I don't know about pre-calc (Canada doesn't have it I guess?) but in Calculus, we learn about how to derive and integrate formulas. And that's pretty much all I can remember from my many years ago in Calculus.

A good place to try new games is the library, since you didn't ask. You can play them for the x number of weeks the library gives you, and if you like it, you can buy it and the save file is still on the PS3. That's where I borrowed Thief from. I've always had this thought that they could have two scripts. If you decide to keep the default names, the script would run as usual. If you rename the characters, then everyone else just refers to you as "Hey you" like in X.
