It's call patronization, it's how I roll. Well for one, the question was for fans of the series about whether the current arc in the story was a little boring compared to the start of the series, as in the question was for people who were actually following the story and the series in order to know the context of the question. You, a person who admittedly watched a grand total of 2 episodes of the series, burst in and say "HAH I WAS SO BORED I LAUGHED, LMAO!" The fact that they didn't take kindly to that is an obvious human reaction, because you were judging the entire series without having watched any of it, and you watched one of the most important and meaningful episodes of the show without having any prior context or knowledge of the events leading up to that episode which gave it meaning. The fact that you went judging the show based on complete lack of context was completely unfair, and as Madi pointed out, you were being completely immature about it. What you said about Death Note is like me coming to this forum and saying "WELL HEY, I DIDN'T PLAY ME NON OF THEM KINGDURM HATS, BUT I SURE DID WATCH THE COMMERCIAL AND DAYUM DOES THAT LOOK GAY!!LOL!! WY DOES THAT ANOREXIC KID FITE WIT A KEY? AND WTF IS UP WITH LOONEY TOON CHARACTERS HAVIN WORLDS, LMAO!". Oh hey, I'd be really ignorant if I did that, wouldn't I? "Oh poor me, crazy Death Note fans attacked me, wow I wish punishment could be brought forth upon fans like that, ignore the fact that I'm quoting a "crazy Death Note fan" without giving the post any context at all, and I'm going to leave out my entire involvement in the argumen, because it's not like I instigated it by being completely ignorant of the show and saying it was so boring it makes me laugh, in a thread filled with fans of the series posting" As far as I can see, I'm the only one that bothered to actually track down the thread and read the context in which Madi said what they did, and I saw that both sides of the argument were wrong, instead of just reading the post completely out of context and considering you the victim of the situation, as you seemed to intend. I can respect the fact that you find DN boring and unintresting, but I'm not going to treat you like a victim because you got a proper response when posting in a thread full of fans and making an ignorant statement about one of the most meaningful episodes of the show because you didn't bother to see the events leading up to it to explain why it was meaningful, but regardless of the fact you decided to judge it anyway. That's like me only watching "The Boredom fo Haruhi Suzimiya" and saying "LOL I DUN LIKE BASEBALL SHOWS, TOO BAD NOTHING INTERESTING HAPPENS IN THAT SHOW!!LOL!! LIKE ALIENS"
Well the game comes out the 18th in Europe and Australia, and in the US it comes out the 22nd (which is why Gamefly takes about 2 days to get a big stock of the game), and I got it around the 14th =P I just have a friend who owns a private game retailer, so he's not a huge conglomerate like Gamestop and such, but he still gets shipments of all the latest releases, so since I'm a good friend he usually doesn't mind breaking the street date on games because it's not like I'm gonna snitch on him.
Heh, I'm playing through it now and I've taken some pictures, non-spoiler of course =P SLAAAAM ON SAY IT ISN'T SO, NEKU (as if we needed more character archetypes like this) OH GOD, NOMURA KNOWS WE'RE ON TO HIM
I'd say you're being rather unfair, Tularim, considering you came to a thread where fans of the series were discussing it, and then decided to flaunt around "LOL GUYSZ, I WATCHING THIS SHOW AND, HAHA, IT'S SO BORING IT MADE ME LAUGH!11!", and then compared it to a series you prefer like "LOL WHY CAN'T IT BE FUNNY, LOL, LEIK HARUHI, MAN THAT SHOW WAS AWESOME! ECKS-DEE xD" Yeah, you're the real victim there all right.
The 80GB is the only model out right now besides the aforementioned PS2-less 40GB, so if now is the time you feel like getting a PS3, then yeah the 80GB would be the way to go (if you've got $500). If you can wait a bit, June 12th sees the release of the MGS4 Bundle PS3, which is basically the exact same thing as the 80GB, only it comes packaged with MGS4, and is in a limited edition color.
Heavenly Sword would be a Rent. I'm not gonna say it's a bad game, but it's not a game to drop $50 on, the game is...very very very short, and there's nothing to do once you beat it.
The game comes out the 18th in Europe and Australia, and comes out April 22nd in the US. Though, I got an early copy of the game and am playing it right now xD
The World Ends With You is an action RPG for the Nintendo DS. It was developed by the Kingdom Hearts team, Square Enix, along with Tetsuya Nomura and Gen Kobayashi. The game's artstyle and theme was inspired by the youth, trends, and fashion of Japanese culture, and the Shibuya district of Tokyo. Neku Sakuraba, a 15 year-old boy with a hobby for music and graffiti, wakes up in what seems to be the Shibuya shopping district of Tokyo, Japan. With no idea why he's there, he opens his hand to realize he is holding a strange black pin. After flipping it with his hand, the thoughts of the people surrounding him began to flow into his head at once. Surprised, Neku discovers he is able to read the minds of others, and assumes it has something to do with the black pin he is holding. Neku is in Shibuya to play the "Reapers' Game", a dangerous game held by Death Reapers in an alternate-reality of Tokyo which spans a total of 7 days. All Players of the Reapers' Game have a black pin with a skull embedded on it giving them Psychic abilities and the ability to play The Game. The Reapers' Game has certain rules which prevent him from leaving the Shibuya district, and if Neku or any of The Players don't complete the game, they will be stricken from existence by the Death Reapers (called "being erased"). Along with Shiki Misaki, a girl who is another Player in the game, Shiki and Neku forge a pact to work together with her for the week. In order to survive, Neku and Shiki have to defeat the "Noise", physical manifestations of people's negative thoughts and feelings. Neku's psychic talents are essential not only to gather clues and hints from the people, but to also detect the Noise that sweep through the roads of Shibuya. During their week in Shibuya, Neku and Shiki run into other Players who have become involved in the Reapers' Game, and unravel the secrets of The Game and the mysterious Reapers orchestrating it. Most of the gameplay focuses on finding clues and battling Noise in an adventure mystery-solving fashion, every Day of the 7-Day trial, all Players are given a universal "Mission" to complete, so gameplay follows Neku's solving of each day's mission and the trials faced. Players can use Neku's mindreading abilities to hear people's thoughts by using the touch screen of the Nintendo DS and find hints for his adventure, several other functionalities make use of Neku's mindreading capabilities and are introduced throughout the game. The game's combat system, called the "Stride Cross Battle System", uses both screens of the Nintendo DS. Neku's ability as a Player in "The Game" allows him to use powerful abilities called "Psych" based on "Player Pins" that he has acquired, said Pins being endowed with specific spells and abilities that can be equipped to Neku for use in Battle (You start out with only 3 slots available for Pins, but this grows as you progress). Psych in battle are activated by use of specific actions on the DS touch screen, Slashing may activate the Shockwave Pin, a quick Upward Slide with the stylus activates Ice Pillar, dragging the stylus across the touchscreen as if you were striking a match results in flames bursting forth wherever you touch the screen, and many more abilities like these. In addition to this, special abilities and bonuses are awarded to players based on how "In Style" their equipped clothing is. Being in the Goth district of Shibuya won't get you any points for wearing the Hip-Hip clothes of 104th Street, so head to a Shop and buy a Skull T-Shirt and a Leather Belt, and suddenly Neku has a +50% attack bonus! Keep "in style" based on your current location, and many sorts of bonuses will be alloted to you for wearing the right clothes for the right neighborhoods. This unique Equipment system keeps players on their toes, you never want to be out of style and lose stat bonuses, so read up on magazine on the latest trends and go shopping for bonuses. That's why you don't buy games, you Rent them. The majority of games ever worth actually purchasing are Multiplayer games (Online or Offline) which allow for much longevity so long as you have friends, or so long as the online community stays active/bearable/fun. Which may be why FPSs, MMOs, or Online games in general are liked a lot. Solo games are great games, no doubt, with tons of unique and fascinating experiences, but you feel really disappointed when you beat them once and find that you're really never going to play that game again... Whereas you may get through Halo's single player in a jip, but fear not dear sir, there are 3 million people online daily playing Halo's online, and you can join right in! New maps and content is being added every few months, tons of skills ranks and fancy medals and stat tracking is abound to satisfy your ADD and love for shiny things and bigs numbers! So the game doesn't die even for months/years so long as you like what the game is and have friends to play with, the experience is changing and improving (most of the time). You can even get tired of the game and quit for a few months, go back and find that, hey, the online community is still there. He's saying that the reviews of the games he bought were really positive which made him excited and hyped to play the games, but when he actually played them he found them disappointing. If he were reading negative reviews of the game and held a bias against them as bad games, he wouldn't spend money on them, he'd just blatantly troll saying they're bad games without playing them.
The reason the 40GB model is able to be cheaper is because they removed PS2 game compatibility, the expense of the PS3's hardware wouldn't allow for it to have a legitimate price cut to that price-range, so to make it possible to compete during the holidays, Sony removed hardware to make the 40GB model's price possible Once the general price of the PS3's parts go down, the 40GB will be completely phased out like past models of the PS3, once that happens a new model will be introduced because Sony won't have to sacrifice BC to be in the $400 price range anymore, but for now the cheap model of the PS3 has to be the one that skimps out on BC so that a "cheap" model of the PS3 can even exist =\
So you're saying that Kingdom Hearts III will not come to the US? And you're saying there's no way a multi-billion-dollar game development company is working on the main entry to one of their leading franchises? These are "illogical and impossible" things?
Your bff knows nothing about video games.
Ness and Lucas should not have been seperate characters. If the best qualities of both characters were combined into 1 character, that character would have actually been a decent and proficient one to play, but having them remain 2 characters just limits the strengths and makes the weaknesses more apparent, that when put together would have atleast made a wholely decent character.
In order of proficiency my preferred characters are R.O.B, Olimar, Game and Watch, and Wario. I like to play the Oddball characters.
Read my edited post, your first post is worded confusingly and could be interpreted as 2 completely different questions, you should edit and make the question more clear.
Allah and the Christians God are the same entity, both religions are simply branches of Judiasm, and all share the same God, he is simply called a different name for each. Or am I misunderstanding the question? Your wording is a little confusing, it seems to me that the implication here is that you're asking Muslims and Christians seperately; what if your God is wrong and the opposite's religion was the correct one?
The person who wrote the speech being "plagiarized" is the one that mentioned to Barack that the line should be used in his upcoming speech, as in the writer of both speeches gave Barack permission to use the line. The distinction here that I'm noticing is that in the first line he's stating that his Church (he was talking about his Church as a whole) was not "particularly controversial", as in it wasn't infamous or even well-known for being controversial, but "particularly" is not the complete absence of something. So in contrast, the second statement was talking about him hearing things of controversy from his Pastor, so he's not saying that his Pastor never said anything controversial, but the Pastor never said anything to the point where his Church ever became known as a place of controversy. I edited my post after you started writing this one, sorry. You should go back as I re-wrote and re-worded some lines, and I addressed the point differently after I looked for what you were talking about. I don't particularly like McCain, as I feel he is pretty much an exact carbon-copy of Bush, and he would basically just be running the Administration the exact same way as the Bush Administration, which has basically run our economy straight into the ground. We may be beyond saving at this point even, the US is way far gone at this point that I don't think many people even realize it, so my last hope is that Obama would be able to bring enough change to save things, because if things keep running on this track, we're heading into another Depression.
The candidate I recall being called out several times for speech plagiarism would be Hillary Clinton: http://youtube.com/watch?v=H60y8mHMpmU And addressed in that video would be that the instance of Barack's accused plagiarism, was that the person who gave the speech that had a similar line from one of Obama's seeches, was the very same person who helped him write that very speech. Uhh, from what I recall what Obama stated was that he was not present when his Pastor gave that specific speech which was being broadcast on television, not that he had never attended Church ever, but that he was not at Church on that day in which the Pastor had the infamous racist tirade. If you followed up on that story, Obama was absolved of those accusations, the Canadian parliament came to the conclusion that it was an instance of interference with the Democratic Primary, as no transcripts or logs show that such a conversation ever took place. Not to mention Hillary being in a similar situation, as she signed the NAFTA agreement herself! http://youtube.com/watch?v=2aIh3LlgXGg In addition to the other videos: http://youtube.com/watch?v=A33DEl3y5Tg http://youtube.com/watch?v=8BfNqhV5hg4 http://youtube.com/watch?v=yuZhwV24PmM You mean the guy who's entire campaign was scare tactics and saying "September 11th" every possible moment he can?
And what negative things are those? Did you research whether they were -legitimate- claims against him, or what the entire story behind what they were? Not to mention, was it Fox News?
