pretty much, they consider it all just "gaming" so I often get ads for ****** flash games. The idea of course is to serve ads you're into so that you click them ha. That said if anyone ever gets an autoplay video ad please send me the name of the company and I'll block it
Actually we use AdSense so your ads are based upon the data you allow Google to collect on you, so if you are getting ads for The Order it's likely you've been googling it or the PS4. Suffice to say I get a lot of ads for it ;)
You won't be able to capture off a 3DS with an Elgato sadly. @Mixt would know more about it.
Laptops are generally just a pain in the butt sometimes. Yours doesn't seem outdated to me, and a budget laptop bought these days isn't going to offer a compelling difference in speed or specs. If you don't mind being stationary you could save for a gaming PC, but either way, if you're going to buy a new computer you should invest enough that you won't have to replace it in a few years. If you game online a lot, headsets are pretty much a must have. I bought the first of Sony's wireless headsets and it works great with my PS4 -- I would have maybe gone to the Pulse Elite but I found mine on eBay for $35 which is a steal. Their new Gold headset has gotten crazy good reviews though it's still pricey. Wireless headsets will run you a fair amount though, I will warn you about that. I love my capture card even if I'm not an avid streamer or anything. The quality of the PS4's sharing stuff is nice but not great, and I like the flexibility that my capture card offers -- I'm not bound by the limitations of the PS4. Plus I wouldn't want to use the PS4 for commentaries or anything like that. Quick screenshots and the occasional "wow I want to preserve that moment" are done great by the PS4 but if you want to do more than that a capture card is a good investment. I have an Elgato and I love it, IMO best capture card on the market. Pretty sure you can get them refurb from Walmart for $110. The TV is a good option too though, from a convenience and usefulness standpoint. Hope some of this helps ~
I'm uploading to YouTube if you still want to take a look at the game (and see how **** I am at shooters). I was intending to play earlier but I got called into work sadly -- I do want to stream more this summer so hopefully I'll start doing it at more reasonable times (i.e. not 3AM).
I DID THIS AGAIN AFTER YOU LEFT All done for tonight, thanks to those who joined in~
I would be happy to participate again ~
I was sooo underwhelmed by what they showed at E3 but I'm excited to start the alpha tonight. Might be postin' up a stream if anyone is interested~
No worries! I have a few quests to do before I get there anyway.
I'm actually close to the Garuda fight and looking for someone to DPS if you're interested~
2014 is the year of lexi
Moving this to the KH3 section. Like Tale said, killing Kairi would be problematic as it would leave an empty spot for the Princesses of Light; not only that, but we don't quite know the extent of Aqua's protective spell on Kairi -- if she were attacked, and lost her heart (as it doesn't seem you can really die in the KH universe?), it's possible that it would attach again to a nearby light. From a critical standpoint, I would be very upset if Nomura killed Kairi in KH3, and not just because I like Kairi and don't want to see her die. She's had very little agency in the series so far and really very little development -- that's pretty much universally agreed on in the Kingdom Hearts series. Most of her importance thus far has been as a motivation (Sora needs to rescue her/wants to return home with her) or out of her purity. It's only now, after the ending of Dream Drop Distance, that she has some real potential to become a stronger character (both as a Keyblade wielder and in terms of importance & agency in the story). To kill her just to further the manpain would be incredibly insulting. She deserves more than being killed off just to make Sora sad.
Just checked out some of the Day 1 stuff (not all of it yet heh). The Order 1886 stuff was really interesting (obviously), the hype is real for this game New LoZ game looks awesome, cool to see Nintendo (maybe) trying out a new protag Gen 3 remakes ahhhhhhhhh they look so great
They have had fairly new movies in the games before, like Chicken Little and Tron Legacy. By the time KH3 is out Frozen won't be very new. I was hoping they meant something like it being full 1080p unlike KH1.5, though they could just be talking about cutscenes or something.
I wonder what they mean by a "better remaster." I don't think there was anything awfully wrong with 1.5, there are things that could be improved so I'm curious about what they're referring to.
Same here really, in the episode I get my days mixed up several times heh.
We always talk about who is on the podcast in the first few minutes of the episode. Yeah sorry if that was confusing! Podcasts are always recorded a few days before they go up (gives me time to edit them) so this one was recorded on Sunday & went up today (Tuesday).
It depends on what email client you're using. Thread will be moved.
