Luce snatched a small amount of demon blood from the cooler and hurried out of the room. Her fingers shook as she dumped it into a glass. Luce fell heavily into a chair near Scott and drained the glass; licking at the glass where she could with her tongue to get the remains. Her hands finally stopped shaking as she set the glass down....though blood was smeared on her chin. Luce set about licking at her chin as she watched Lenny.
Izzie glanced up at Finely and stood. She padded quietly away from Finely and Randall and into the kitchen. The aroma of food hit her nose and she sniffed at the cubbords and counters. How odd...Danny didn't tell me humans stored their food in their homes...I thought they just went out and got it...like we do. Following her nose, she wandered around the house, occasionally scratching her paw at things or sniffing and licking them. A human's home was strange to her. A vampire's home was always cold, empty and had the same smell of rotting meat and old blood.[/COLOR
Alice's hazel eyes darted around his face and blinked rapidly. "Lladranna is...my home...it's gone Auran...why would you want to know about it?" Istar gave Auron a 'I told you so' look and patted the pocket he'd tucked the shard into.
Istar quickly pocketed the shard as Alice sat up, rubbing her head, "Hmm? Oh...so you weren't a dream...that's good. I didn't want to wake up and be alone again. Let me guess...Nova's gone again..."
A thin barrier glowed breifly in the spot where Faya flicked his nose. He glowered at her and Martel scurried to stand in front of her new friend. "Martel....you have brought a street rat with no manners into my home. What say you about this?" Martel swallowed hard, "Never you mind about Faya's upbringing...what matters now is the name of the man who is the guardian of those in-between. You know his name, don't you?" Neo exhaled loudly and shifted in his chair as if he were suddenly uncomfortable on the velvet. "I know not his name...only that he lives in Lumini....Mithos was quite the prophet you know. He told me the guardian would leave the light for the darkness."
Istar glowered at him, "How the hell should I know?! I wanted the place destroyed. Alice and Nova are the ones who know how to restore it." Alice's eyes fluttered and opened slowly. "Mmmm....Van...I'm sorry.."
Izzie huffed, barely in recognition. She didn't much care for humans...or others like her. Her gray coat was easily soft since Danny insisted on brushing her fur and hair in both forms. Her under belly and legs were white as was the tip of her fuffy tail. Danny hurried down the streets, "Now...where did I leave it..."
Neo laughed and fell backwards into his chair, "Share!? Oh...hahahah, that's rich! Oh Martel where did you find this one? She's not from Lumini if she's suffered Haven's experiments." his gray eyes grew cold, "Surely you didn't bring a street rat into my city." Martel shivered as a thin layer of ice formed on the ground and Neo's chair. Ash stood and brushed himself off, "I'm afraid I will have to decilne Lady Xenree... I do not wish to feel King Neo's blade at my throat...let alone his magic roasting, freezing or pummelling my hide." He smirked as Xenree's smile fell away. "Say what?! You think Neo would ransack your home? He is more of a King than that." Ash laughed, "I know him better than you do. But I'll gladly take the fruit off your hands though."
Istar glowered at him as he pulled out a small shard from Alice's pocket, "Yes....this is magicite...it's from Lladranna. I stole a shard from the Dawn Stone before I was to marry Alice...it turned me into this...gave me my powers...and...raged beyond my control...it destroyed Lladranna and I took the blame for it.
Luce blushed a dark crimson. "Ah...L-Lenny that's insane! I...I've...only had...voluntary sex...once. I...I thought...he liked me..." She shut her mouth and stared longingly at the demon blood. "C-can we talk about this later? Or...not at all?" Luce touched her fingers to her twin pistol's in their holsters. This day is more awkward than the day Lenny found me and brought me to live here.
Kiel smirked and wiped his face, "You think so? I was told by a nun it's an old name of one of the archangels. But I never believed that...why would I be named after an archangel and then abandoned?" he shrugged as if it were nothing. Ren was about to wipe the barbecue sauce from Kaila's cheek when a light hum came from his pocket. Clenching his outstretched hand into a fist, Ren closed his eyes as if in pain. "Again they come...." he mumbled to himself. Sliding his food away from him, Ren stood and bowed to Uriel, "Forgive me Lady Uriel...the calling beckons me." He dangled a golden pocket watch in front of their faces. "I shall return as soon as possible." Uriel gave him a worried look, "Be careful..."
Danny smiled, "I'm sure she is...but this fight cannot concern poor Isabelle." He stood finally and dipped his head in a slight bow to Finely. "I thank you for your hospitality ma'am...and I would be more thankful if you were to keep an eye on Izzie for me while I am gone." Danny stroked Izzie's head and lifted her muzzle to his face, "Be good, you hear me?" Izzie jerked her head from his hand and settled back on her paws. I can't believe this...leaving me behind with a human and her stupid pet to untarnish our reputation. Out of the corner of her eye she watched Danny smile with a slight bit of fang just for her and disappeared out the door. Sighing, Izzie stayed laying on the ground.
Xenree twitched. she remained silent for a moment and her voice cracked as she spoke, "N-no...I don't. Your purpose....is for you to figure out and no one else to disturb."
Istar shook his head, "What you call the sandman....Alice will call a magicite creature." Alice and Vanitas glared at eachother for a moment before Vanitas' crazed laughter filled the air, "I wouldn't let you out of our deal if I was dead! Which...I am. So no. You keep me alive Alice....since the moment I was separated from Ventus. You'll never get rid of me!" Alice smiled, "Oh, but I can. My heart isn't a battlefield...but I know of a heart that is. Yours." Istar noticed Alice's fingers twitching and reached into her pocket.
Danny forced himself not to make a face of disgust at the scent of human food, "Ah it was such a long walk back home. We were away on buisness and now I'm afraid reutning home will take longer than I anticipated. I'm about to be accused of a crime I did not commit. Protecting Izzie comes first." His brown eyes shining with hard determination. Izzie half listened to what Danny was saying. She knew her role in this. She'd be forced to stay in the Night World away from Danny until the police were off his trail. Isabelle didn't want to stay in their second home. She wanted to go home and sleep in her bed. Izzie whined and lazily lifted her head. Standing, she set her head on his leg and gave him her best puppy eyes.
Xenree panted, "There is no other way....unless you'd like me to die!" She straightened and turned on her heel, opening a dark corridor, "I have a plan....you don't think I'd willingly be Crowley's little pet without my own retalliation. I am still, after all, Riku's descendent. I will not be used."
Istar growled and turned his head away from them as sand leaked out of his boot. "You'd better not tell Alice about this." He crouched and pulled the dagger out. Alice's eyelids fluttered but remained closed. Alice lifted a dark red charm from her pocket and tossed it into the light of her heart, "Vanitas! You filth, get your treasonous masked face over here!" After a few minutes Vanitas, in his weird black and red tight suit and mask appeared before her, "You called? Lemme guess...you want out of our pact." she nodded.
Danny almost laughed. Stifling the disturbing noise he uncomfortably sat down on a chair in her living room. Izzie sat down at his feet. "Oh I'm always hungry....but I'll be fine this morning." Izzie yawned and set her head down on her feet. Danny's going to want me to stay in this form while we're here... She rather ignored the other scent of her kind as it wasn't important to her at the moment.
Danny smiled, "The pleasure is all mine, ma'am. Oh, Izzie isn't very much of a dog herself. Someday's she seems more human than I do." he chuckled and smiled. Izzie whimpered. She missed the feeling of the warmth of another wolf's fur. Isabelle was more friendly than she led on to believe.
Neo sighed, "Again...I have no idea what Xenree is doing. If indeed she has taken the Moon fruit from the Dark Forest, I trust it to be for good reason."
