Yeah people do lie about life quite a lot. In my country teachers and parents are realistic about how highschool is a difficult place to be and told year 7 and 8s this. I remember my year 8 teacher saying on one of our last days "You leave here, go to highschool, go get a degree or diploma and then it's all downhill from there. He admitted that highschool is tough. But we were told about that when we were ready to hear that, and accept that those 5 years are some of the toughest years. I think people should know about things and be told the truth about them when they should be...
