Cue weird, inconsistent hiatus. Not feeling well. Will update The Spellbook when I can.
I've been kind of out of commission for the past few weeks. KHVC, figuring out this whole Admin thing, this year's Halloween game, planning a trip that's kind of cray cray [ violently nudges hyuge and synk into the ocean ;) ] and carpal tunnel deciding to ruin my life and leave me halfway bedridden for a couple of days and uh RPing has been kind of like not at the top of my list. I still have that big post ready but I need to find some time to really dedicate to getting it done. I posted tonight because it's my deadline and I don't really have anything of value to post other than the big post I can't really write atm so lol recap on Oliver's night?? I'll see where I am tomorrow but I wanted to update y'all so you know I'm not just being a lazy face or disinterested. I'm going to take some time over the next few days to really train my speech recognition to give my wrists a break but still be able to write things for more than like 30 minutes before I can't move my fingers anymore herp. Oliver had a super fun time at Pierce's, for the most part. The kiss had been great but also kind of awkward. He knew he couldn't seal the deal with Pierce if he was technically still with Mary. Yeah, he could be scum sometimes, but he wasn't THAT scummy - right? ... Not that kissing Pierce in the first place was any indication of that decency. He went home that night and kind of chilled out, taking it easy and trying to decide what exactly had wanted to do about this somewhat complicated situation. Aah, why were things so hard? Finally he hopped into bed and uh went to sleep.

SPELL TIME REMAINING - 1: 52 ] Heeding Fearless' request, Nova leans over the Spellbook, wondering if there are any directions or guides as to how to actually manifest things. When he finds nothing, he shrugs and holds his hands out in front of him, closing his eyes and taking a deep, steadying breath. You shake your head, thinking about how ridiculous this all is. He looks like he's really concentrating. Suddenly the lights flicker and ... CRASH! You jump and squeak in surprise. A couple of others are much more vocal about their shock and you glare over at Saxima, the source of one scream [ and a following string of profanities ] and then at Janime, the second source. 《 PHOENIX: Ugh, what was that ... ? 》 《 PSYCHEDELIC: Holy ****, the table! 》 You whip around, locking your eyes on the coffee table and gaping. The table is cracked down the middle and broken in. The candles, coasters, magazines and discarded drinks that were once littered upon the piece of furniture are all fallen to the rug with the Spellbook lying closed in between the two halves of broken wood. Mish timidly reaches out to grab the book but flinches and retracts her hand. 《 MISH: Ow. It's hot! 》 Psychedelic and Nova move in closer, eyes wide. Roxam, TwilightBlader, Saxima and Phoenix stand on the outskirts of the living room, clearly in the process of retreating. You take a deep breath, trying to rationalize and keep calm. But your TABLE!! It's not even YOUR table it's your PARENTS' ... How are you supposed to explain this? No, someone definitely owed you a new table. You kneel down and reach out for the Spellbook, despite Mish's warning. It's hot, but seems to be cooling. Once you carefully pry it out of it's little broken-table-nest, you find something underneath it. A copy of Ducktales Remastered. 《 NOVA: ... It worked! 》 Your head is spinning and you feel nauseous. Are they pulling some kind of a prank on you? No ... It couldn't be that, too elaborate and everyone here was lazy [ excluding you of course ] ... You're about to bark some orders about cleaning up the mess that's been made and going home when the lights flicker again and the living room begins to tremble. A few of those standing topple over with the earthquake [?] and you cling to the loveseat behind you to keep yourself grounded. A low, sinister laughter joins the rattling of your mother's china cabinet and the shifting of furniture as the Spellbook opens on it's own from it's place on your rug. You flinch, taking a clumsy step back as the old pages begin to turn, slowly at first, and then quickly in a blur. The laughter ends abruptly and is replaced by a whispery, distorted voice. 《 ???: ＮＥＶＥＲ ＬＥＡＶＥ Ａ ＳＰＥＬＬ ＵＮＦＩＮＩＳＨＥＤ． ＩＴ'Ｓ ＩＮＣＯＮＳＩＤＥＲＡＴＥ ＡＮＤ Ａ ＷＡＳＴＥ ＯＦ ＭＹ ＴＩＭＥ ．．． Ｉ ＲＥＱＵＩＲＥ ＴＨＥ ＢＬＯＯＤ ＯＦ ＴＨＥ ＰＲＥＶＩＯＵＳ ＶＥＳＳＥＬ．．． Ｉ'ＬＬ ＢＥ ＴＡＫＩＮＧ ＴＨＡＴ ＮＯＷ， Ｉ ＨＯＰＥ ＹＯＵ ＤＯＮ'Ｔ ＭＩＮＤ． 》 The Spellbook glows and flips to a blank page where it stays open. This can't really be happening! 《 SAXIMA: Oh, crap, Roxam! 》 《 ROXAM: ... Noo! Aaaaah!! 》 You turn around to see TwilightBlader, Saxima, and Phoenix holding onto Roxam's arms. His body is levitating and he seems to be being tugged towards the Spellbook! You move closer to help, but it's too late! Oh noooo! Roxam is yanked away. He hits the ground and claws into the floorboards, trying desperately to find something to cling to. Despite your best efforts, he's dragged along the floor and right past you, further and further until he seems to be literally taken into the glowing Spellbook. ［］Go after him!! ［］Run outside!! ［］Push Nova and Pyschedilic in!! ［］Cry!! ［］Close the book!!

I really wanted to take a break because I'm kind of busy this month BUT then I realized 'wow Halloween is coming up I don't have time to take a break ahaha. ' And so after this KN, KN will take like a two week break so I can work on some other stuff [ like finishing Fresh Prince ]. As always, tell me what achievements you need if you need any from last time. Since this KN is a theme, you can pick whatever song you want as long as it fits. Remember to include the instrumental to whatever song you're going to sing in your signing up post. If the list gets full, I'll expand it.

Instead, he shrugs in the end and scoots closer to the coffee table. 《 NOVA: Yeah, sure. 》 Mish seems displeased at having to perform the ritual again, but opens the Spellbook once more and clears her throat. Roxam takes the MLP ring off and slides it back down around the middle candle. 《 MISH: Take two! Wiggly, woggly, waggly goo, Spirit of Desire, I'm channeling you. Please grant me the power that I really need, And for this great power, I'll certainly bleed ... Give me this power, if you find it fair, to manifest objects straight out of thin air. 》 Nova touches a corner of a new piece of paper to the flame of the center candle. This time, the burning of the stationary is followed by a drop of blood from Nova's finger. You look away as he pricks it, hovering right above the center candle and allowing the crimson drop it to douse the flame. Almost instantly, all three candles blow out and the room is filled with darkness. You feel a bit nervous, but are comforted by the sounds of your guests shifting around and wondering what happened. At least you're not alone. 《 YOU: ... Uh. Okay, well ... 》 You stand, using your flashlight keychain to maneuver around the loveseat and find the lightswitch to the living room. 《 FEARLESS: Did it work? Try to manifest something, Nova! 》 ［］*PLEASE ENTER THE OBJECT YOU WOULD LIKE TO MANIFEST __ * Keep in mind that the spell is meant for manifesting ~ simple objects ~.

[Note: Sorry for the wait, carpal tunnel decided to give me issues and I took yesterday off from the Internet] Aside from a few disappointed expressions, no one seems that surprised. They didn't really believe something magical would happen, right? Even Mish shrugs and closes The Spellbook, ready to call it a night. That is, until a figure steps out from the flickering shadows of the dim living room with a dark expression. He pinches a needle inbetween his fingers, eyes locked on the chosen vessel. 《 SYNK: The spell won't be complete until Roxam bleeds ... ... ... 》 The air thickens with tension and a bit of uncomfortable shifting breaks the awkward silence [ well, that and the TwilightBlader's cookie munching ]. Roxam looks nervously around the room and settles his eyes on you, waiting for you to stop the pending madness. You clear your throat and straighten up, happy to aid him. 《 YOU: Okaaay, well, too bad then. He wasn't comfortable with it and we're not going to force him -- 》 《 PHOENIX: Err, not that I want him to bleed or anything, but I've heard bad things about leaving a spell unfinished ... 》 《 SAXIMA: Same, actually. 》 《 YOU: Jeeze, you guys don't actually BELIEVE this stuff, right? 》 《 ROXAM: ... I can accept this after some edits and also after you add a crush. As the character is now, he's kind of falling under the trope of a Mary-Sue [ Gary-Stu, Marty-Sue, whatever you want to call it ], which there's a rule against. In other words, all of the angst, the bounty hunter thing, the dead parents, brooding and whatnot unintentionally fits Michael into an archetype that I don't allow in this RP. That doesn't mean he can't have dead parents or brood or whatever, but at the moment he's fitting pretty perfectly into this emo stereotype and seems pretty one-dimensional and stereotypical which will likely lead him down the road of predictability and cliches. On top of that, he doesn't have a crush - which is required, and doesn't have Cupid's Brew which makes him even more generic. Make sure you read the rules. Also, just a reminder, this is an Advanced level RP, which means I'll be requiring a minimum of three paragraphs per post. On average, this role play requires thinking outside of the box or extensive thought not usually required in a KH-Vids role play and the participants in the role play will be required to make detailed filled and/or time consuming posts. I'll accept him when he has a crush and isn't so cliche.
