Opps. Sorry, I forgot about this one. Hmm...I would try to disarm them of the more dangerous weapon, take it, and probably...run away. I dunno. It's a rather odd question.[DOUBLEPOST=1404756369][/DOUBLEPOST] Truth. Truth or dare?
I went into the first episode of SAO2 with medium to low expectations. While I find the premise of this season very interesting, I know not to trust SAO on premise alone. Fool me once, shame on you and all that. However, I was surprised by the lack of big action sequences. Maybe there will be more emphasis on story, but I highly doubt it. I definitely like all the stuff that isn't revolving around the returning cast. Slightly hyped, but I know what I'm in for. I just need something to keep me occupied as I wait for Log Horizon Season Two.
Summer Wars The Girl Who Leapt Through Time Both by Mamoru Hosoda Both are beautifly animated films. Summer Wars is a good family film, as in it says something deep about family, while Girl is a fun scifi story that takes liberties with time travel. Personally, I like Girl more, but I have almost all of Summer Wars memorized. The director of the films also did Digimon: Our War Fame, which is why a lot of the plot is very similar, but the two films are vastly different.
Every time I watch it, all I can think of is it being a lesser and somehow douchier version of Tosh.0. It's like the bad morning show hosts on hip hop stations trying to be funny but they don't know how.
Now finally something for fun (mostly)! In preparing for the A capella challenge for this coming Karaoke Night, I decided to test out some editing skills a well as what I could do with a song if I didn't have the musical track. What you get is this version of Crossing Field by LiSA (Sword Art Online opening 1), with English lyrics by Amanda Lee. Link I make it no secret I’m not a huge fan of Sword Art Online, but I can honestly say that it has some kick ass music. Crossing Field is always a fun song to listen to, but it’s alo fun to pick apart lyrically. So, I slowed the tempo down a tad, trying to keep a much of the rhythm as possible, as well as try a lot of new things. Please enjoy!
Sorry it's a bit late, but can I change mine to God Knows by Aya Hirano (although I'm doing the Bandai dub lyrics)?
We blew up fireworks at my house, and I am a certified non-professional. Got burnt a couple times, but wasn't something I couldn't shake off. Some of them fell over on their side as well, which made it even more exciting. Definitely some of the best fun I've had in years. Actively blowing up stuff is more fun than just watching.
I actually have a movie idea that I've been developing that I fell in love with. Its about this guy who is in college and is criticized by his parents about not being an "adult" because he likes anime. He then adopts a young girl because her parents passed away in an accident, and he is her God Father, making him her legal guardian. He tries to parent like his parents did, which doesn't work well, but once he tried his own method mixed with the old method, they have a strong bond. It's basically a movie of what it really means to be an adult; it's more than a classic sense of maturity. The Credit song would probably be The Older I Get by Skillet. Truth Truth or dare?
Obviously, it's Jayn and her singing. But it's such a cliche at this point, I won't say that. I would say your singing, Tales. You dwell within the lyrics of the songs you sing, which I really appreciate with a performer., and it seems your a perfectionist with that kind of stuff. For your truth: how old were you when you chose your faith? What I mean by this is when did it stop being the faith your parents (this is an assumption, as that's how it usually starts for most people) followed and one you chose to personally follow?
Okay. It would probably be Dinny. And for your truth: if you could know every single thought of a single human being (historical figures count), who would it be? I'll take truth Truth or dare?
I'm actually in a relationship right now, so could I get a different dare? What is your proudest moment in life? Truth or dare?
Got new glasses Spoiler
It's mostly whenever I get a new book, but sometimes with movies as well, I get one that's in the very back of the row. That's the one that's had the least amount of tampering.
I'M NOT PROUD OF IT GOD DAMMIT!
Sometimes characters are just there to act as a device. That goes into a lot of basic storytelling. A good writer will have that character evolve into something more. But this is Sword Art Online, where you just have to be happy with mediocre story telling. And I don't see it sexist at all. I believe she explains that she's new in all of this, so she doesn't know what to do. And yes, all those people died, but they're not an impact because it wasn't anything that was personal. In order for him to grasp the magnitude, it had to be someone he was close to, who he had a personal connection with. Many stories have done this in the past to wake the hero up and realize that there's more at stake that what they first believed. He needed to go through a loss of innocence. Why the hell am I defending this show?!
Up next is my cover up...Saint Jimmy from American Idiot! Link I first heard this song when it was featured in Broadway Idiot; I didn’t grow up on Green Day, but I recognized a lot of the music that was used in the show. This was definitely my favorite song out of all of them simply because it was a piece that allowed you to go crazy and have no limits. This is also one where I made conscious changes from the material. They’re small, like changing “leader” to “pastor” at the end, but I feel it adds a bit of an impact. I hope you enjoy!
I think he was asking more of the artistic, moral reason why she died. I mean, he goes through all that emotional trauma after her death, but in the next episode, it's like it never affected him. If he was just going back to normal, why was she so important in the first place. With all my complaints about it, this was actually my favorite episode. He needed to have someone important to him die for him to truly understand the stakes of this world, that this world isn't fair. And I think there is a reason why he goes back to normal; it's because of the letter he receives from her on Christmas. She doesn't want him to mourn, she wants him to live and be happy, because that's what gave her and others hope for the future. And it does affect him in more episodes. I rewatched the series simply because I had a friend who was in the dub, and I wanted to support them. At least from what I saw watching it a second time and dubbed, I could tell that a lot of his choices were about preserving life, and that he saw Sochie in just about everybody. I still think it's just an okay series, nothing all that great, but I really appreciate small things like that.
I'll take a dare. Truth or dare?
Bigass Cockroach is the name of my Indy rock band.
