It's funny because the plotpoints you pointed out saying they were obvious are completely wrong =P Also, the Ghost Ship is hidden in uncharted waters, and the only way to get the maps to the Uncharted waters is to have the Fairy Spirits unlock the doors to the deeper parts of the Temple of the Ocean King

And I was stating that despite it's price cut, I doubt that anyone would consider the $399 a good thing, because why would you want the PS3 if you can't even play some of the greatest games from the past 7 years on it?

    See:

"Good thing you can still just stroll around find those fantastical PS1 games at every turn! Because it's not like the PS2 just had 7 years worth of a great gaming library, clearly no one should care for the PS2 and all the games that are still being sold everywhere for the system, of course not! Everyone is all about that mid-1990's action!"

It's funny because at the *chan's when you put "Sage" as your email, it's meant to be an insult to the person you're talking to because you are "saging" their thread

vgboxart.com is a fan-made website for people to post the boxarts that they created, as in, it's full of fake boxarts that people made in Photoshop

lol you don't necessarily have to, it was fun playing against you because it means I actually have some competition for once =P though I don't think your game would suffer much from playing with a keyboard just to be at the same disadvantage as the rest of us xD

Other than another member of out SSB community named Kira Haro, you're pretty much the only one that I'd say surpasses me =P if we didn't have items on I'd definitely say you'd have beaten me

On SSBB related new, apparently Ike's alternate colors/costumes make him look like Marth and Roy, so I think they're probably cut =\

I'm a complete whore for the Zelda series, but in all honesty I would recommend this as a Rent-and-Beat title =\ but regardless, it is a title that EVERY DS owner should play

I would think that the week that the game was delayed was the most epic week of updates in the history of the Dojo. So...you already got your kickass week

    Sorry for the double post.

New Brawl video and E 4 All impression

    http://www.gamepro.com/video/player.cfm?vid=116720

No wavedashing and no wavelanding, L-canceling is not in as far as we can tell.

Airdodging is like how we detailed earlier, based completely on momentum

    Fox can Short-Hop laser.
Fox can jump out of shine, but it requires that you hold down and B, you can't let go or he'll go into a different animation, hold down and b and then jump. Very difficult, and in the end won't have nearly as much benefit as it has in the past

    Bowser is hardcore.
    Forward-B Claw is ridiculous
Bowser is extremely powerful from what we've played, he wrecks everyone
You can use his Up+B directly out of a shield, which is very powerful

    Alternate Costumes confirmed:
-Samus has a dark suit red visor
    -Fusion suit Samus
-Sonic costumes are recolors of blue
    -Fox has a Starwolf outfit
-Diddy Kong has Dixie Kong outfit
-Bowser has a solid gold alt costume

Mario's forward-smash is so very very slow

    Samus can't missile cancel
Bomb jumping with Samus is tough
If you die as zero suit, you stay as zero suit,
You can't start the match as Zero Suit Samus like changing from Zelda to Sheik at the beginning of a round.

Samus charged B isn't strong, Peach was shot with it fully charged at 87% didn't kill.

Can catch edge even if you're facing wrong way, edgehogging is easy.

    Peach is nerfed.
Peach’s Down-smash is nerfed, no range
    Float canceling not possible
    Peach seems heavier

Sonic, not as good as you'd expect
Moves don't have much knockback, he's good at wracking up damage but not finishing you off
    Feels kind of 'loose'
Of all the new chars, he's the least popular, hardest learning curve (but has potential with more play)

Directional Influence is more profound, you can get out of combos a lot easier,
Survival to 150% is very easy

    How does the game feel:

    Feels slower, definitely like SSB64
Classic Controller feels awkward, accidentally jumped alot because of button layout (May be fixable with customizeable controls)
You can't short-hop with the wiimote
    Everyone feels so floaty.
Brawl plays really differently, it’s awkward for now because not used to it.
Majority of moves have really low lag, could make for faster paced fights

Well, the first in-depth impressions of the Brawl demo have started hitting the pipe (From actual Smash Bros fans and not 'The Press'), and it looks like we have an official deconfirmation of Wavedashing and L-Canceling, they are nowhere to be found in Brawl

An explanation of why this is so can be traced to the mechanics of the Air Dodge being changed.

Quite awhile ago it was reported that SSBB licensed the advanced physics engine HAVOK, which we knew would be a factor in some changes to Brawl. The HAVOK engine has brought us more advanced character interactions (Characters react to opponents through eye contact, body language, mechanics based around touch like the Foostool Jump and gooey bomb, etc.), the ability to interact with items (standing on Boxes, more advanced item catching mechanics, etc.), and has now given us new Air-Dodge mechanics

Air-dodging is now based on momentum, meaning you no longer press the dodge-button while holding a direction to simply 'pause' in mid-air and slide in that direction, you actually keep whatever momentum you had when activating the Dodge.

-If you Jump and dodge, your momentum will make you dodge upwards while keeping your Jump momentum.

-If you are falling towards the ground and dodge, your character will dodge while still falling down

-If you jump forwards and dodge, you will keep your forward-upwards momentum and dodge diagonally upwards

-If you are falling backwards and dodge, you will keep your backwards-downwards momentum and fall back diagonally

Here are some examples that give you a little peak at this new Dodge mechanic:

MTV Multiplayer » Watch How to Play “Super Smash Bros. Brawl” Using the Classic Controller

1:50-1:55 in the video, Diddy Kong is falling down and backwards, he activates his Dodge, and he keeps that momentum, his downwards-backwards falling is not affected at all

GameSpot Video: Super Smash Bros. Brawl Nintendo Media Summit 2007 Gameplay Demo

1:30-1:35 in this video, Mario gets hit with a Smash attack and falls off the edge of the Stage, when making his way back to the edge he mid-air jumps and then immediately dodges, resulting in an Upwards-Forwards momentum, mid-air dodging his way back onto the edge

    http://www.gamespot.com/video/92851...os-brawl-nintendo-media-summit-2007-interview

1:20-1:25 in this video, similar to the Mario video Sonic is recovering, jumps and then dodges keeping his diagonal momentum to get back on the stage.

I'm currently in the middle of Phoenix Wright 1, I already have Phoenix wright 2 for when I finish the 1st, and I'm eagerly anticipating Phoenix Wright 3 when it comes out in a week xD I love the series, really great quirky games, though there's not really much replayability to the games unfortunately =\ I'd advise them more as rent-and-beat sort of titles

Copy/Pasting the Project64k download guide for newcomers to see:

Also, Moodkip, you mentioned that you recently got a new PC. Are you running it on Vista? Because as of now I believe Project64k doesn't work on Vista computers due to Vista's backwards compatibility issues with some XP programs.

However, Vista's Service Pack 1 which is releasing in January is supposed to fix most of these issues

Do you remember .zip files? And WinZip? Yeah, .rar files are the new .zip these days, so all you need is the program WinRAR
