There is no way you can have the entire main cast. Please give at least two of them up.
Mewtwo gets two Mega formes because Mewtwo is the Pokémon most connected to the idea of genes and DNA due to being a modified clone. Also because GameFreak wanted it to. As for the three starters; they appear to just be the second stage evolutions, and in my experience the second stages of starters have always looked pretty weird. Which makes sense really, because they're usually the intermediate stage between the cute first form and the badass final form.
Tons of new info for all y'all today, as CoroCoro had a huge section covering it. First up; Mewtwo has two Mega Formes; the already-revealed MegaMewtwo Y, and MegaMewtwo X. Garchomp can become MegaGarchomp. Several new Pokémon were unveiled, including the two fossils that are Rock/Dragon and Rock/Ice this time (the former is a T-Rex, the latter appears to be a Brachiosaur of some kind) Gender differences will be more prominent, even allowing for different movesets in some cases. Lastly, the 2nd-stage evolutions of the starters have finally been shown. Here's Chespin's, Fennekin's, and Froakie's. Their final forms have yet to be shown. Source (also includes more images)

~~Avia ~ Quarantined Northern District~~ Having been examining the surrounding area like the others, Archer, Kakashi, and Gaara had all found nothing more than any of the others. Whatever these webs were, they were thicker than spider webs, but no stronger, and there were certainly no signs of whatever had created them. However, it seemed that some of the others had found something -- or rather, someone. The boy, who told them his name was Ansem, had belonged to a previous group that had entered. However, he also stated that his entire group bar himself had been killed. "Hm...Archer? What do you say? Can Ansem accompany us so he can find his fallen comrade's weapon?" one of the others, a girl calling herself Erza Scarlet, asked the red-clad Servant, apparently thinking of him as the group's leader for the time being. "Perhaps." Archer said, stepping towards the boy and examining him with his sharp eyes. "Ansem, you say you're the last of your mercenary group remaining. What beings attacked your team? And how did you manage to survive them?" "Both good questions." Kakashi stated, stepping forward too. "Forgive our suspicion, but we know nothing about you or your mercenary team, nor what creatures we are supposed to be clearing from he--" "Quiet..." Archer suddenly said, holding out his arm in front of Kakashi, his eyes closed. After a long moment of silence from everyone, Gaara broke it by speaking first. "There is something coming. I do not recognise this sense of foreboding about it, but I believe we are about to be attacked." he said, readying himself to call upon the sand from the large urn upon his back. Suddenly, Archer spun around and fired a shot from a bow that hadn't been there a moment before, the bolt flying through the air, straight past everyone else in the group, and impaling itself into the ground, where anyone watching must have just seen a faint flash of dark purple as something had rapidly been killed. "We've been watched since we entered here." Archer said, indicating that whatever he had shot at had been some sort of scout unit. "What are we looking out for?" Kakashi asked, now on guard. "They're small, purple creatures. Many eyes, but they were segmented. It slightly resembled a stuffed bear toy. It was pathetically weak though. Don't expect them to be alone. There must be stronger creatures nearby."
Mega Charizard looks... very generic. It's just a slightly more impressive dragon, but we kind of have an entire type for those. Mega Venusaur looks cool, not a big change, but one that does make it look a fair bit better. Mega Blastoise though, with a giant cannon on its back and one on either hand... wow. It even has a goatee to top it off. But this makes it hard for me since I'll have three water types on my team; Froakie, Squirtle, and my surfer. Oh well. So with MegaBlaziken confirmed, and Mega Kanto starters too, that pretty much confirms all Starters as having a Mega form. Can't wait to see the others.

A lot's happened here, considering it's only been a couple of days since we got here. Everyone's already so close, and we have a team we're all a part of now; ZEXIS. I think the first time I properly saw how you were was in the KHV Skype Chat, and you were honestly one of the more fun people there at the time. Unfortunately you stopped being there as often, as did I, and we don't really talk on here, so I can't say as I have a particularly different impression of you now. You do seem really sweet though. Oh boy, where to start. Honestly, way back when, I did not like you at all. You were childish and whiny, you used to complain if you didn't get your way, at least in Cove, but then you never did anything about it. Boy did you give me and Droid some hassle. I don't know what it was that made you start to change, but I'm really glad you did.
