jrpg's are known for focusing a lot more of their time on the aesthetics of the game than the actual gameplay itself. by having a good looking game it serves as sort of a distraction and filler for whatever the story "lacks". i personally don't really have any problems with them because pretty games are nice, but that's why a lot of people who play western style rpg's and fps complain that final fantasy "doesn't fulfill their expectations". besides, a lot of people dislike the direction that the final fantasy games are going since there are so many people think that they are losing their direction and ingenuity and that square enix needs to reevaluate their priorities/their audience when it comes to creating a game that is both "new" and appeals to the western audience. p.s.- also a lot of people think that final fantasy games are like one big soap opera with huge focuses on emotions rather than story development.

Spoiler i really liked the wallpaper when i saw it since it was sort of water color-esque and the colors were nice. i might change the dock icons one day but for now i don't really want to mess with all of that. listening to music at 5:45 am flksdfjlskdjfsd
