To the surprise of many, Nintendo closed out yesterday's Nintendo Direct with an announcement for a new Super Smash Bros. game—scheduled to release this year. There's no gameplay footage, release date, or full title announced yet, but the roster is confirmed to include Mario, Link (featuring his Breath of the Wild appearance), several more characters in silhouette (easily recognizable are Bowser and Donkey Kong), and newcomers the Inklings from Splatoon.

Nintendo has announced a Nintendo Direct presentation to be broadcast tomorrow, March 8. This Direct will show off upcoming titles for both the Switch and the 3DS, including Mario Tennis Aces for the Switch. The Direct will begin at 2pm PT and will run for about half an hour. I still enjoy cracking out my Gameboy Color for some Pokemon Puzzle Challenge or The Little Mermaid Pinball on occasion. I'd probably play Pokemon Crystal from time to time too if not for the dead internal battery.
Riku's new Keyblade has a Mickey-shaped Keychain. Fenrir does not. Which is more likely: Riku's new signature Keyblade is a new branching evolution of an old Keyblade, when branching Keyblade evolution hasn't even appeared in the one mobile gacha game that has Keyblade evolution at all, or Riku's new signature Keyblade is just a new Keyblade? I mean, I know convolution is nothing new to Kingdom Hearts, but still. Occam's razor, dude. Sometimes the easiest answer is the best one.
