I suspect 1 more Newcomer and 4 more Veterans will be updated on the Dojo by the time the game releases. 2-3 Newcomers will be "unknown" (not updated), atleast officially if CoroCoro indeed has the full roster, until the game comes out
The reason I suspect we've been having some dry updates lately, is because they originally were updating the Dojo at a pace to have pretty much everything major announced by December 3rd... Now that they've pushed the release date back to February 10th, they've got an entire 2 months of updates to make up for, that they previously had nothing scheduled for. So basically, they've had to pull together a lot of extra updates to compensate for the extra time to the release, and I guess that means some lackluster filler updates for us between the major stuff (which they've now had to space out more) On another note, Sakurai said in an interview awhile ago that he expected the full roster to be updated on the Dojo by the time the game was released...so in his own words he expected to have updated at a pace to reveal the whole roster by December, which leads me to believe we really don't have many characters to go My "realistic" prediction (unrealistically, I'd hope for so much more) for what I think the Brawl Roster will contain: -30 slot roster -16 veteran characters (+1 that does not take up a character slot) -14 newcomer characters (+1 that does not take up a character slot) -32 characters total, counting transformation characters Newcomers: -Pit -Wario -Ike -Pokemon Trainer -Diddy Kong -Snake -Metaknight -Lucas -King DeDeDe -Sonic -Animal Crosser -Geno -Megaman -Krystal Veterans: -Mario -Link -Kirby -Pikachu -Fox -Samus -Zelda -Bowser -Donkey Kong -Yoshi -Peach -Ice Climbers -Ganondorf -Captain Falcon -Luigi -Mr. Game and Watch Playable characters that don't take up a slot on the roster: -Zero Suit Samus -Sheik
Incorrect, Blu-Ray players have been less than $500 since March '07 The six-axis controller has "tilt" sensoring, meaning it knows when it's being tilted around The Wii controller has full spectrum 360 motion sensing, accelerometer for force sensing, and IR sensors for pointing actions I'm sorry, what? -2 weeks ago the Wii was named the most sucessful selling console in Australian history. -In Japan the PS3 has only topped the Wii for two weeks, the PS3 sales in Japan for this week were a 18,000 unit drop compared to last weeks numbers (a result of the release of the 40GB model boosting sales), only beating the Wii by 3,000 units this week I do admit that the Wii has slipped quite a bit in the sales in japan since it's weeks of selling 100,000 all the time, but I don't see why a sales boost for the PS3 as a result of them releasing a cheaper SKu constitutes saying the PS3 is "leading" against the Wii in Japan, when the PS3 has only had the benefit for 2 weeks -UK numbers make up, on average, 30%-50% of Europe's total sales. Regardless, removing UK's sales figures from the European sales total and you have: Wii: 83,000 PS3: 63,000 So, without the Wii's success in the UK...the Wii still tops the PS3 in Europe by 20,000 units? The regions where the PS3 seem to top the Wii are Spain and Italy, and a collection of smaller countries whose figures are grouped as "other europe"
We've known about that cover since early September, and Nintendo confirmed it as the official Boxart in early October, though it's nice to see it in high-quality Also, congratulations on the very ugly KH-vids watermark
That's because they're NOT the same 'breed'? They're an entire seperate 'clan' of the Moogle species, get over it? You act as if it's a sin for an animal to ever be different from the very first animal of that type you saw. Actually it's more like you're walking through a park and you see a Labrador Retriever and think "Oh, that's a nice dog", and then as you finish the walk you see a Pug and you say "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? THIS IS NO DOG, IT IS NOTHING LIKE THAT DOG I SAW BEFORE, GET THIS DISGUSTING SIN AGAINST HUMANITY AWAY FROM ME, HOW DARE THIS THING BE ALLOWED TO EXIST!??!" You upturn your nose and scoff because every "dog" doesn't look like your first impression of what a "dog" should look like? It's ridiculous to say that every "dog" besides that Labrador Retriever is not a "dog" in your eyes and that they all clearly "stink" because you have unnatural standards Maybe because they are another 'breed' of Moogle? I guess we should look down on people's skin color, because I mean they're not the perfect Arian Blond-Hair-Blue-Eyes example of a human being?
lol confusing Gray Fox with Wolf O'Donnell
Kingdom Hearts 3 isn't confirmed to be on the PS3
ukali_rules made that post before Nomura disconfirmed the possibility of it being Namine
Nothing can match the power of the Turbo-GRAFX16
Actually the comment was not a matter of the opinion (though the other one was), the 40GB models have been plagued with a fatal error bug, essentially the PS3's version of the 360's Red Ring of Death, so figuratively the $399 model is "explosive" lol
I think you suck horribly Also, still pictures can not convey the awesomeness of the Great Aether attack in motion >.>
The Wii version features Online Multiplayer with leaderboards and rankings, and has "Battle Replay" mode which allows you to capture your favorite fights on video and save them to the internal memory Since the PS2 has no Online play, the PS2 version has "Disc Fusion System", where by inserting a Budokai Tenkaichi or Budokai Tenkaichi 2 disc during play, you unlock "Ultimate Battle" or "Ultimate Battle Z" modes featured in the old Tenkaichi games Both versions have the same number of characters and stages and overall content, the only notable differences are the ones listed above, in addition to the Wii Version having unique controls
heh, now that's an exaggeration xD It's not like the Ps3 ruins it, I just don't rly notice that much of a vast difference, and wouldn't exactly call it "making the graphics better" =P
Well, the main point of my post would be that you seem to be unaware that the 360 has roughly 50% backwards compatibility with the original Xbox, evident by you saying "The 360 can only play 360 games", which is entirely false. Hence: *Choo-choo* Secondly, XP wasn't compatible with anything when it first launched, just like Vista, and everyone hated it. What happened? Service Packs fixed the problems and it worked out fine. Vista will be better when the Service Packs release and everyone will get over it Vista has larger requirements to run? Sure, but guess what that does? It makes -that- hardware the industry standard. If every computer comes with Vista, then every computer from this point forward has to have the hardware specs to meet Vista's requirements, thus raising the bar for standard computer hardware, and thus making that hardware cheaper to purchase. Vista is, in a sense, advancing the general consumer computer hardware market
Soush, 40GB PS3's have no PS2 backwards compatibility, which is probably what he was talking about. And yeah, if you have the original 20GB/60GB launch PS3s with the Emotion Chip, then you're lucky as hell and I doubt you'd encounter any problems, as you said they have like 98% sucess. But, they phased them out in July and now everything is Software BC, which increases your chances of running into a problem
*Choo-choo* Oh look! The Not-know-what-you're-talking-about Express just rolled into the Station, all aboard! You have your train ticket, right?
Shouldn't you be *facepalm*-ing at Sony as well? Xbox 360 is compatible with about 400 of the 900 Xbox games, because unfortunately the 360 uses Software Emulation for Backwards Compatibility Sony sacrificed Hardware Backwards Compatibility after the initial 20GB/60GB launch stock in order to lower the cost of the PS3, so the PS3 uses the same Software Backwards Computability the 360 does for any PS3 model past that point "1,700 of the 2,500 PS2 games will work on the PlayStation 3" is Sony's statement on the PS3's BC, so 30% of PS2 games won't work on the PS3. now, 1,700 is by no means a small number, as I said that's 70%, but to *facepalm* at the 360's expense for the Software BC, when Sony is doing the same thing? Not to mention the release of the 40GB Model which completely removes PS2 BC?
What the PS3 does to PS2 games is upscales the resolution of the game, which basically stretches out the image to fit on larger TVs. It doesn't "make the graphics better", it makes them "bigger" so that they're compatible with newer TVs So basically, it may look better on the PS3 if you're playing it on a huge TV, but then again playing anything on a huge TV gives the impression of 'omg gud grafix lawl' If you're playing it on a regular TV, there most likely wouldn't be a difference at all in quality An average PS2 game's native resolution is 480p, so if you take something that's naturally that resolution and stretch it out to be 1080p, that isn't exactly making the graphics better, it's making them bigger, which may distort quality depending on how you're looking at it This is a 480 pixel image: http://img158.imageshack.us/img158/7804/480wi4.png This is the same image, upscaled to 1080 pixels: http://img162.imageshack.us/img162/7965/1080mm6.png I'm not saying this is a flawless scientific example, but it's a basic idea of what's going on -------------- Also, the PS3's Backwards Compatibility is Software emulation, meaning that not every PS1/PS2 game will work on it, though roughly 70% will (not sure on the exact figures) And the 40GB PS3 has no PS2 backwards compatibility, so if you get the 40GB PS3 you will not be able to play PS2 games on it. So yes, whoever said that were right (in a sense), depending on which Model you get your PS3 will either have no PS2 Backwards Compatibility, or it will have it (but some games may not work)
