"Of course, he'd have to be batty to miss your birthday." Casey jibed, determined to get a rise out of his daughter. After now warmed up on Mickey it was onto frustrating his eldest daughter.

"I don't mind, it's nice being around such a close family." She explained quietly, her voice soft and gentle as always.

Lake giggled slightly. "It's okay, it's your birthday. You're allowed to sleep in a bit." She smiled sweetly.

"Flying by for a bite is he?" Casey grinned as he casualy slung himself between the arms of his chair, brushing his silver and gold hair out of his face.

Lake appeared at the top of the stairs just as Mickey shut his bedroom door, she waved shyly to the congregation on the landing. "H-Hello Mr Malfoy, Cory." She stammered out.

"You don't have to call me that kiddo." Casey chuckled. "Just call me Casey, everyone else does. I'll leave you guys alone now." He added as he carefully stepped past Lake, patting her gently on the head. He then leapt downstairs, sliding down the banister rail.

Lake let a tiny, but none the less sweet sounding, giggle as she watched him slide down.

Immy grinned an uncharacteristically smug grin.

Casey tried his best to contain the gleeful laugh that he so wanted to release. The humiliation that could be coming if Mickey didn't hurry up was almost tangible. "You better hurry Michael." He cooed mockingly to his son.

Lake nodded slightly and smiled. She then headed towards the stairs, taking small but quick steps as she ascended them. Due to her small size it was almost impossible to take more then one step at a time like so many others could, for example Casey could easily take three with how long his legs were.

"No matter what way you look at it Maddie he'll have the maturity of a one hundred year old or whatever. So he'll be an old man in mind, just not in hormones or body." She said, folding her letter up and placing it down on the table.

"Oh I think you should, the look on both their faces would be priceless." Casey chuckled darkly, not at all phased by Mickey's growl. Having grown up with a werewolf father and a werewolf brother it didn't worry him at all, not different to having an old pet growl at you when you accidentally kick it in his mind.

Lake opened her mouth to speak, but thought better of it. She didn't want to some how offend anyone within minutes to entering their home, so making a comment on a vampire when it was know that she was a werewolf would most likely not go down well at all.

Then, a voice that was perhaps more unexpected then Lake's came from the kitchen table.
"It's not much of an age gap you know Maddie... There's bigger ones. And that's if you're going on face value age anyway. Really it's Antony that's the dirty old man." She added, a faint smirk on her lips. A smirk which was seldom seen on the shy blonde.

"Oh it's very funny young wolf. Very funny." Casey snorted, trying his hardest not to laugh at the tizzy the boy had worked himself into. As a father Casey had always tried his best to keep out of his son's relationships except when needed, he knew from experience it was cripplingly embarrassing when a parental figure got involved. But it was obvious that Mickey was falling for the little she-wolf. The blushing, the rushing, the defensiveness whenever she was mentioned.
Then once Cory came in the with offending pants, well an evil little light bulb flickered on in Casey's mind.
"Oh, I think I know a better way to get revenge on him for that then strangling him." He chuckled darkly. "I think that knock on the door was Lake, I'm sure she'd love to get a glance of Mickey's unmentionables."

"Thank you Maddy." Lake smiled quietly, stepping gracefully through into the kitchen. Her shoes making a faint tapping noise on the floor tiles. "Happy birthday." She said after a moment, fearing an awkward silence if she was quiet for too long.

"Well you better get up or I'm sending your mother in here. Or worse, I could send that friend of your's in. Lake? I'd love to see the shade of magenta that girl would go seeing you in your boxers." Casey smirked, the corner of his lip twitching upwards in a devious manner. And the tone of his voice made it perfectly clear that he wasn't joking about either threat.

There was a nervous tap at the kitchen door, a shy one that almost sounded like the person knocking didn't want the door to be answered.
The knocker was a tiny little corkscrew-curled blonde clad in white lace and cotton. Lake's blue eyes darted from side to side nervously, what was she going to say to whoever answered the door? How was she going to say it? Was it too early to arrive? Was it too late and maybe they'd gone out for the day? What if her owl hadn't delivered the letter and they didn't know she was coming? Every bad possibility was running through her mind at a million miles an hour.

Once the alarm had finished it's resonating rings Casey ducked his head around his son's door.
"You actually getting up at a semi-reasonable time today you lazy sod?" He asked with a smirk on his ageing, but still attractive, face. He enjoyed being able to tease his children, they couldn't fight back. You can take the Malfoy out of Slytherin but you can't take the Slytherin out of a Malfoy.

Immy was sat quietly at the table, reading a slightly crumpled piece of parchment that a large snowy owl had just delivered to her. A smile was twitching at the corner of her lips and a faint tinge of pink to her usually pale cheeks. She was in a world of her own, a world where the proximity of her mother and sister didn't worry her into quickly hiding the letter.
