A bunch of new Pokemon were leaked onto Youtube, followed shortly by a video on the official Japanese Pokémon channel revealing each of them as real!
In particular it seems that two of these Pokémon are the evolutions of Grubbin, who was revealed at E3.

I have fought the first boss as Roxas in KH2 and aside from that I have not played or watched a playthrough of a single game nor considered purchasing any of them.
I haven't even googled anything that I remember.
I'm not even sure how I ended up here.

If you're patient the ice cream becomes a nice topping for your dessert pie. If not then we can presume you were hungry enough to have seconds anyway.

Now, when you say pie I'm assuming you mean some kind of sweet pie rather than the kind filled with meat and gravy. That would be a very strange dessert. In which case planet Eci Maerc should be a target too.

reversing words actually does make for good silly sci-fi planet names, it turns out

I vote we raid planet Azzip. It's the only place in the universe where pizza literally grows on trees.

To explain some of the text in the Magearna image; it basically says that people who attend the new movie will get a disc that contains a QR code which can be scanned with Sun and Moon to obtain Magearna at level 50 in their game.

It's always a mistake to base your opinions of the starters on their first forms. Many of them are intentionally designed to be a bit doofy so as to highlight the idea of them maturing alongside the trainer over the journey. A ton of people used to bash on Oshawott when it was first revealed, but a good percentage of them shut up as soon as Samurott came out. I'd imagine the same will be true this gen.

Personally, Rowlet is currently my favourite starter Pokémon of all time. That could easily change once the evolutions are shown, but purely based on what we know, I absolutely adore the smol owl.

Starter evolutions are often not revealed until close to the release date, unfortunately. Chances are that the info will be the official announcement of the boxart legendaries' names.

Looking at the far left, that's clearly a couple of extra people not taking part in the battle but watching it. So not only do the trainers appear behind their Pokémon, but you can even have full backgrounds with other people and (potentially) Pokémon watching and doing their own thing. That's so cool.

There hasn't really been Special or Physical types since Gen III. If we're going by what moves the types have access to, then Dark is a Physical type now, since it only has three Special moves to its fifteen Physical ones. If we're going by what they used to be labelled as, then Fairy never had any Special or Physical label since the split happened long before it existed. So it's not really a viable way of looking at it anymore.

If it means anything though, chances are we won't get an Eeveelution, because on the same topic of patterns, we've only gotten Eeveelutions on even-numbered generations.

It may seem such a tiny and insignificant thing, but my number one hope for a returning feature is still the unique gym themes as featured in BW2. Even when the difference were subtle, the change in atmosphere the different music gave each gym really made them feel individual, rather than just like repetitive hurdles that you inevitably had to pass.

It'd also be nice to have more trainers that have five or even six Pokémon on their team. It doesn't necessarily have to up the difficulty by doing so, but the fact that there was only Diantha, the rival, and that one Magikarp trainer that had six Pokémon in XY was a little sad. The Elite Four in particular could have done with at least a fifth, if just to seem more impressive. Considering that the entire journey is supposed to lead up to the final challenge that is the Elite Four and Champion, they could have definitely done with being more intimidating.

I can't really think of any brand new features that I would want in the games. Other than the obvious "more Pokémon", "more moves", etc. I suppose specifically I would like some more strong moves of some of the more neglected types. Flying doesn't really have a standard late-game move besides Brave Bird, and Fairy could definitely use more than just one Physical move to its roster. Play Rough is a good move, but when it's literally the only option on something like Granbull, it gets a little frustrating.

More evolutions to previous gen Pokémon would be another nice addition, but seems unlikely with Mega Evolution now in the series, assuming that Mega Evolution does return in the Alola region. Just more to add to the list of things I'm impatient to find out more about.

Honestly that's about the biggest reason I (and I would have to assume many others) never touched those modes. You had to have two DS consoles, and a version of Black 2 (specifically. White 2 unlocked Easy Mode instead) that had already finished the game, then transfer the "key" to a new file on the other game, otherwise the mode was unlocked far too late to do anything noticeable. Definitely a waste of what would have undoubtedly otherwise been a very popular feature, that would help cater to all types of players.

If the difficulty is adjusted, I do hope it's an option, from the start like you say, rather than something enforced. I personally don't find the battle against Cynthia in the Gen IV games to be fun just because of how hard she is, and definitely would rather avoid a repeat performance of relying on Giratina's Struggle to get by in Gen VII.

From the Bulbapedia article on the Exp Share:

What you're suggesting is already how it works. You may be thinking of the other change to exp distribution they made, which is that all Pokémon that take part in a battle get full experience, as opposed to both getting half of the normal amount.

I've played Red, Yellow, Gold, Crystal, Ruby, Fire Red, Emerald, Colosseum, XD: Gale of Darkness, Diamond, Platinum, SoulSilver, White, White 2, Black 2, X, Y, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire, and I definitely disagree that it made the game ridiculously easy. I think it made the game more convenient for people who want to raise a lot of different Pokémon, and more accessible to more casual players, which is something I will never disagree with them doing.

I do think that it would be nice if they included something like Easy/Challenge Mode from BW2, but it would hardly be a deal breaker for me if they did things the same way as they did in Gen VI.

It's not possible to fix something that isn't broken. It was intended to work the way it works. If it makes things too easy for your personal preference, turn it off. That's why that's even an option; if you don't turn it off, the lack of difficulty isn't the game's fault, but the player's.

The difficulty of a game doesn't make something broken or not. It usually just indicates the audience the creators are going for. Their explanation for Gen 6's easier exp share and low difficulty overall was because despite the number of long-term and older fans, children are ultimately the series's biggest market, and with modern day kids being spoiled for options, it's harder to retain that audience if you have a difficult game. As was said during an interview; if the game is too hard, kids will just play something else.

On top of that, there's more and more Pokémon species every generation. To expect people who like collecting them or playing the metagame, gaining exp fast is an overwhelmingly good thing. There's no need to remove it, because it's only a problem for people who want a more difficult game, in which case Pokémon probably isn't the series to look at.

At most I'd say to put the old exp share in the game as well, so people at least have the option, but suggesting that it should be changed back completely seems like a silly thing to suggest when the feature made it far more convenient for the majority of their audience.

I had actually forgotten about how irriitating Flash can be, up until a few days ago when I got to the point where it's needed in my current Platinum replay. It wasn't quite so bad in Gen V/VI where TMs can be reused, but in Gen IV and previous where you get Flash before it's needed and then have to wait ages before you can buy a second TM of it, it was literally the worst.

Thankfully I'm pretty sure the repeat-use TMs are here to stay at this point, so we won't be stuck with that hell of a situation again. Whether Flash itself will be needed as a field move again, who can tell? I'm pretty sure Gen VI only used it as an alternative to Cleanse Tags, and if that's the case again I can deal with that.

Honestly, that was my immediate thought too. It would definitely be a cool addition to the little family of dog-based Pokémon that exist. Both Gen V and VI introduced a dog species each, so it's very possible they'll stick to that trend.

Hawaii isn't particularly known for any specific dog breeds, but France isn't known for Japanese Dormice either, and yet Kalos ended up housing Dedenne, so while it doesn't really fit the new Region's theme, that alone doesn't prove anything. It seems like we'll have to wait for more info to know what it is. Maybe if we're lucky, next months CoroCoro, which is supposed to have a lot more information, will show more about that Pokémon in particular.

A third trailer was released, which is mostly the same as the English one, but has about a second of new footage. In this second of footage, a never-before-seen Pokémon can be spotted for just a second, viewed from behind (seen on the far left of the below image).

With the very brief look, from what is not a very favourable angle, there isn't much telling what the Pokémon could be based on, but first impressions suggest that it may be the analogue to Rattata/Sentret/Zigzagoon, etc; being an early-game Normal-type Pokémon, but it's in no way confirmed to be that.

Honestly, there's never been a HM that wasn't pointless, besides Fly. Most of the time they exist to serve as a roadblock for one area specifically, and then they're just used to find optional items later, which almost always feels like it was just put in later as an excuse to reuse it. The exception is Strength, I suppose, since it's often used in Victory Road puzzles.

The big issue with Surf is that almost every Pokémon you encounter while Surfing, somewhat obviously, is Water-type. If you favour a different type, or if you already have a Water-type you love, then every encounter feels like a drag, and it gets very monotonous. A big part of the fun of Pokémon is how many types and species there are, so any particularly large area filled with only a certain type or even a limited number of species is going to take away from a lot of the enjoyment. Less so if you don't need to go there, but in the case of Hoenn, with half of the region being water-based it gets very dull, since the encounterable species are essentially the same no matter what part of the sea you're in.

My hope for Sun and Moon is that they'll reduce superfluous HM usage and either make them needed far less, or give far more reward for having those moves, to the point where it actually feels worth having a limited choice of moves.
