Unless others are experiencing this problem it's on your end. Have you checked other browsers for similar behavior?
The charms bar? it only appears if you keep your mouse there for a while or swipe. I have two monitors and never have an issue moving between them and having the charms bar come up. It can probably be disabled or its behavior changed but i've never tried.
I know two guys who have worked loading trucks at FedEx. One is supported and bought such gifts by his parents, but needs money for school and such. Another is supported by his parents and is $20k in debt. Just because someone isn't walking around in rags and therefore doesn't meet your expectation of a person applying for a job at FedEx doesn't mean anything, you have NO idea what their financial situation is. Not only that but loading the trucks at FedEx is an early morning job (like 4am to 9am or something) -- it's very possible that guy has a fulltime day job and is looking for something to help make ends meet.
I have a laptop and use a wireless mouse for it almost exclusively. I don't have any usability problems. You do have to adjust to some things but the improvements are worth it and now that I've given the start screen a chance I love it and wouldn't go back to a start menu. Most of the people who ***** about W8 just didn't take the time to learn a few new things.
qft I don't hire ppl who are overqualified though. gimme those fresh high school kids looking to get their first job
Aw dude build it yourself, way more fun that way. Don't listen to what anyone tells you, Windows 8 is basically a service pack to Windows 7 with some really nice improvements. Also ninite.com will save you a few hours.
Even an Intel build with an i3 can be had for a couple hundred bucks. That's a decent chunk of money for students and all but still reasonable imo

Oh totally, I wouldn't want to get rid of my laptop. I had a desktop a few years back but since I was commuting to college I wanted a laptop I could take around with me. But I'd like to get into PC gaming & be able to do some more intensive stuff that my laptop can't handle.
Shameless plug time! Our last episode of the podcast was really great, we talked about gaming culture, the term gamer, and women's place with both. Nova was our wonderful guest and I would love it if some of y'all gave a listen & left some comments! Episode #56: What It Means to Be a Gamer We're also always looking for questions, guests, and topic submissions so please feel free to put some in!
I would reaaaally love to build myself a desktop but I sadly have some financial obligations preventing me. Tired of the laptop life. My desk isn't terribly large and I loooove it. IKEA has a lot of options if there's one near you.
Your issues seem limited to your email provider and since it's an uncommon one, they seem to be only affecting you. As far as I'm aware, all other emails are working properly.
Awesome, that means hotmail lifted the ban. Thanks for reporting back.
@Mako keep an eye on your emails over the next day or two, let me know if/when they start working again. For hotmail users, same warning applies -- you should consider changing your email -- but we will hopefully be un-blacklisted.
Flashlight by The Front Bottoms When I am sad, I am sad, but when I am happy, oh god I am happy, and there's just no place in between for us to be.
WHAT A NERD says the person waiting for her star wars action figure to come in the mail No but for real I know how long you've been looking for one of these so very exciting~
I don't believe people "are bad," but rather, that some people do bad things (as in, breaking the law since that seems to be what you're talking about here). Minor point but the wording of the title bothers me... Anyway, crime is tricky. I point out the wording of the title because it's not as though some people plop out of the womb thieves and criminals, and we shouldn't dehumanize those who commit crimes by refusing to recognize the events leading up to the crime. Some fell in with the wrong people, were looking for the thrill, were unsuccessful financially and felt they had no other choice, had troubled childhoods, and so on. We can't attach one reason to cover the entire population of people who commit crimes. It varies, like everyone else has said.
Nah Mike doesn't live in the city. Funny story, I almost moved to the exact town he lives in a few years ago, before I knew he lived there.
ngl, it feels wrong for me to name my character misty within the pokemon universe. plus i still need to buy a 3ds lol
