This song is like in every movie trailer. I like the emotion Tale!
Awesome! Rock on Mish!
For me, I'm sort of the same way. Objectively, I don't find the voice all that annoying. But it's what kind of character that comes with the voice, and for that voice, it's some moe-blob that the producers want to sell on the hard core otaku (I mean this in the Japanese sense) by selling her body on figma, body pillows, etc. There are few of these moe blob characters that are tolerable and help out the story, and even then, they can't escape the trap of being seen as such. And it's such a Japanese thing, that you can't really find good voice actresses to play these characters. Monica Rial and Stephine Sheh are the two that come closest in playing them well, but they are casted as them so much, it just adds to the trope.
Right, and I don't multitask when I'm watching something subtitled. For me, that needs full attention. I feel that if I look away for a second, I miss a lot.
Or people who just like to eat.
I think when it comes to reading subtitles, it comes with practice. When I began to watch subbed animes, I was the same way. I feel that once you're used to it and you watch subbed anime on a semi regular basis, it becomes second nature. Yeah. I still have a bit of a rough time eating and watching subbed anime.
I mean, I can sort of get that. Usually, when I'm watching stuff, I'm multitasking. The only time I ever really focus on a screen, it's when I'm at the movie theater. So, yeah, when I'm watching subtitled, I have to focus purely on what's going on there. Luckily, the Playstation is hooked up to the big screen, so I can stream Crunchyroll and watch it there instead of a small screen.
I don't necessarily think she's insulting people who like English dubs, she just doesn't like the product. Which is fair. Everyone has a preference.
Have you ever watched A Nightmare on Elm Street?
Because I have yet to see those shows, but I am interested in Baccano. Can't say something is good or bad if I haven't seen it.
I'm just someone who likes English dubs. However, I have noticed that a lot of the better dubs have a strong western feeling to them. Things like Attack on Titan, Romeo x Juliet, and Fullmetal Alechemist have their stories influced by western culture, so it would make sense that an English dub would feel a lot more natural.
1. I was trolling you with my second question. 2. Oh, I see how it is.
Just sent mine in!
I thought I heard earlier that they were going to make an anime adaption of The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-Chan; maybe that's it?
I think no one really just asks straight forward questions on the internet anymore because you can just look it up. I mean, whenever I'm trying to make sense out of something, I usually go straight to Google and look for answers there. In that sense, it can be a little bit jaring when people ask questions that can just easily be answered by doing a minimal amount of research. Like a few months ago, one of my cousins sent me a question through Facebook asking if Frozen was released on DVD yet. Now, I'm a huge fan of Frozen, but my family also knows that I'm the person to ask when it comes to questions on movies. Still, I found it a bit annoying that I had to double check by doing a Google search and send her the release date when she probably could've looked it up herself.
To those here who have served, or have family members who served, thank you. I may not always agree with what the government does, but I always respect someone who decides to serve. My grandfather served in the Korean War. My dad is enjoying his first year of retirement after 21 years. I have a cousin who served a tour in Iraq a few years back. My younger brother is leaving for basic training next week.

Might hit you up on that. Been meaning to chat with ya anyway
I say "Niel Patrick Harris dammit!" because he is the next best thing after God.
I'm not a fan of Beyonce. Have you seen that SNL skit with Andrew Garfield; that's basically how people react to me whenever I say that. To me, she has a nice voice, but it all just feels generic. I also don't like a lot of stuff that plays on the "pop hits" radio stations. Talk Dirty. Stuff by One Direction. Anything by Justin Bieber or those who came after him to be like him. All of it is basically the same thing. Yeah, the music playing in the background may be catchy, but I need something more than that for me to get interested in a song. Probably the only song that I genuinely like that's been on the radio for the past year is "Get Lucky", which is generally a good song. It has a good beat, the lyrics aren't just filler, and there's some soul (pun not intended) put into the song. I'll use Wrecking Ball as an example of what I mean by soul. I like Wrecking Ball; I like the lyrics and everything about it...except Miley Cyrus. Now, she has good pitch, but she doesn't not have any emotional depth. Wrecking Ball is this deep and serious song about the pitfalls of loving someone who is closed off, but Cyrus just sings it so dead pan that it loses all meaning when she sings it. Another is that I like Linkin Park. Like, I legitimately like that band. I know that they sound like generic "white boy rock" but there are some songs that really hit me in a good place. I'm looking forward to their next release.
