Auditions ended at around 8PM, leaving Oliver exhausted and drained. Only around 20 or so people showed up, but it was still a good amount to sort through and his notes were plentiful. He leaned back in his chair and snuck a glance at Pierce.

All done, he smiled briefly, encouragingly, and then started to tuck his notes away. He hoped she didn't feel too overwhelmed about the decision making. Don't worry about it for tonight. We'll talk about it tomorrow. Just gather your thoughts.

With that decided, they went back to his car and he drove her home. He walked her to the door and gave her another thank you, and then hopped in his car and traveled back to his apartment.

Once there, he got something to eat, showered, studied and hopped into bed. A notice was posted on the student board saying the audition results would be posted there at a later time. He went to sleep after the post was made.

    How to Audition!!
    • It's first come first serve, so if you're going to post entering the room - let us know you're posting so no one clashes with each other.
    • Have your character introduce themselves, and start your audition. Feel free to link to a piece of music that your character will be playing / singing, blah.
    • Be as creative with your audition as you'd like. You only get that one post to prove you're band material!
    • Once you're done, leave the room and do whatever you'd like for the rest of the RP day.
    • When one person is done, the next one can come in - no need to wait for any prompting. Oliver and Pierce won't react unless something big happens, or it's over.

S - so um, a - are you looking forward to - to your audition?

His green eyes flickered over to Pierce and he smiled, noting her effort at making small talk. He took a small bite out of a cinnamon scone he had purchased and washed the thick pastry down with a sip of coffee.

I guess so. I'm interested to see how things play out, at least. After Torvald's email, he wasn't so sure. How many people would even show up? Despite the amount of views on his thread, there weren't too many replies .It'll be nice to have something to do aside from study.

Thanks again, for um, asking me ah. .. out Pierce looked down at her cup and Oliver blinked at her. Oh. It hadn't been his intention to give off a 'date' vibe, but he didn't really mind it being considered one. He and Mary still weren't talking like they had been before, and it was nice hanging out with Pierce ... sometimes.

Hey, thank you for coming. It'll really help to have someone else around. Have you ever been on an audition panel before?

    N-no problem. No. I haven't ... I don't know much help I'll really be ...

    You'll be fine.

There was a moment of slightly awkward silence between them.

You um, look r - really um, nice ...

He smiled into a sip of his coffee and nearly spit it out with a chuckle, holding a hand over his mouth and lifting his gaze back at Pierce. That's my line! It was playful but half honest. He was a bit embarrassed about it and covered it up with a bite of scone and a mumbled 'thank you, you too'.

    - lazy time skip 2PM -

After a bit more chatting, they were off to Studio Z. Just as Tucker had said, the audition space was set up perfectly for them and ready to go. There was a small stage, and the audition panel was set up with a two microphones. It made him feel ridiculously professional, which also made him a little nervous. He wasn't exactly qualified to judge anyone, which is why he thought Pierce would be helpful. It would still be hard to reject anyone.

He took a seat and placed a half full coffee cup on the table, opening his briefcase and pulling out two notepads and some pens and pencils for them both.

Alright, we'll let everyone play or sing their full piece - no cutting anyone off. Write your thoughts down on each person and we'll discuss it afterwards, alright?

Once everything was agreed to, he called the first person in.

Oliver was up bright and early ... unfortunately. That party had really left him exhausted. He took a shower, combed through his hair, ate what he considered to be a decent breakfast and prepared his briefcase for auditions. If it weren't for a few courses in Fortissimo, he would probably have no idea how to go about the whole thing. Luckily, part of his education was actually coming in handy.

He was in the middle of placing the briefcase in the backseat of his car when his phone buzzed with a text message.

    From: Tucker
Studio Z is set up and ready for your
auditions today! Best of luck, I hope
you find the talent you're looking for.
If you need any more help, just give
    me a call.

    To: Tucker
Thanks, man! Appreciate it a lot.

He also had an email sitting in his inbox from Torvald, the lead male of The Girl in Watercolors. He seemed the eccentric type, so Oliver wasn't exactly surprised by his inquiry. He buckled himself into the driver's seat and started the car up before typing a reply.

    From: Torvald Tannhauser
The implication feels that your band may very well be rock focused. I ask you (under the light of revolutions in music) of the possibility of wishing to consider a trumpet in your ensemble.

    To: Torvald Tannhauser
I'm not sure about incorporating a trumpet into every piece of music, honestly.
I don't have one set genre in mind, but someone who is solely a trumpet player is unlikely to get a permanent spot.

With that out of the way, he called Pierce and asked her if she was ready. Eventually, she gave him her address and he was off to pick her up.

He met her at the door and they exchanged some kind of greeting. Once she was ready, they left the house and set off for a small cafe near the studio for some coffee.

Alright, this next day has something planned for anyone who wants to be involved. You just need to go to Studio Z and wait until auditions start, which is 2pm. The day can start at 12pm instead of just waking up ... unless you slept until then, which is fine.

    • You do not have to audition for the band.
    • Not everyone who auditions will get in, depending.
    • A pro to being apart of the band is it give you something to do on off days and everyone in the band will probably bond and have extended interactions. If the band gets 'big' anyone not involved in it will - obviously - not be involved in any traveling or performing situations, you'll be sitting it out or doing something else.
    • A con is that when the band has practices, you need to be active and involved. Practices won't last all day so it won't be like ... get four days to attend a band practice. <:

"I could go for a sandwich or something. If you give me a minute to change then I'll help you make them."

    "Alright, cool."

They both changed into something more comfortable and headed to the kitchen. Noelle was busy gathering sandwich things, but turned around when Maria spoke again.

"These are good. Did your mom make them?"

"Oh, uh, no. Bryan and I made them when we left Sophie's party. Glad you like them!" She would be lying if she said she didn't feel a bit possessive of the baked goods, but with her mom and Joey eating them as well she couldn't really complain. They'd be gone soon, but she'd always have that picture she took!

They returned to her room with their snack, sitting on the bed to eat. Noelle had her computer monitor turned towards them with some random show playing just to ease any awkward silences.

"So where's Bryan? I thought he would have been here.."

Noelle chewed slowly on her last bite before answering with a bit of sadness. "He's in his room upstairs, probably. I think he's sick."

She sighed and stood up, gathering their dishes and dropping them off in the kitchen before returning to her room with some extra pillows and blankets.

"We can share the bed, or I can take the floor." She smiled and placed the pillows in Maria's lap.

Eventually they decided to share the bed and Noelle went to sleep.

    WEATHERCLOUDY, COLD 34°! ✖『DATE & TIME』 12/27/2015 - ???AM ✖『DAY』 07

That Joey guy right?. Maria smiled at her and she returned it bashfully. It's nice to know you have your big brother to support you.

Mhm! If she hadn't had her sights set on the smoothie stand at that point, she might have responded a bit too enthusiastically. Her heart was swelling at the thought of Bryan returning to her. Of them being together, and working through it all ... though he had slowly begun to retreat back into their distance. What about you? Your ... Relationship?

Well ... I'm not sure, Maria sipped on the straw for a minute and swallowed down the smoothie. I think there's something between Tucker and I, but it's hard to say. He's got some childhood trauma that's making any attempt at moving forward virtually impossible. I'm just not sure what to do...

Noëlle frowned. Tucker? ... Sorry to hear that. In those situations I think it's best to take things slow ... don't give up. If it's meant to work out, it will. And ... Well, hey, you're a talented and beautiful young lady! Anyone would be lucky to have you, even if it doesn't work out the way you'd like.

She knew what unrequited love felt like, but not so much because of ... trauma. She felt for Maria and hoped it all worked out.

Hey ... Do you want to come over tonight?

AND SO IT WAS that after some more time giggling about the mall and doing some girl bonding, they went back to Noëlle's place. Ms. Chambers was just heading out the door and greeted them both, commending Maria on her spectacular performance in the Girl in Watercolors.

Once they settled in, Noëlle got them some drinks and gave Maria something to wear.

Hey, feel free to use the shower. she offered, sitting down on the edge of her bed. ... Are you hungry or anything?

They took their picture and she immediately asked the blonde to send it to her phone. The wallpaper of a hipster looking sunset was replaced with the image. Somewhere in Bryan's abandonment, she had removed the picture of the sibilings as children and replaced it impulsively.

Noëlle was definitely going to reject the paying offer but Maria wasn't having it. She left the store with a mask; silver and shimmering with two heart shaped strawberry colored gems on either side of the mask.

They moved forward and talked casually about things before Maria spoke again, asking her about her family things. Of course it was all out of friendliness but Noelle wished she wouldn't ask her things when it came to Bryan. She thought about what to say before finally responding.

"I think my mom is thinking about getting remarried," she murmured honestly, though that wasn't all that was weighing on her mind. She hadnt even brought it up to Bryan yet! "I've been feeling a bit uncomfortable with the idea. I lovemy mom, and the guy she's getting close to is a family friend and really great, but ... My dad wasn't the best and I guess the thought of an authoritative male in the house again is really nerve wracking. Brings a lot of unpleasant memories to mind, haha. Bryan doesn't know ... But he's been here a lot for me, lately, and it feels nice to have that support."

She sighed and stopped them in front of a smoothie stand, refusing to take no for an answer and treating herself and Maria to a treat.

    They resumed their mall adventures.

"What about you? Your ... Relationship?"

    WEATHERCLOUDY, COLD 34°! ✖『DATE & TIME』 12/27/2015 - ???AM ✖『DAY』 07

I've been ... I've been pretty good. I've been rather distracted sorting out some weird relationship stuff. What about you? You look different.

Different ... ? Noëlle didn't really know what that meant, or how to feel about it. It made her a little flustered, really ... Was it that obvious that something had happened? I've been good, lately. Just some family stuff getting sorted out.

    What an understatement!

Maria wrapped her hand around her wrist and pulled her along. They weaved through crowds of people and continued forward until they reached a rather fantastical looking shop with all sorts of glittery and festive things on display. Maria pulled them over to a rack of masks.

I'm having a New Year's party at my parent's house -- they're gone for the holiday -- and these masks make me want to turn it into a themed party now. She plucked a sequin covered navy blue one with velvet rope trim along the edges and a black feather sticking off the side from the wall. Noëlle smiled.

I say go for it, A party! It sounded fun at first, but then she remembered Sophie's party and her misery there and it sounded a little less appealing. It sounds interesting.

Maria handed her a mask and she blinked, surprised.

    Try it on.

She took the mask, feeling a bit silly, and fastened it on over her head. Her nose tickled underneath it and she had to adjust it before falling into a giggling fit. Maria was finding a mask for herself in the meantime. Noëlle settled her eyes on a sparkling emerald green mask sitting on the rack and wondered what Bryan would look like in it. She imagined it and then stifled a laugh. He would look better, she thought, with something a little less ~ colorful ~. Something more mysterious - even if that didn't suit him at all.

    From Maria:
    Aha. Yeah just a sec.
    I see you now.

It wasn't long after receiving the text that Maria could be spotted walking towards her table. Noëlle tucked her phone away into her purse and swiveled around fully in her seat to face the blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl.

Hey there, Maria set her purse on the floor between her feet and smiled. You didn't wait long did you?

Not at all! Noëlle answered, a bit too hastily. Her cheeks flooded with warmth and she cleared her throat, willing herself to calm down. Maria wasn't a stranger or anything, why was she so nervous? ... If she were honest with herself, it was probably mostly due to the events of the other night. The ones involving Cupid's Brew ... Bryan wasn't talking to her and the entire situation was just a mess. It was her fault and she felt guilty.

Wanna walk around? She asked Maria, anxiously but conspicuously tapping her heel against the tiles beneath them.

They stood and began to walk down the long, busy corridors of the mall. She didn't particularly have much cash on her. Just what Bryan had given her for Christmas. There was nothing that was particularly eye catching to her so far, either. Why had she suggested the mall, again? Aaaah!

Well, she hadn't come here for as shopping spree. It was to spend time with Maria!

    How have you been?

    From Maria:
    Hey! We haven't done anything
in some time. We should get
    together soon. Maybe check
    out Oliver's band thing or
    something? Let me know.

    To Maria:
    Band thing?
Hanging out sounds fun!! Maybe we can go to the mall?

The details were sorted out between them and it was settled! They would be meeting each other at the nearby mall for some quality girl time ... or something. Noëlle wasn't exactly sure ... it wasn't that she disliked Maria or anything, but their friendship had kind of fallen into oblivion after two years ago ... She was excited to be seeing her again, but she didn't really want to leave Bryan, if she were honest!

They hadn't spoken to each other since Christmas night, which worried her, of course. She chalked it up to either hating her or not feeling well, and left a brief 'I'm sorry' note slid under his bedroom door before leaving for the day.

A bus was taken straight to the mall and once she got there, she settled down in the foodcourt and pulled out her cell phone again.

    To Maria:
You here yet? I'm in the food court next to the WacDonalds.
