Square broke ties with Nintendo in the N64/PS1 generation because Square Enix was tired of being limited to Cartridges when the PS1 offered CDs for their games, which was when there was bad-blood between Nintendo and Square. However, in the PS2/Gamecube generation Square reconciled with Nintendo after the company merger with Enix co, since Nintendo finally adopted a disc-based system, but Square still had strong exclusivity rights with Sony at that point, so Square Enix only ended up developing 2 games for the Gamecube and the majority of their console work went on the PS2. However in 2005, presumably when exclusivity contracts wore out, Square Enix announced that they would no longer be supporting Sony as exclusively as they had in the past, and that they wanted to expand their franchises on Microsoft and Nintendo platforms, which they saw as ample platforms to explore. So since then, Square Enix has practically got a hard-on for putting games on Nintendo platforms, developing over 20 games for the Nintendo DS, and 5 in-development games for the Nintendo Wii. So, Square Enix and Nintendo were at-odds from 1997 to about 2005, but it had nothing to do with Button-Configuration on Nintendo's controllers or handhelds, and has since then been pretty much resolved and from that point on Square Enix has been doing well to spread out their games evenly to all 3 company's platforms.
Ron Paul. Jesus christ, what is wrong with you!?
The only correct answer is Kefka.
You poor poor thing, you haven't played many video games have you?
Depends, I've found that a lot of the times a 3D game on the PSP is very awkward due to the lack of a second analog stick, but depending on how the camera is in Dissidia, it's absense may not affect the game that badly. Sure, why not. Is this really that important? The FF I-VI characters, not that sure about the ones from the BELTAN ZIPPAR era of FF. No. Maybe, the Japanese voices sound decent so far, but putting a voice to characters that didn't used to have one (Pre-FFX), the voices may not do the character justice.
I'll go ahead and quote my post that was made directly above yours that you didn't bother to read: Judge, book, cover. If you've never bothered to go to any of 4chan's decent sections and see the kinds of cool discussions and funny threads to partake in, you shouldn't judge the site at all based on ghost stories of how terrible the place is, if you go to the right sections where for the most part people are mature and cool guys, 4chan is a really fun imageboard (forum) to go to when you're bored and just want to have anonymous discussion. In particular, /video games/, /comics and cartoons/, /anime & manga/, and /japan general/ are sections some people here could relate to.
Uhh, what. Not everyone at 4chan partakes in "we are legion" bullshit and asinine harassment, 4chan is a legitimately fun and interesting imageboard (forum, to use a more common word) to go to and have good discussions and some great laughs, just because a certain section there is the loudest of the bunch in doing immature/******ed acts, doesn't mean they represent everyone else that goes there.
Are you **** ready...for some motherfcking Edgeworth!? awwww yeeaaah you are http://i29.tinypic.com/330zfjt.jpg http://i28.tinypic.com/2ql5tev.jpg Miles Edgeworth: Perfect Prosecutor! announced General discussion of the Ace Attorney / Turnabout Trial series here as well.
Awesome game, in addition to EBA I highly suggest importing Ouendan and Ouendan 2, which is the origins of EBA, the original games from Japan with J-Rock and J-Pop songs. All 3 games are a little on the short side, but it has 3 difficulties for you to try and always improve and beat your old scores, plus multiplayer mode, Ouendan/EBA is always the game you can just whip out at any time when you've got your DS with you, plug in some headphones and just play through a quick song or two for fun.
I wouldn't say that I automatically assume they have no education, that would be too extreme of an assumption to make, however when I see people typing improperly and not spelling words correctly I most certainly think less of them. If they don't see it worth their time to spell properly and I have to decipher everything they say, it's an insult to everyone having to read what they type, and to their own intelligence. I wouldn't say anyone assumes that they have absolutely no education, but you certainly don't come off in a good light if you're not respecting yourself and those around you by atleast making an effort in typing. The only time I really accept people's usage of "text speak" is when actually typing on a Cell Phone, where spelling complete words is not only a tiring process, but depending on your text plan will cost you more money based on how many characters you're using. So, for these reasons I can understand when people text me with shortened and abbreviated words to save time and the trouble of slaving on the phone keys to spell properly, but when it comes to a computer when you have a full keyboard in front of you, continuing to use text speak is just laziness.
Actually read the rest of the thread.
PS3 version definately possible, I don't know about Wii unless it's pretty much a completely different game, just part of the Bioshock franchise.
Why does America need to intervene with China? The soviet communism was something that everyone seems to hate, admittedly, but no one seems to even know why they're supposed to hate communism. China is one of the few countries to adapt a communist system and actually make it work, and the country has prospered because of it. Why does big-bad America suddenly need to mess that up? For what reason? America can't even win a war in the middle east, what makes you think it can tackle China? China's active military force is the size of the entire American population. There is 1 Chinese soldier for every man, woman, and child in America. Not to mention that China has one of the largest stock of economic resources on the planet at it's disposal. America is in debt to the Chinese government for all of the money they loan us, and America gets the majority of it's resources from China, if we were to intervene with China those resources would be cut off and America's economy would pretty much crash in the resulting conflict. So you're right, an Empire would fall; the American Empire.
Than that impression would be incorrect? Regardless of ambiguities when forum posting, there are ways to imply feelings through context clues in wording, punctuation, capitalization, bolded/underlined/italic words, etc..so if a person is not using such measures to imply anger, then are you not simply assuming a post was made with a hostile intent? Someone said it was simply because of experience to assume that someone is angry, then I find that pretty sad that you guys often have people throw fits in their very first posts of a thread. It seems rather unfair to the poster to read their post from the start assuming they're angry about something, don't we all know what happens when you assume? Regarding the last comment, I just found it ironic that someone would say "As a Catholic I find there isn't any excuse for killing!", when the Catholic religion is one of the most blood-soaked faiths, with several Crusades and instances of human slaughter under it's belt in the name of God. I dunno, just found that funny. Maybe I should have used XD or lololol ¯\(o.O)/¯
Dear god, you poor soul.
How is that post overly-defensive? Someone said I should calm down, and I asked why they think I was not calm, because it's not like I was using all caps or exclamation points. Honestly, you guys must encounter people who throw hissy fits in debates all the time if you read every post as angry or defensive...I mean, I read every post as if it were a person speaking calmly, unless there's actual context clues given to implicate sarcasm, yelling, anger, etc.
Uhh, where in that post am I not calm? I don't recall using any context clues to imply anger or hostility, I simply asked a question, if he's going to say that somehow not having multiple children is a problem, then I'd like to know what that is. As explained earlier, the government does not forcibly remove children from homes, as far as I know, the "limit" on Childbirth in China is an advisory from the Government to be aware of the overpopulation issues the country faces, and to think responsibly when considering children. A lot of people wants a lot of things, that doesn't mean they shouldn't be advised against them, it's part of thinking beyond just yourself and what you want, and doing smaller things among a large group of people could have a greater positive outcome for everyone. Russia has something similar in place, to the opposite effect. Russia's population growth on a yearly basis is actually shrinking, there are less Russian citizens alive year by year, so the Russian government has campaigns advising citizens to have families. I've heard that to one extent the government would give money to families of newborns to help raise healthy children.
And what are you basing this on that it causes problems for families and kids? How is it detrimental? Is there some heavy psychological need for Humans to have multiple children? So you are saying that couples who only have one child are probably experiencing psychological detriments? Tell that to your several religious crusades?
What :
The criteria for potentially being a character in a Super Smash Bros game is that you have to have starred in a game on a Nintendo platform. Cloud, Sephiroth, nor Dante have ever starred in games on Nintendo platforms, and thus would not be able to be in Super Smash Bros. If a Square-Enix character were to ever be in a Super Smash Bros game, it would not be Sora or any Kingdom Hearts character. It would be Geno, from Super Mario RPG, Chrono from Chrono Trigger, or any of the main characters from Final Fantasy I - VI, or the Crystal Chronicles series. There is no reason to not get this game, it's easily the best in the series and the best game released for the Wii right now, nothing about the first post of this thread should discourage you from buying one of the best multiplayer games there is. The first post of this thread is nothing more than someones opinion.
