Adrian had soon noticed Pierce's change in color. I-I didn't... I didn't m-mean to say that. I'm... I'm sorry. Pierce said shakily, letting her head fall in her hands, That was horrible of me.
Adrian started to pity the girl. She didn't look like the type to just say unkind words all the time, and let out a rare, sad smile.

"It's alright Pierce, I forgive you." Adrian said quietly, "These accidents just show how messed up we are now. The best thing we can do is to be the better person and forgive and forget, as well as learning from our past mistakes." He pushed back Pierce's plate gently, insisting that she finish eating. "You'll need energy for today. The last thing we need, is a girl ready to crash, especially considering how grim the situation was."

Adrian himself seemed to like Pierce a little bit more, considering her apology. And besides, Adrian wasn't like Toni; a person who holds grudges. He calmed himself down and said, "And besides! We might as well talk about something more committed to humanity rather than the Grim Reaper, so, lets talk. What're your favorite colors ladies?" Adrian was now talking to the girls more fully.

    She would float...
Adrian snapped his head back up with a horrid and angry expression. How could Pierce say that? A sudden migraine made him close his eyes crack his neck loudly, and as he reopened his eyes, they looked to be darker in color, a pale orange, like his sister's eye.
"I'm going to disregard that last comment." Adrian's voice was not his own, but it sounded guttural, like nails being dragged across a stone.

Adrian snapped his neck, and his eyes turned back yellow (or was it a trick of the light?) and looked at Pierce.
"I-I-I..." He began to stutter, "H-how..c-could.."
Adrian looked down at his plate again. He felt like crying. Again, how could Pierce say such a thing? It just made his brain reel like crazy.

The room seemed to drop by two degrees as the tension in the room rose. Adrian suddenly had mixed instincts of whether to try and strangle Pierce, or to go completely mute to everyone for the rest of the day. In the end, he chose a different option. He sighed and let out a slight 'hmph' and replied, "Yeah, I guess she would float. But then again, it's a very depressing thought, seeing a dead body floating. Just shows that there's no life in it."

    M-morning, f-fine. H-how did you sl-sleep?
"Well enough, Pierce and I share a room."

Adrian gave a small smirk, glad to be acknowledged, and responded, "I slept on the floor. That much I know. But overall, glad that I ain't dead yet."
But Adrian wasn't really glad. He was still sad over Toni's death. He lowered his eyes to his food, and played with it, going on.

"So Adrian, how is your sister? I haven't seen her around since the ferry."

"I'm still upset about this entire thing. I mean, first, a fire spreads through Fortissimo, then, our ferry sinks to the depths of the ocean, along with my sister." He said it casually, but then paled as he realized what he said, dropping his fork. He then narrowed his eyes, and picked up the fork, and chewed some of his breakfast, and spoke again.

"I can not believe I just blurted that out." He grunts, "My sister was the one thing in the world that made me be who I am, now I got no one else for comfort, other than my violin and guitar, which are both at the bottom of the ocean with my sister's carcass." His voice sounded like he was spitting acid now.

As the two ladies came downstairs, Adrian listened to the both. The Girl of His Dreams, and the Odd One.
"I'm alive, and that's the most I could ask for. I wonder how many people lost their special belongings between the sinking and the fire. And . . . I have some feeling that we might not be leaving this island soon. It was convenient that the couple found us when they did." Sophie seemed pretty chatty.

Yeah. That's what I thought too.Replied Pierce quietly.
"So Pierce . . .what sort of instrument do you play?"
Piano and the flute, but primarily piano.Pierce's expression suddenly clouds up, Oh... I guess I lost my flute yesterday...

"Aha . . . I suppose I lost my instruments too. Terrible business. The cello, violin, and I also sing.I can play a variety of instruments actually, but the cello is my forté."

Adrian decided to enter said, "Good day ladies. Sleep well?" Adrian hoped he hadn't barged in the conversation, but merely entering it.

Adrian woke up groggily. He had his face on the floor and was in a fetal position. He got up and dusted himself off, and let his eyes adjust.
    "Are you alright son?"
Adrian looked at what seemed to be an old man in his mid-40's, in a brown trench coat. He wore circular-rimmed glasses, and raisin-shaped eyes, and a kind smile. Adrian let out a scoff, saying,"Piss off, old man."
    "Or what?"
"Or I'll make sure that the Inn manager takes your room keys and gives you the boot."
The old man readjusted his glasses. "That would be incredibly inadvisable, as well as improbable, young man. You don't want to end up like Tonitrui, do you?"

Adrian immediately tensed, ready for a fight. "I don't know who you are, you old coot," He said slowly,"But I never like the fact that I'm being threatened. If you want to settle this like real men, put 'em up and I'll show you how much I ended up like Toni, because I never signed up to become collateral damage!"
The old man laughed. "There is no need for that, young one." The old man replied, "Because right now, faces are about to change. Live to fight another day." The old man pointed a finger to one of the doors of the lobby, "Downstairs there is breakfast waiting for you and your friends. Have some of that, and explore the Inn. So many sights to see, so many secrets to reveal!"

Adrian blinked, and the old man was gone. As though he never existed. What the hell was that all about? He didn't know. Adrian dismissed the moment as nothing more than a mirage. He rubbed his eyes and went to the Lobby desk. "Is there anyway I can get a room?"
"Yes. Here you go. Enjoy your stay."
Adrian grabbed the key and shoved it in his pocket, and he went downstairs, and waited for the others.

Etrius opened his eyes. He had blacked out, but only for a minute. He stood, and watched Cinderella carefully, his eyes sad. He walked up to Cinderella and said, "I'm sorry. I never knew that this would happen to you. We wanted your dream to come true, Cinderella." He put a hand on her gigantic leg, "The best thing you can do is to stay strong. Your mother and stepsister's jealousy will eat away at you if you can't."

Adrian did not like this. Not one entire bit. He had agreed to go along with this, but after clearing his head, this seemed as much as a trap. All boats had an alarm system Then, his mind started to reel. Where was Toni?
He gasped loudly. Tonitrui Gloval was dead.

Adrian dropped to his knees. He put his hands on the floor, as though he hadn't felt something like that in ages. His throat was dry. He was thirsty, but nauseated at the fact that his sister was.....
Adrian threw up away from the group. Too many...too many....this was not meant to be....
"My sister is dead.." Adrian said slowly, bluntly. A tinny ringing of the ears made him put his head on the floor. He let out a screech.
"AND I COULDN'T ****ING SAVE HER!" His voice turned temporarily guttural. He looked up at the others and his eye twiched.

"And I couldn't save her...." He repeated this over and over, like a scared child, who lost his mother when he needed it the most. He suddenly stands up, an angry look on his face.
"My life is hell." He said slowly, "ONCE! I lost a friend to terminal cancer. TWO!! My last girlfriend stabbed me in the back, putting me into a five-day coma. THREE!!!" He was on the verge of angry tears. "Tonitrui....my sister...my only sister, dies before my eyes...."
He drops to the floor, crying his heart out. He had finally broke. He closed his eyes, wanting all this to stop.

Adrian looked at Pierce quietly. She looked much more afraid then he did. It was time to be the bigger man.
"Pierce," Adrian began. "I know for sure that we can't stay here, but we don't really have a choice. The fog is too thick to cover the distance, and moreover, it's too dark. We should follow the counselors and see what happens."

He held out one of his hands. "And if anything happens, I'll be right here. Promise?" Adrian knew that there was really nothing that anyone could do about the train situation. But he was sure, very sure, that he would shield Pierce from harm. Sure, she could've stuck with Aislin or Julius for that matter, but what Adrian was asking was Pierce's trust.

If Pierce declined that promise, he would understand and walk away. If she accepted...lets just say tha Adriian would protect Pierce like his life depended on it.

Adrian could not believe it. Were they actually going out there? There seemed to be no other option. He sighed, and got off his butt. He looked at Pierce and asked, "Are you coming?" giving her a small smile of reassurance. Strangely, Pierce was the only thing in this entire hell that calmed him. Adrian didn't looked stressed, but his insides were curling in anxiety.

He steps off and looks around. It was a dark, foggy street, where a lone, abandoned train station sat on the side, utterely lonely. A cold wind blew across his neck, but Adrian didn't look cold. He looked down one of the streets. The fog obscured his vision before he could count the vision distance as one mile.

He looked back to the station. There was some chance that they might find some supplies, maybe even a flashlight or a phone. But there was also a slight chance that danger was nearby. Adrian shrugged. They will have to take the chance.

Adrian was surprised to get an answer. He had half expected her to jump out the train. He snapped out of the thought, and responded, "Red, black and purple. I like black and red the most because black represents wisdom while red means bravery."
Adrian went a small shade of pink when Pierce studied him. Her face then went red as she buried her head, and asked looking at him, Are... Are you okay?

Adrian opened his mouth and was about to lie, but his inner instincts told him to come clean if he really wanted to be with this girl.
"No, I'm not." Adrian said, his yellow eyes truthful, "First we get caught up in the flames, sending a majority of us to the hospital, then our ferry crashes for an unknown reason. As for Toni.." His voice cuts off and he puts his thumb and index fingers on his eyelids, and shakes his head. He reopens them, and this time, there's a bitter hardness.

"Toni had taken care of me since I was born. We have lousy parents so we lived completely independent. Sure, she was annoying sometimes, but in the end, she mattered. And as I jumped out of the ferry, I saw her slip and break her neck. It was painful." Adrian laid his head against the seat with his eyes closed again. He somehow felt better, as if a bottle of poison left his immune system all in one go.
