Returning Mina's grin, Guy threw a thumbs-up towards her, before taking to his feet and stepping outside with the pair.
"Chief and I, we've been through a lot together." he said, in response to Mina's earlier statement. "Me, him, the rest of the crew, we were like family back home. Every one of us willing to defend each other to the end. Even Mamoru, who's still only... well, no, he's not just a kid anymore."

Guy looked out at the scenery from where they were on the 'balcony' of Dai-Gurren, thinking back to his past and who he had left behind in coming here. It made him really wonder what it was that had brought him here, and whether or not anyone else he knew would be around.
"I guess you could say Mamoru was like my Simon or Simone." Guy said, more or less thinking out loud at this point.
"He was a kid from... well, actually not from Earth at all. He lived here all his life, but he was actually born somewhere called The Green Planet, which is where my old 'teammate', Galeon, came from."

He turned to Mina, facing her before going on and explaining just who Galeon was.
"You remember GaoFar, right? Well before PhantomGao was built, I used Galeon, a huge lion-robot, to form GaiGar instead. Together, me, Galeon, Mamoru, and the rest of GGG all fought against things called Zonders, which were like... machine creatures, that could take over people and bring out all their negative emotions."

Guy suddenly realised that all he was doing was talking and talking, and laughed slightly to himself at how crazy his story must sound to somebody that wasn't around to see them.
"Sorry, this must sound far-fetched to you, huh? What about you? How were things where you came from?"

Spoiler: Followers of Chaos

"Not for you." Caius retorted, before clenching his fist in front of him, gathering his full strength together in order to face the Servant that stood before him.
After a few long moments, Caius's eyes took on a glowing crimson colour, which was shortly mirrored by the spot on his chest where his heart surely was. The intensity of the glow was insane. Just what could cause one's heart to glow in such a way that it could be seen through both flesh and attire?
Having apparently gathered his power together, Caius swung back his massive blade, which began to shimmer with a black-purple aura that looked as though it was made of liquid shadow, before he rushed at Mordred with a loud grunt, slamming the blade into his side harshly before the Servant had a chance to counterattack, knocking him to the ground with a single strike.
Following it up, he charged again, slamming the blade down towards Mordred with considerable force, only narrowly being dodged at the last moment, allowing him to counter, swinging his blade towards Caius, only for it to be caught by the Guardian's left hand, which suddenly began to clench around it and, much to all spectator's horror, began to crush it.
"I told you I would hold nothing back. Now, be prepared to taste death!" Caius spoke, raising his blade above his head and smashing it into Mordred, this time cleanly hitting the chestplate of the warrior, crushing it into his chest, and creating a horrible crunching sound that could have come from either metal or bone, or perhaps even both.
Satisfied that he had done enough for the time being, Caius released the blade in his hand, which fell to the ground in several pieces beside its defeated master.
"Perhaps you will survive that wound. Perhaps you will not." Caius mused to the fallen Servant, looking away from his crippled form. "Regardless of the outcome, know that if you challenge me a second time, I will not allow an ambiguous outcome."
Having finished his battle, Caius turned to M and Mephiles, his two subordinates in his plan, and spoke.
"Come. The one our plan requires is still nearby. Collect her, then join me at the Temporal Tower. We shall begin the end then."
With his orders finished, Caius vanished in a ball of darkness, leaving the two to their task.

~The Galleon~

"Patroklos Alexander." a voice spoke out, calling out the young man who had recently awoken.
Sure enough, in the corner of the room, stood a man with shock-white hair, and a blue coat that contrasted sharply with his black garments that he wore underneath. Only a short look at the man was enough to be sure that he was not a hero of any kind. Sakura especially did not like the feeling his presence gave her, and she wrapped her arms around herself as she watched quietly, pretending to still be asleep for the time being.

"I am not here to fight, but to deliver a message." he said, assuring everyone that was looking at him. "Believe me, if I wanted any of you dead, you would already be aware. No, instead, I've come to give you a warning."
Seeing that he had their attention, Vergil went on, focusing his stern gaze upon Patroklos.
"The girl you have with you is vital to Caius's plans. And as weak as you all are, none of you will be able to stop him from taking her. However, if you wish to truly stop him, there is one way."
Pacing along the deck, Vergil ensured that they were all listening to him before he went on.
"You must allow her to be taken for the time being. Then you must follow Caius to Temporal Tower, to the East of here. Once Caius's plan is set in motion, then you may be able to stop him. However..."
Vergil reached behind his coat and took ahold of something, bringing it out before everyone. It appeared to be a sword, short and wide-set, made almost entirely out of a blue crystalised substance.
"...you will need this."
He threw the short sword to Patroklos, who caught it with relative ease.
"This is Soul Calibur. You may have heard of it. With this blade, you may be able to fight Caius, but only once his plan has begun. Until then, you will have to allow his plan to progress. Rest assured that the girl will not be harmed during any of it."

Even after all of the attacks striking it, and the damage it had sustained piling up, the Dimensional Beast showed no sign of relenting, as it began to renew its charge towards the still-disabled Sandrock Kai, letting out a roar as it went.
Looking back in the Arios Gundam, having taken to the air as soon as the fight had begun, Allelujah recalled what had happened since he got here. The fight against Ribbon's group, injuring that girl (even though that was actually Hallelujah, he still felt as though it was his fault), and now this. It seemed like no matter where they went, he was doomed to run there.
But these people didn't treat Celestial Being like criminals. They treated them, even him, like an equal. And sure, they hadn't known each other long, but everyone seemed like good people, and there were even other Gundam Pilots. If he just ran away now...
Allelujah's eyes narrowed as he looked down at the events below, and he made a decision.
"Trans-Am!" he called, as the Arios Gundam once again became coated in orange particles, enhancing its overall performance as it launched towards the charging Rhino and drew its beam saber, slashing a line across the beast as it went by, before spinning upside-down and unleashing a barrage of shots from its beam rifle too, directly at the wound.
Roaring out again, the beast slowed ever so slightly, as Arios's wrists opened up to reveal a pair of mounted beam vulcans, which he also unleashed on the creature, the bullets exploding all around it.

"Everyone stand back!" Apollo's voice came over the comms as Vector Sol swooped down, rapidly followed by Luna and Mars, in a triangle formation.
"Amuro, call it!"
Amuro, having just reached the cockpit of the Sandrock where Quattre was, looked at his co-leader and nodded, starting up the systems just enough to enable the program.
"Program standing by. Do it, Apollo!" he said in return, as the three Vectors began to link with an electric energy.
"Alright, here we go!"
"Nenshin!"
"Gattai!"
"GO! AQUARION!"
The energy became more intense, and suddenly the three jets changed their shape, before locking together in the formation they had flown in, forming a large red mecha that dwarfed every other mecha in the area by tens of meters, being almost twice the height of Mazinkaiser SKL, which was otherwise the largest in the area.
"Solar Aquarion!" came Apollo's voice from the cockpit, as the just-named mecha impacted the ground feet-first, skidding for a few yards before punching the Dimensional Beast hard in the side, sending it sliding along the ground before facing then again and snorting like a bull.
"Apollo, here it comes!" Silvia warned from Vector Luna, which had formed the wings and back section of Aquarion in their union.

Spoiler: Absolutely essential music

"Let's go!" he responded simply, seemingly ignoring the warning. "We'll take this guy in a single blow!"
As the charging Rhino approached, Solar Aquarion's arm was brought back in preparation, the timing approaching, closer and closer, just as the Rhino did.
"KURAI!" Apollo roared, as the first came forward and collided with the Dimensional Beast's face with just the right timing. Suddenly, with no warning at all, the wings of the mecha spread wide and began to glow a faint golden, as Apollo called out once again;
"MUGEN PAAANCHI!" he yelled, and suddenly, in response to his call, the fist of the machine launched out on an extension, going further and further with the beast still on-hand. Faster and faster it went, turning upwards and beginning to reach for the sky, until neither hand nor beast could be seen in the skyline. Moments later, a shockwave could be seen coming from the moon's surface, confirming the strike. Solar Aquarion had just slammed the Dimensional Beast into the moon with a single punch.
Laughing shortly, Apollo, relaxed, beginning to retract the now-empty fist back, Aquarion mimicking the stance he took.
"That's that. Another Ultimate Lunar Surface Punch." he said quietly, as everyone else looked on.
Suddenly there was another rumbling in the ground, and before anyone could react, and equally-large Beast leapt from the ground behind Aquarion, baring massive claws that threatened to tear the entire mecha in half if they struck.
"Apollo get out of there!" Amuro called out, too late, as the claws closed in on their target. It was too close to be dodged now, and it looked as though Aquarion was going to be cut down before it had even been introduced to the team...

Before anyone could see what was happening, something else launched from the ground behind Aquarion and the beast, grabbing ahold of the creature and rising up with it, before stopping at the peak of their leap and finally becoming visible.
"GUNLEON! SUPER PRESS!" the pilot of the now-seen orange mecha, which rapidly descended with the beast trapped in the grip of a giant wrench-looking weapon, slamming it into the ground and kicking up a huge cloud of dust and disintegrated beast, before smacking it back down into the remains and twisting it, ensuring that the creature was truly destroyed.
"Yo there. Sorry to step in all unannounced." the pilot spoke, even as the form of the forty-meter tall mecha rose out of the crater it had formed. "We were just gonna wait until you were done and see if you needed any repairs, but y'know..."

~~Link and Friends (and the vaguely associated Archer)~~

Footsteps resounded at the front of the small cave, at first alerting everyone, but that soon went down upon the occupants realizing that it was merely Archer returning from having been scouting the area alone.
Looking around the 'room' and seeing everyone, new and old alike, he sighed.
"Is there anyone I can speak to whose name sounds like something other than the flavour of an exotic condom?" he said, looking at each of them almost hopefully. "I thought not. Very well... Twilight Sparkle, Master, I would like to speak with you and our group's leader about our next move."

After a minute or two, Link, Twilight Sparkle, and Archer were alone near the rear of the cavern, Link's situation having been explained to the Servant, or at least summarized, as he went on to explain what he had discovered.
"Increased as our numbers may have been, I can't help but notice that a fair amount of our group aren't combat-capable, or are at least untrained enough to be a... liability." he said, taking care not to offend his Master or her friends, as that was something he really didn't need to deal with right now.
"As it happens, I spotted what appears to be a small kingdom not too far from here. We could probably reach its borders on-foot within an hour. There may be people there that we can add to out group, at least temporarily, in order to increase our chances. It would seem like the best course of action we could take right now."
