As someone who's been on the verge of getting kicked out, I can tell you. If you have no job, very little money, and a lot of health problems that I won't go into here, getting kicked out by your parents can be the last straw. If my mother had actually gone through with it and kicked me out, she would never see me again (and I would likely just go live with my father anyway). Getting kicked out is basically saying 'we don't love you anymore, and we no longer want you around'. Luckily, some stuff happened for me that meant I didn't get kicked out, but that's a different story. I would have moved out years ago, honestly, if I was able, but I am physically incapable of living on my own right now. Anyway, to the point, while it's true that we don't know the whole story in terms of money and such, kicking your kid out can be awful for everyone involved. Obviously no one -wants- to live with their parents forever, and there -are- situations where someone might be shoved out of their parents house, but it seems to me that, in this situation, kicking HoT out is probably not the best course of action.
