Her skin was scraped and bleeding all the way from her ankles up to above her knees, and she just wished that it would all end, right there, at that moment, whether dying or having someone find her and take her some place safe. Safe from all the danger, from all fear, from everything. Such wishful thinking... "Well, this cruise didn't really start off very well either, so what makes me think that it's gonna get any better?" she thought. And she believed that it was the truth.
