I don't think it's a Death Note pen, it would probably be marked with Death Note related things if it were, and there are already 2 Death Note games for the DS (which I mean, when you think about it, is what makes sense), so I think this is some Playstation related peripheral and not directly related to a game..

Maybe it's for a handwriting-to-text app for the PSP? Write with the pen, and it goes on your PSP?

Yeah, I guess it just seems like there's so much S-E infleunce on the genre that everything they do just bleeds into the image of the entire medium xD

oh pssh, you know that when people make RPGs these days they want to cater to the depressed weaboo audience xD

it's a generalization because the majority of the genre is like that

and can't you wait like 5 minutes before quoting me and making a response? xD I always take like 5 minutes after initially posting to edit my post, so you quoted me from 5 minutes ago which is a different post from the one it is now <.<

you just admitted the observation is correct, even if only in part

Is it that way for every single person who plays the genre? No, but the nature of it lends people to be that way, or atleast attracts people who are already like that, hence why it's an observational truth.

It's a single player experience, you're playing a long and slow game, and the very nature of the genre is cliche'd depressing storylines with emo badass beltan zipper characters

Just like the FPS series is mindless self-fulfilling alien killing with manly generic badass characters with can wield 40 different weapons and save the world single handedly

Another aspect of the RPG genre. Think about it, how many RPGs do you play where there isn't some dark depressing past, silent protagonist, emo villain who's wardrobe is 90% belts and zippers, cliche'd tragic deaths and betrayals?

It's a generalization, but the reason they exist is because it stems from observational truth. Similarly how everyone thinks of Halo players as college fratboys who can't go 2 sentences without cursing you out for stealing his kill? You know that's how, at least at some point, you and/or others think of people who play SHOOTAN GAEMZ

Did he say they didn't enjoy themselves? Did he say they were 'lonely'? He said they were alone, in their rooms, playing slow games. That is the very nature of the RPG genre, a single player experience, by yourself, logging 50+ hours into an adventure

    You're alone, you're in a room, and you're playing a slow game.

perhaps the 'depressed' part is subjective, but honestly, all the JRPG players I know are weaboo/emos, so to me that part fits the role quite a lot

Is it that way for every single person who players RPGs? No, but the nature of the genre lends people to be that way, hence why it's a generalization

Do you deny what he says, really?
The RPG genre is a lonely one

I don't see how stating a harsh truth, albeit generalized and stereotyping, is any better or worse than saying that your fanbase are mindless drones who will buy anything you make simply because it has your brand-name on it, even if you make no effort to actually give them something to enjoy.

Yamauchi's comment, for one, was 4 years after Square had officially left Nintendo and started making Playstation games exclusively. That doesn't excuse it being an idiotic comment, but it gives it context so you can probably see why he said it, it's like Sony saying that Grand Theft Auto was never important to them when GTA4 went multiplatform, saying that the series is not significant to them

"We can launch PS3 without any games and it will sell millions, because Sony fans buy Sony products"

“Microsoft is not a technology company, Sony is.”

"The 360 is too big an investment for family entertainment."

"The PlayStation 3 is a computer, Playstation fans do not need a PC."

"The PlayStation is not a game machine. We've never once called it a game machine, and Playstation consumers do not want games."

"What competition?" when asked about the Nintendo Revolution and Xbox 360

Added to the fact that Sony shut down one of the greatest gaming import businesses there was, Lik Sang, for the allmight sin of: selling the PSP! Oh no!

And as all of the above was happening, Sony also had to recall pretty much every laptop battery they've sold in the past year because of the teensy problem that, you know, they explode.

As well as when you bought a computer from Sony they had previously installed a "rootkit" on your computer which took away your ability to properly control your operating system, and when asked about it they said "Consumers don't know what a rootkit is, so why should they care?"

Keep in mind that all of this happened in the space of a few months, and you can see why people saw Sony as massive *******s

Microsoft doesn't control what 3rd parties choose to do with their platforms, Sony has not made any new PS2 games since God of War as they've abandoned the platform just like any other company when they release a next-generation console, it's 3rd parties who choose to still make games for the PS2

If they do plan for it to be released internationally, it'll probably take forever just like with the DS web browser v_v

I was hoping that this game would go back to the good 'ol days of the Mario Party N64 games D= maybe since it's on the DS, it'll be easier and more fun to get a group of friends together to play

Yeah, unfortunately despite Jiggly being a moderately unique/favorable character, it's the same thing that makes me think Ness and Marth/Roy are gone, Sakurai seems to be updating the roster with the newer stars of the franchises. Lucas succeeds Ness, Ike succeeds Marth/Roy, and I think there is a chance we may be seeing Rick Wheeler...

IMO, Jiggly is one of the characters with the potential to get axed =o

Jigglypuff isn't a proper representation of the Pokemon franchise anymore =\ I mean back in the days of SSB64 and in Melee she was a popular Pokemon, had a recurring comical-relief role in the Anime, and was one of the Pokemon that always got merchandise like action figures and shirts next to Pikachu, Charizard, Mewtwo, etc. so she was a very iconic representative of Pokemon

But, Jiggly just isn't that character any more unfortunately, she's just not relevant to the series like she was back then, so to me she's one of the characters to get the cut in the face of newer stars D=
