according to the post above yours you need to complete the game on any difficulty, though I can't verify that. Interestingly though I have the Exp Zero ability in Proud and that is one of the main difficulty drivers in critical.
"This is more like it. A god worthy of an attack." Mixt said, boosting the gods ego with a compliment mixed with a threat in the same breath. Mixt then reached to the philosopher's again but instead of pulling out the entire stone he used alchemy to slide off the tiniest of fragments, in certain light you might not be able to see it at all. But as Mixt dropped into the fountain along with the artifacts the effect was unmistakable. The surrounding water quickly became red (though still clear) and seemed to glow slightly. This effect overtook the flow of the stream and 'flowed' away from the shrine, though the current still went in towards the fountain. "Red Water. It is the most impure form of a Philosopher's Stone other than a singular soul. One who knew what it was could use it to assist them in alchemy mildly. But to those without caution, it is a deadly poison. To drink it means certain death, and just being near it means sickness by the vapors. History is littered with villages destroyed by the slow death of the unexplainable illness caused by the red water and an alchemists folly. But I'll be the first to use it intentionally as a weapon. Now lets begone before we suffer as well." Mixt said. He could transmute gas-masks to protect the lot of them, but this way the god Rhizm could perhaps be provoked into a more immediate showing. After all a duel would be in Rhizm's favor as a long battle would have the Red Water destroying the mortals.

The "penalty" is only that you would have fewer drop points at the drop and thus wouldn't get the rewards from it. But at the point I'm at there isn't a whole lot of value there. Maybe later when you can afford Attack/Magic level two or three it could be bigger, or if there is more rewards unlocked with time (I've only seen the affinity bonus crop up so far) And I suppose one way of bragging about how fast you complete the game is the number of drops, but there doesn't seem to be anything in game to reward you for progressing with fewer drops.
Yes, but he had no power of attorney to approve or deny any of it. The kid, having received the medical services, would be billed; but since he is a minor it would be brought to the legal guardians (most likely the parents). I could see some form of lawsuit arising from said guardians with "I didn't ask you to save him, I can't afford this" nonsense talk. But that would be doomed from the start because of good samaritan laws. But I don't know why the bill would be given to the lifeguard directly. Unless there is another wrinkle in the story that wasn't in this article or I overlooked I can't make this make sense.
Not by itself but you should be able to hide the layer on your own. Just click the eye icon in the layer dialouge next to the original layer. Or you could copy it, select everything, delete, and then paste.
Might work well with the first pic but the second has a drop shadow. You could magic wand the shadow too but that's always led to issues with me.
I've been told that using a path tool is the "right way" to do it, but I've always just used the eraser. The only real tripping point in GIMP at least is making sure the layer has an alpha channel. If you want to look up any tutorials what you're looking to do is called rendering.
*facedesk* Seriously, how did I not see that intent? *feels very noobish*

True. You could format the entire spoiler still (other than color which would be overwritten) but if you wanted to format a part for emphasis then it would block it. So that might not be the best idea.
Actually it seems syntax on vBulletin is a bit different, but it's very similar to what I put at any rate. Also seems we can disable BBCode parsing within the tags so that would work around people breaking it.
Pretty simple, if my sources are right and I'm understanding them correctly. {TEXT} becomes <span style="background-color:{COLOR};color:{COLOR}">{TEXT}</span>
Just one thing if we do use this. I think it would be good to include a mirror of the code with an option included to allow color selection. Also it would be nice to have a the highlight code mirrored the same way (albeit that code is so seldom used it isn't that relevant)
[highlight]This would work as a makeshift equivalent if you like[/highlight] [noparse][highlight]spoilered text[/highlight][/noparse] EDIT: Nevermind, 5.0 styles only. Other styles highlight differently.
