for his wife. Though after he told the story of how they met he posed a question to Brandon. "So, what about you? How do you put bread on the table?" Brandon did...absolutely nothing for a living. "Well I don't actually have a job or anything like that. My mom basically provided for us both. The closest thing to an occupation I can think of is me playing tennis, but that doesn't actually pay any money." They had done some walking through the building and it felt a good deal warmer in here then it did outside. As such Brandon let up on his electric jacket and continued walking until the both of them stopped at an office door. Brandon had literally no idea what the door said, but Heinry seemed to as he burst through the doors and yelled for his wife. The two of them then proceeded to have a reunion that touched his heart and they met up with some other woman. And boy did she seem mad at Heinry for having Eris just living out on her own here in Russia with nothing at all. After berating Heinry with questions he simply told her that it was a story that he didn't seem believable and then his wife actually took notice of Brandon. When she asked who he was Brandon simply gave a wave as Heinry explained that he was here simply because he didn't have anything better to do. This was false. There were many things Brandon could be doing at the moment. He could be with the main group shooting lightning bolts at people for training purposes. "Well I'm more here because people were getting impatient and left with me volunteering to keep track of him. And good thing I did, because boy did he leave in a hurry, like a man on a mission. There wasn't anything keeping him from finding his wife at that point." Brandon said this all gleefully, though failed to take into account that context was kind of important.
The good sir woke up that morning feeling refreshed and quite ecstatic for the day's events to transpire. Oh how he had awaited this time for the past two days. It was quite the joyous occasion, that it was. The good gentleman removed himself from his bed and merrily roamed about his house. As he had sat down to eat his breakfast meal he looked at his phone once more to be sure that he was indeed not hallucinating these past few days events. Oh how overjoyed he was for this moment. Though the major problem, that being his mother not wanting him to leave the confines of his abode, still stood firm. He had to think of someway to get past this obstacle but how. EUREKA! One of the simplest solutions he could think of. One that has been aiding man since the dawn of simple sitcom like situations. He had made sure that no one was awake at the time of doing such a task. Creeping ever so silently into his bed chamber he stuffed his winter covers under his lighter ones to give the appearance of a human body resting underneath them. With that done he simply rolled a good deal of his clothing into a sphere and placed it next to his faux person to give the impression of a head. It was perfect, and provided no one turned the lights on in his room, they would all remain none the wiser. However just to make sure his reason for doing so was clear, in case he was found out he stuck a note under the covers stating that he was doing schoolwork at a friends house. With that little scene out of the way he retrieved his portable computer and his cellular phone and headed out doors to go on his grand adventure of merriment....and schoolwork. Though he found it rude to appear at Miss Mhenj- Pierce's home he figured to send an instant message to her first. With that message sent the young sir began to go on his lovely stroll towards Miss Pierce's house, with a skip in his step. While he could indeed drive there, two factors compelled him not to. The first being Mother would clearly notice a car missing from their establishment of living and he would be "dead" upon arrival to his home. The second being driving simply did not give him the fresh air he so enjoyed from his strolls. As such it would be strictly walking there, no matter how long it would be. However the trip had not actually proven to be lengthy. Though as he approached the door he got what one would call "cold feet." He was not the type to usually lose his composure when the opportunity to interact with others arise, but this being with Miss Pierce, things felt seemingly different. He felt nervous for reasons he could not quite explain, but nevertheless he had to do this task. Oh how he knew he was overreacting to this simple social interaction and as such he simply walked up and knocked upon the door.
"Everyone just sort of did their own thing." Well that was a rather...light response. Sure he wasn't expecting something big but you know, maybe a tad bit more detail as to what he actually did for the day. Oh well, he figured that based on his response the group didn't really do much together. Oh well, Sal continued to sit there not really sure as to what to say to this boy. The man beside him was still sleeping as well. Was he waiting for something or what? Furthermore was he nocturnal? Those questions didn't really seem like being answered at the moment so he decided to not think about them any further. Instead he turned his attention back to the boy he was talking to. "Well that sounds enjoyable to say the very least. Anyway it is getting late and I think I have to be on my way, so goodnight." With that Sal got up and waved to the kid. As he was walking down the hallway he continued to think more on the angels and what being an angel actually entailed. In fact, he was quite curious about one key part. What were they supposed to do after everyone was recruited? Oh well, that wasn't something to be worrying about at the here and now he supposed. He eventually went to his room and fell asleep there.
Ooc: Sorry for short post but school work hath drained me. Evan had continued to lie on the floor even after everyone around him started to wake up. He noticed that Cherry Red wasn't looking so rosy and looked ready to go and heave out his stomach. Which Evan is pretty sure that's what Cherry Red did next. With all of that done the gang simply sat around and didn't too much other than a little talking here and there about last night and how they were holding up. None of them left early from the place as they were all rather still drained and hungover from the prior night's activity. When he was finally feeling up to it, he removed himself from the floor and started his way home, but not before thanking Professor for quite the awesome night. Getting in his car he drove off to his home. Once he got there he started to wearily walk throughout his place and got something to eat. He figured that maybe some rest would do him good, and without really wanting to put the effort to go to a bed, he fell asleep on his living room floor. Oh how the couch was merely a few feet away, but he couldn't be bothered to go for it.
Sal continued to sit there next to his sleeping fellow fallen angel when he noticed a new person come into the picture. He had remembered seeing him before, but only vaguely. The young boy continued to walk towards him until finally taking a seat next to Sal. He merely payed no mind to this and just continued to stare off into space thinking about what was going on with all the angel business. "So how was your little trip to Rome?" The boy seemed not so much curious for the answer as he was bored and wanted to kill time. Though telling him what had happened would probably be a good thing, not to mention Sal could go with the idea of killing time. With his upbeat and calm voice he decided to start explaining. "Ah well you see, we originally went there to find someone who I believe had wronged those two females. However instead, we were met with a dark angel known as Danel. He explained to us that the person we were seeking out was already dead and he proceeded to render us immobile. During such time he explained to us that an angel named Ariel was in grave danger and that he would pretty much be killed off soon if we didn't hurry up. After that was finished he let us go and left. It was quite the interesting experience really. So I guess I should ask you a question of the same nature. What was done here while we were gone in Rome?"
Brandon was lounging around the lobby playing with his tennis racket when he saw Heinry finally come in. Once he was there they didn't spend much time before leaving. Once outside he started to feel the cold intensify so of course he had to intensify his electric jacket. Though he didn't need to keep it up for longer since there was already a taxi ready and waiting for the both of them. Well that certainly helpful. Once inside the taxi Brandon just sat there next to Heinry and didn't really do much. However Heinry decided to keep him informed. "We're heading to MIPT." M-I-P-T? Mipit? What was Mipit? "Some people like to call it Russia's version of MIT." M-I-T? Mit? Were they going to some sort of large scale hand mit? "Um...it's a really good school." Brandon thought that the Russian's were probably different from the rest of Europe, but he didn't think that they went to school in large scale hand mits. Weird. "Iris, my wife, has a friend who's the head of a department there." Oh his wife's name was Eris. Well that was a nice name. Though he wondered why she would be friends with someone in a Russian mit school. Furthermore he was actually wondering how Heinry was even able to be a pseudo-Lion in terms of being able to get free stuff. So he decided to try and find out more about the guy. Was better to ask then to just let some dead air between the two of them like usual. "So, what do you and your wife do for a living?"

Oh no Jayn-chan, feel better!
