By playing the game on one screen you are missing out on the ENTIRE reason the game is the game. As stated above, the partner function of the game has been reduced to just being a single touch of a button

Not according to the Japanese. I'm actually kind of glad that the XIII games and XIV have been doing poorly in Japan. Perhaps it'll teach Square that Final Fantasy isn't the behemoth it used to be anymore and stop milking the damn thing. Of course there just gonna move on to Dragon Quest which consistently dominates the Japanese market but atleast those games are range from average to good.
You're just gonna make more stars as soon as I barely manage to get past that opening up there.
