Bai blinked and looked at Rayku, "hmm?"
after a very annoying laptop experiance and losing of a USB port MANY times, i have finally been able to get the next chapter up. just so you know, the next chapter(s) will be very interesting ;D ENJOY ~|Chapter Sixteen|~ Seiretei’s Confusion: the True Enemy (part 1) Ok, what I said about everything going quickly? Well, the next few days did NOT go quickly… but yesterday was really fun. After finding the first episode of Lucky Star and playing DDR, everyone had a lot of fun. “So, how’s Kairi doing? She doing a good job on learning from you?†Sora asked Aerith Aerith nodded and smiled. Seeing her smile made me smile as well. It always did. Kairi was smiling widely, also, next to Aerith, which I’m sure was from being praised by her teacher. “Well that’s good! Maybe soon you’ll be good enough to use it in battle!†Sora said Sora was happier then I would have thought him to be on this subject. I smiled and closed my eyes, laughing a little “Or you could possibly become a mage yourself,†I said. Aerith laughed a little and Kairi smiled “I like that idea!†she chimed Aerith sighed with a smile and shook her head “Believe me, being a mage has its oddities,†She seemed amused by this topic Kairi giggled and I jumped when Christie screamed at me to come over “Christie! What was that for?!†She laughed and I muttered under my breath as I walked over. She smiled “I’m actually gonna get to have fun! Nii-san is taking me on a mission with him! Isn’t it great?!†I stared at her and I felt like crying “This is why you made me deaph…?†I asked She smiled widely and laughed “Yup, isn’t it great?!†“I hate you.†I muttered as I hung my head, She laughed as Sora walked over, looking at Christie “So you’re Leon’s sister?†he asked Christie nodded as Leon walked in “Yeah, she’s my sister all right, I don’t know anyone else who could be as big of a knucklehead like her†he smirked “with the exception of you and Bailey though.†Christie playfully smacked Leon on the arm, I pouted, and Sora put his hands on his hips “Hey! What’s that supposed to mean?!†he said Leon laughed and waved it off. He looked down at Chris and put his hand on her head “Are you ready to leave?†he asked She nodded then waved to me before walking with him to their ship. I sighed then looked at Sora “Hey, have you seen Riku anywhere? I can’t find him.†Sora blinked and looked at me and bit his lip “Yeah, he went with Vincent and Zack to take care of something.†I put my hand on my head. “Great,†I muttered I sighed then walked out with my hands in my pockets, Sora walking next to me with his hands behind his head. I looked at him “By the way, how long had you known everyone here before now?†Sora looked up in thought before turning to me to answer “Almost three years now,†he said I looked ahead before jumping when I see a bright light. I turned to see Sora summoning his blade and a crown of light appear below his feet. A fierce wind flew around us and a keyhole appeared in the sky. I jumped when I heard a loud roar like that of a hollow and watched Sora jump back. He swung his keyblade and held it to the keyhole. A light shot towards the keyhole and an unlocking sound came from the keyhole as it disappeared. I frowned “Looks like another world is calling for help,†I muttered We headed towards the gummy hangers and I grabbed him by the hood of his jacket before he went to get Highwind. He blinked and looked at me in confusion “Where exactly are you going Sora?†I asked He pointed to highwind “To the ship…†I shook my head and let go of his hood “Nuh-uh, we’re taking my ship. I worked hard on that thing so we’re going to use it,†I turned towards the hanger with Black Trinity in it and Sora sighed, following me. Once we got into the ship I sat down in the captain’s seat and brought up the map of the worlds that had been opened around Radiant Gardens. I frowned when the Seiretei was blinking a bright red light “Well, now we know where to go, but it’s going to take a while…†I muttered Sora nodded and sat down as I took off towards the Seiretei. After a while I sighed “Ugh, we get everyone back together and the next time we need to go somewhere we only have two people go… and on a distress call too,†Sora sighed “Well, we’ll have to make do, besides, I’m sure Oriheme, Uryu, and Chad can help.†I blinked and looked at Sora after putting the ship on autopilot, so as to not get into a crash or anything with a meteor. “Are they other Soul Reapers?†I asked Sora made a face at me, “No, the soul reapers all tried to kill us! I hope I don’t see one of them.†I crossed my arms as my eyebrow rose. “Really, the Soul Reapers I met were fine,†I said Sora frowned before seeing the Seiretei finally come into view. I beamed us down and sighed when that pressure came back once again. “I hope I get used to this,†I said I heard the clinking of a sword and saw a redhead step out from the shadows. Sora readied himself to summon his kingdom key but I held my hand out to him, “Hey, Rioka, what are you doing out here?†the man asked I took a step back towards the cliff where I first met Ichigo and Yoroichi as he took a step closer to me and Sora. “What do you care?†I said I turned around and ran for the ‘door’ in the cliff and Sora followed after me “Hey! Get back here Rioka!†the man shouted “Not a chance idiot!†I shouted I jumped up into one of the trees and hopped into the entrance to the training grounds, Sora followed after me as well. Inside Ichigo was fighting with the same man that he was when I first met him. Yoroichi was standing on a rock down below, watching him, and thinking. I jumped down the rocks and landed on one just a little ways from Yoroichi, she looked at me before we all jumped from a loud explosion from the entrance “I was wondering what you could be doing, holed up in this place.†I frowned. That was the same voice of the red-headed man “I take it that’s the true form of your Zanpakuto there with you,†A cloud of dust shot down from the explosion and down to be level with Ichigo. We all stared at the dust as the voice continued, “So, you’re hiding out here and secretly training for Bankai are you?†The shadow of a man holding a large jagged sword over its shoulder started to show as the dust began to clear. “Sounds like fun to me,†Ichigo blinked and shifted a little as he stared at the same red-headed man from earlier, the red head stared back. Wait, this guy was talking to Ichigo like he knew him… did he know him? The red head spoke up again with a wide smirk on his face “Let me train along with you,†he said Ichigo stared at him with wide eyes “Renji…†Ichigo said Renji’s smirk got wider “You seem to have that ‘what are you doing here’ look. Hell, I guess I can’t blame you for wondering.†He said and let his sword down, “but the fact is, I’m not here for any special reason,†he said and walked forward, “it’s just that we’re outta time now. So I needed some place I could concentrate and train in peace, just like you,†Man this guy can talk, we all watched as he walked. Ichigo frowned “What do you mean ‘we’re out of time’? What the hell are you talking about?†We all look at Renji for his answer, the intensity building up. Renji looks up and sigh “Well alright, I guess I could at least tell ya that much… it’s about Rukia’s execution. They’ve changed the time.†It looked like someone had just stabbed a knife into Ichigo and Yoroichi, I frowned. What did he mean ‘changed the time’? “Changed the time?†Ichigo repeated Renji didn’t look at him, “They’ve announced it’s going to be at noon… noon tomorrow.†Everyone froze like statues at this comment. Renji turned to face his back towards Ichigo “And though I hate to admit it, the fact is at my current level I’m not quite good enough to save Rukia… that’s why I came here… to train.†Ichigo didn’t seem to like that idea but he looked at Renji when he spoke up once again “Don’t worry about me; I don’t have any intention of getting in the way of your Bankai training. In fact I’m close to achieving the Bankai release myself.†He said and held out his sword, “I’ve already mastered manifesting it, like this.†A sharp wind and grey smoke whipped around his blade before going over to the ground in front of him and swirling around before exploding. This guy loves explosions doesn’t he? He looked back at Ichigo with a smirk on his face, “So, if it’s ok with you I’m just gonna do my own thing here.†He said When the smoke and dust cleared behind him I couldn’t believe my eyes. Standing behind him was a giant, white ape on all fours. This thing was almost as tall as Renji! I couldn’t imagine how big it would be if It stood up. And instead of a normal tale like you would have thought this thing had a snake for a tale. Across its shoulders and down its arms were purple markings that matched the odd tattoos on Renji’s eyebrows. I looked down at Yoroichi when she repeated the news about Rukia’s execution date. “Noon tomorrow…? No way… there’s no way he can reach Bankai that quickly,†she said I jumped when Ichigo’s sword shattered. Yoroichi looked up and frowned. “What? You just gonna give up on me then? Come on Yoroichi, you’re the one who started me on this training program. It was your idea, so you can’t be the first one to quit on it,†Ichigo said Yoroichi frowned “Ichigo no, what if tomorrow comes and you still can’t achieve Bankai-†“We can’t waist time worrying about what ifs! Failure is no longer an option,†Ichigo said and turned around to face Yoroichi. “If they have changed the deadline to tomorrow,†He held up the remainder of his blade to his other hand, shattering the last of the blade into it. A bluish white glow started to emanate from his body and his eyes glowed white, “then the only option there is, is to finish training today.†I stared at him as his spiritual pressure started to get stronger and a fierce wind toyed with everyone’s hair. Yoroichi stared at Ichigo “This Spiritual Pressure…. Ichigo…†she muttered I looked at her then blinked when Ichigo smirked and moved his eyes towards me, “And, if Bailey can train with me, then she might be able to help us save Rukia.†I looked at him and a smile spread across my face before I nodded. “Hey, Ichigo!†We looked over at Renji to see him with an annoyed look. “Yeah? What is it?†Ichigo muttered Renji’s eye twitched and he pointed to me, making me blink. “What’s the deal with asking this other Rioka to help you? She has barely any spiritual pressure and she looks too week to help!†My eyebrow twitched as I tried to keep from killing him. Why is it that the people in this world made me so aggravated? Ichigo snorted as Yoroichi spoke up “If you see what she can do then you’ll know that she’s not a week as she looks.†She said and sighed, looking at me, “ok Bailey, while Ichigo’s training, let’s at least teach you flashstep.†I nodded “By the way, wasn’t there a boy with you?†Renji asked I blinked and turned around to see that Sora had vanished. I smacked my palm to my head “Dammit Sora…†I muttered “You can look for him later. right now all you should worry about is what I’m going to teach you.†Yoroichi said Training, that’s what we did nonstop for what seemed like weeks. And because this place only had day, you couldn’t tell if time had stopped, sped up, or had jumped. Yoroichi kept training me as Ichigo and Renji tried to master Bankai. After a while Renji got ready to head out, he turned towards Ichigo “Well then, I guess I’ll be going,†he said Ichigo didn’t turn, just answered. “All right,†he muttered. Renji frowned and turned, Yoroichi stood in front of him with her arms crossed, watching Ichigo as I stood next to her. Renji walked forward and stopped, “Tell me the truth Yoroichi, what do you think? Do you still think he’s going to be able to do this…? Cause we’re out of time. Can he really reach Bankai today?†I looked at him before at Yoroichi. She looked at Ichigo as Zangetsu shifted his stance; “Let’s go Ichigo. One more time now,†Zangetsu called out I stood up straight as Zangetsu clones started to appear around Ichigo “And let me be clear, just because the hour is drawing near I don’t intend to go easy on you.†A wide grin spread across the bloodstained Ichigo and he breathed heavily. “No, of course you won’t. And that’s because I’m not gonna give you the chance to go easy on me!†Yoroichi opened her eyes. “Renji, do you remember the first time when you were a child that you stood up and walked on your own?†she asked Renji’s eye twitched “What? Of course not! No one remembers anything that early,†he said I looked at him as Yoroichi talked “If you don’t remember doing it, and yet you did it… it means that you weren’t conscious of it at the time… so how did you know how to do it?†Yoroichi asked Renji blinked at the question. Ichigo kept grinning as he rushed after the clones that were heading after him, starting to cut them down. “The answer is all humans are born already knowing how to stand up, just as birds are born knowing how to fly, and fish are born already knowing how to swim,†I looked at Yoroichi before watching Ichigo “It’s because of something we call instinct. All living creatures use their instinct to obtain their natural powers when the time comes that they need them… that’s what Ichigo’s face reminds me of. I think he knows instinctively, somewhere deep down inside, that he has that power. And that is why I still believe… that he will be the one to reach Bankai,†Ichigo clashed with Zangetsu before getting pushed back; he raised his sword and ran towards Zangetsu before swinging his blade. It went on like this as Renji disappeared to the outside world. Yoroichi returned to teaching me again while keeping a close eye on Ichigo. On and on it went, neither of us stopping for a small breath. I sure hope this is enough /.\./.\./.\./.\./.\ Everyone was scattering like rats when Rukia’s execution started. Some of the captains and lieutenants were at the Sokyoku, waiting for Rukia to die. The Rioka and even the other captains and subordinates were scrambling to their feet, trying to find their way to the hill or investigating something. Renji just fought with Byakuya and it ended with him being a bloody mess, even with him having reached Bankai. Sora had snuck off and found Oriheme and the others, watching as Yachiru flew off quickly “Agreed, your last request will be honored. After the execution I shall allow the Rioka to return home, unharmed.†Head Captain Yamamoto stated A slight smile appeared on Rukia’s face as she stood on a platform. Her plain white kimono came down to her knees and the sleeves to her elbows. Her hands were bound by a red rope “Thank you so much head captain,†she said with a relieved tone The lieutenant of 4th squad looked down “How cruel, why say that when he is no intention of sparing them?†“It’s actually not cruelty, Isane, it’s kindness,†Captain Unohana said Isane looked at her captain “What do you mean by that Captain Unohana?†Unohana had a grim look on her face, she looked up “Her fate is unavoidable, but now with the Head Captain’s promise, she won’t need to worry about her friends,†/.\“Ichigo, you ready?â€/.\ Everyone from all around stared up at the Sokyoku in awe as the seal was released from the giant blade said to of been stronger then 1000 Zanpakuto. Three square stones rose from the platform Rukia was standing on, the two outside rose to her hands and held them in place without touching her, the other held her feet as she started to rise high over the heads of the few captains and lieutenants that had come to watch. She sighed deeply and looked ahead at the Sokyoku. The second that the blade lifted from the ground an immense flame rose from where it had stood and engulfed the blade as well as spiraling around it. Everyone below stared up at the spear as it began to form into an enormous bird of flame. “Behold! The Sokyoku has taken on its true form in order to render the ultimate punishment. When the prisoner’s body has been pierced, the sentence will have been carried out!†head captain shouted over the roar of the fire. Rukia stared at the bird without showing any fear. Then, after a moment, tears slowly showed and slid down her face “Farewell.†She muttered She closed her eyes and waited for her death /.\./.\./.\./.\./.\ A wide smirk grew on my face as I appeared on the wooden frame behind Rukia. She frowned when her killer didn’t come and opened her eyes to see Ichigo there in front of her with his sword behind his back. All of the captains stared up at the sight of Ichigo’s sword blocking the great bird’s ‘beak’ before it could hit Rukia. A smile grew on Ichigo’s face “Hey,†Ichigo greeted “Ichigo…†A mixture of emotions swept her face before she growled and glared at Ichigo “Idiot! I said don’t come back! What’s it gonna take for you to finally realize?! You can’t defeat my brother! He’ll kill you for sure this time,†Ichigo stared at her as I blinked “I’m not asking you or anyone to save me; I’m resigned to my fate! GO AWAY!†she shouted I looked up “Ichigo!†He looked up at me before stumbling when the Sokyoku roared and backed up, readying to strike again. Ichigo smiles “Bring it on,†“You’ll never be able to stop it a second time! Enough already Ichigo you’ve got to quit! Ichigo! Please! You’ll be torn to pieces-!†I quickly looked down “Ichigo! Wait!†He stopped and watched as a red rope shot up and swung around the beak of the Sokyoku before flying back down and digging into the ground. I looked down to see a captain and two squad members “Captain Ukitake? And Kiyone?!†Another captain appeared and held onto the rope to make sure it didn’t go anywhere. This captain was wearing a pink robe over his normal ones “Hey there hansom. I was starting to wonder when you were going to show up.†“C-captain Kyoraku!†a soul reaper shouted “It took a while to break the seal, but,†Captain Ukitake swung forward what looked like a shield and another captain called out to their Lieutenant, “Stop them! They’ll destroy the Sokyoku!†“What can I do?!†the lieutenant cried The two captains below holding the ropes pulled out their swords and the shield lit up, lighting up the ropes as well. Ichigo and I watched as the Sokyoku exploded into millions of individual flames and everyone below shielded their heads as Ichigo and I shielded our faces from the wave of heat. Ichigo smiled “I’m not sure what’s going o but I could sure use the diversion.†He said He jumped to my side and I nodded, jumping back to the edge while keeping an eye on the mayhem below. “Ichigo what are you doing?!†Rukia shouted Ichigo grabbed the bandage attached to the blade and started twirling it “Isn’t it obvious? This stand… is about to tumble down,†Rukia gasped and glared at Ichigo, I looked at her “That’s crazy! Ichigo you can’t! You’ll only end up killing us both! The Sokyoku is too strong!†“Don’t worry about it!†I growled Ichigo quickly let go of the bandage and grabbed the sword’s handle when it faced downwards “Just shut up and watch.†Ichigo said Rukia stared at Ichigo as his blade came crashing down to the post, once it hit the stand the whole thing glowed a bright white and I jumped when a loud boom sounded, almost like that of thunder. The spiritual pressure of the stand made a fierce wind fly around everyone near the stand and I shielded my eyes when everything turned white before a huge explosion sounded, “‘I don’t want you to rescue me’ you say, ‘just go home’ you said. You know? Sometimes you talk too much Rukia, good thing I don’t listen to you,†The bright light finally started to fade away and I looked over to see Ichigo having gotten Rukia down from where she was, he was holding her around her middle at his side. “Now this is the second time I’ve had to tell you this,†I looked at Ichigo after scanning below “I’ve come here to rescue you, got it?†Ichigo asked I smiled as Rukia’s eyes started to dampen before she closes her eyes tightly, her voice getting quiet “You’re a fool… I’m not going to forgive you…†she said as tears streamed down her face, “I’m not going to… say thank you... I won’t!†Ichigo’s expression turned into a warm smile, “I didn’t expect you to.†He said I looked down below at the confused and surprised faces of the soul reapers before jolting when Rukia spoke up again “Ichigo…. Let me ask you something… what are we supposed to do now? How can we possible disappear? With so many eyes watching us…†“We’ll make a run for it of course.†I said Rukia blinked and looked up at me, as if I was crazy “What?! How stupid! We’d never get away! Those are captains!†she hissed Ichigo got an annoyed look on his face, looking off to the side “Yeah? And we’ll kick their asses first…†Ichigo said Rukia starred at us, I looked at her “We’re not alone you know,†I said She looked at me with a shocked expression, Ichigo smiles “Uryu, Chad, Oriheme and Gonju, and Hanatarou, their all here,†“And not only that, but most of the captains as well…†I said “We’re all going to get away. I’ll make sure of it.†The smile on Ichigo’s face said that he was filled with confidence, making Rukia smile herself a little and look down with watery eyes, I quickly looked down at the sound of fighting and the others looked towards that as well. I blinked and smirked when Renji knocked out the men who released the Sokyoku. He was completely bandaged up and worn out as he stuck his sword into the ground and fell to one of his knees “‘Bout time you got here Renji!†I shouted Rukia quickly looked up and got overwhelmed “Oh Renji it’s you! I’m so glad you’re still alive!†she shouted Ichigo smiled “I figured you’d show up.†He said Renji laughed “What choice did I have? I couldn’t just rely on you two bone heads to save Rukia, could I?†Ichigo smiled and I laughed as I jumped down to Rukia and Ichigo, Ichigo and Rukia blinked when I took Rukia from Ichigo’s grasp, the three looked at me and blinked when I grabbed a hold of Rukia’s wrists “Alright, here ya go Renji!†“Bailey…? What are you doing?†Ichigo asked I smirked as I brought Rukia into the air, Renji’s eye twitched “Wait! You don’t think you’re really going to-†Rukia shouted “Hey hold on now, you wouldn’t dare!†he stuttered I smirked and Ichigo sweatdropped “Look out below!!†I shouted with an evil grin on my face I spun Rukia around before throwing her down to Renji. Rukia screamed loudly and sharply, Renji yelped “God, you’re insane!!!†Rukia flew into Renji, making them both fly back. Rukia was the first one up, “Gah! Damn you!†she shouted “You idiot, what if I didn’t catch her?!†Renji screamed I crossed my arms and looked down at them “Get going Renji! Take Rukia and get out of here!†I shouted “What?†Renji asked I put my hand on my hip, looking at Renji and gesturing for the way out of Sokyoku hill “Don’t just stand there, get her to safety! Take her far away from here!†Ichigo sighed silently and put his sword on his shoulder, looking at Renji. Renji looked at me and Ichigo “That’s your duty; protect her with your life.†Ichigo said Renji looked at the two of us before nodding and grabbing Rukia in his arms and quickly turning around, running for where the stairs off of Sokyoku Hill was. Ichigo looked down at the captains and lieutenants down below, his eyes caught on a single captain with black hair and a firm expression, I looked down as a captain shouted at all of the lieutenants “Don’t just sit there watching you fools! Go! All lieutenants after them!†Three lieutenants all sprung towards Renji and Rukia, a big guy that didn’t look all that bright, the same girl that had spoken out when the two captains had helped destroy the Sokyoku, and one that was the lieutenant of the head captain, they all got out their swords “Bailey.†Ichigo said I nodded and disappeared before appearing in front of the three lieutenants and coming between them and their targets. They all stopped and blinked at me as I just stood there, hair slightly over my eyes. The bigger one growled out of frustration “Get out of the way!†I raised my head and opened my eyes as the girl took out her Zanpakuto as it started to grow into three blades “Now run! Hitekumo!†The lieutenant of first squad took out his sword, the hilt changing into a more rounded shape “Fly, Onriomaru,†The big guy brought up his sword and it turned into a round ball with spikes, like the type you see on a ball and chain… only bigger. “Crush her! Gogenshu Muré!†As soon as hestopped talking my fist went flying, straight through the spiked ball and shattering it before my fist collided with the man’s stomach, sending him flying. The other two lieutenants’ eyes widened, then the lieutenant of first squad got a hold of himself and thrust his sword forward, I turned on my heel and dodged the blade before raising my hand. The lieutenant’s eyes widened as I hit him up on the chin, knocking him out. Last but not least, the woman. She starred at me in both amazement and confusion before blinking when I turned towards her, quickly hitting her in the chest with my palm. I heard someone running behind me and Ichigo smirked, quickly disappearing before catching the blade of the black haired man with his own, I frowned as he and the man stared into each other’s eyes “I can see your moves… Byakuya Kuchiki†Next time on: Destiny and the Unforeseen ~|Bailey: "Ichigo what the hell is this thing?!"|~ 'Renji, just go back! i don't care if i''m executed!' 'don't say that' ~|Kon: "my name's Kon! and what's your name pretty lady?" Bailey:"......"|~ 'why are you so bent on saving Rukia? and why are you agreeing with him?' 'because i made a promise' 'because i don't believe in killing someone because they did something wrong. besides, unlike you i would fight my society to save my sibling' ~|Ichigo: "Kon! how the hell did you get here?!" Kon: "hey! Ichigo put me down! ahhhh!!!!!!" Bailey: "no matter how long i stay in this world i just don't understand it......."|~ next time: Seiretei's confusion: the true enemy (part 2) ~|"don't miss it!" Kon: "take that Ichigo!" Ichigo: "Kon get off my face!" Bailey: "ugh... just make sure you don't miss it somehow...."|~
Bai sighed and stood up, "i'm going to look for Ven..." she mumbled then went outside
Bai jolted when he dissapeared then frowned
Bai frowned and shook Kell's shoulder a bit, "Kell..?"
Bai knelt down and put her hand on Kell's shoulder, "Kell...."
Bai took a step back, "K-Kell? what's wrong.....?"
Bai whirled around and looked at Kell, "K-Kell?! are you okay?!" she asked and held up a hand as she went over to him
Bai went inside to Ven, still a little shaken, "K-Kell's fighting a..... vampire...."
Bai blinked then got off the roof
Bai looked up at Kell, "K-Kell?"
Bai fell to her knees as she blinked and got out of her daze, she quickly looked up*
Bai's eyes widened but she continued to blush, she opened her mouth but only a slight sound came out, h-he's a vampire..... but he's attractive.... her blush intensed
Bai blushed as she held up a hand
Bai went to the roof and jumped onto it, going to the boy
Bai blushed and looked at him with longing eyes as she started to step forward, he-he's so cute....
Bai's breath hitched and she took a step forward, looking at himwith dazed eyes before blinking, shaking her head and tightening her fist in front of her heart, wait, what am i doing?
Bai stumbled back and looked at the boy, "wh-who are you?!"
Bai jolted and quickly looked around, frowning
Bai blinked, putting her pointer finger on her temple and thinking, "um, i dunno,"
