Hello everyone and welcome to a new episode of the KH-Vids Podcast! This week your usual hosts -- @Misty, @Llave, and @libregkd -- are joined by one of the recipients of the Most Wanted Podcast Guest Award, @Princess ♥, for a discussion on some of the recent announcements for Twitch.TV.

The popular streaming service is in the process of being purchased by Google's YouTube division, leaving many users in a panic after some of the unwelcome changes that Google made to YouTube after their purchase in 2006. With a new flood of emails about changes to the VOD storage system and copyright matching for audio in VODs, many Twitch users are now calling this the end-of-days for Twitch. We explain all the changes announced, what they mean for Twitch's future, and what streaming services we would like to try in the future.

Finally, we answer a user-submitted question from @Graxe and go over some site and community news, including our new Fundraising Nights.

Please enjoy the episode, send us a question, leave us a comment, and submit to be a guest on the KH-Vids Podcast!

We are in the process of updating our Cutscene Archive pages to the new format (seen here). It's quite a bit of work as we are taking new screenshots for each video and uploading them to our paid Mediafire account, so given the sheer size of the archive, many of the pages still remain in the old format. We're also going to be replacing some of our pages soon with the updated videos from the HD Remix. What you're seeing is just a work in progress.

Because we expect to receive questions on how to use the forum, we want this section to be easy to post in. Mandatory prefixes may confuse users who are unfamiliar with how to select a prefix or which prefix to use, and it's really very little work for the staff to apply them to the threads.

seconded. I would say we need a dedicated pc building thread but I'm pretty sure it would just end in pretty pics from you and Lux and me crying about my bank account

I probably could swing a budget system in the next few months but I could also wait a while and do something pretty and better...

The whole FPS deal... 60fps does make a difference but it's not the only measure of quality, which is what I think SJ was getting at. There was some outrage when The Order 1886 (lol misty shut up about this damn game (i will never)) was revealed as being 30fps but I felt the devs gave pretty good reason for it.
    http://www.vg247.com/2014/05/29/the-order-1886-ps4-60fps-why-it-has-to-run-at-30/

Now of course if the game wasn't a PS4 exclusive they could perhaps have it play at 60fps on high-end PCs, but at least they're being realistic for the console they're developing for... and the overall point that 30fps can be done beautifully if they're pushing other parts of the visuals is pretty sound.

I'm actually quite excited / interested in this! I have yet to play Remember Me (not out of a lack of interest -- it caught my eye with early trailers and such but its mediocre reception put me off a bit), but the look of this game already has me pulled in. The light especially looks really impressive. The concept is intriguing and I'm of course drawn to it for having female main characters. I've never played an episodic game but I suppose there will be a first time for everything.

I can't claim the sort of audio & musical skill that Laplace has, but I am really enjoying your KH-themed stuff! Will definitely have a look at the original stuff as well. You're a lovely guitar player, I do agree with Laplace that the vocals aren't quite on par with some of your instrumentation, but that will definitely improve as your grow more confident in your voice and singing in general. With All That I Am def has some Dylan to it, heh.

This obviously won't make it into the finished version, but I felt it was too good to let it wither away in the depths of my hard drive.

Same. I've been sad about celeb deaths before but not quite like this. An absolute monument of I think most people's childhood. Incredibly sad to hear.

Whatsapp was alright when I used it.
I use Hangouts as my SMS app, I'm pretty sure it can be used as a messaging app.
I use GroupMe for work, not my choice but it does let people with dumbphones / without the app to still receive the group messages (albeit with some limited functionality).
Facebook Messenger is nice because everyone has a Facebook but also not everyone has Facebook.

Suppose the easiest explanation there is that he wasn't human and therefore may not biologically function the same as us.
Not exactly. The entire idea of "canon" in Star Wars is already shady because there are multiple levels of canon. The most reliable is the movies of course, and because this particular issue is shown in the movies and expanded upon in the novels, it's somewhere near movie level canon, which Disney hasn't thrown out. Furthermore, my understanding of Disney's announcements regarding the EU are simply that they are going to pick and choose what they deem canon; it's highly likely that the new movies will be based upon the EU, with changes, therefore making some parts of the EU canon indeed.

Basically just don't ever bring up canon in a conversation about Star Wars because nobody has a ****ing clue, not even Lucas. It's basically just "whatever the **** I want to do and can find some minor support for in the EU or the movies."

Based on information in the novels and EU, certain Jedi disappear upon death (rather than receiving flesh wounds) because they are becoming One with the Force; it is those Jedi who can later reappear as Force Ghosts. It's of course a very mysterious technique that requires an extremely powerful Jedi, hence why Obi-Wan disappears whereas Luke's arm is simply chopped off (though Luke's injury also wasn't fatal).

Nope, it's our office... thermostats are typically in easily accessible places (i.e. not the boiler room) and the knob to the right is the timer for the marquee.

Neither? We don't have a basement and I don't really hang out in the boiler room lol.

If you used a lightsaber to cut off the limb, the wound would be instantly cauterized and wouldn't bleed.
