Near stepped through the halls of the large school, looking for the the student L had told him to find; one of many who'd either gotten lost in what might have been to them an overwhelmingly confusing set up, or simply skipped school altogether. He didn't quite understand why L couldn't have gotten someone else to do it, as Near had been quite busy himself, with his tarot card towers and such.

Finally spotting the student L had sent him off to find, Near spoke; just wanting to get this over with above anything else.
    "You're Winter... right?"

"No, no, that's not what I meant... I guess it's just me, then." Diary responded, sparing another glance in her teacher's direction. She was probably just tired, and that was making her see things that weren't there. Probably.

Also, yeah. Maybe we should remind him we're here. Lol.

Anyway... While we're waiting, should I have Near talk to Winter? <_>

    POST PEOPLE.

Also we need someone to play Light, because I know I would suck at it xD

IC:// Diary nodded at the taller girl, and stepped over to where she was. After taking a seat next to her roommate, and in a low whisper to her stated,

"Isn't there just something a little... off about him?"

It might have been a shallow thing to say, but there was really something weird about this teacher that the girl couldn't quite put her finger on. However, when she noticed the teacher cast a stray glance in warning to her, she straightened her posture and started looking idly through a book that she'd brought with her to class.

"Whoa." Elevir whispered, like a small child, at the sight in front of her.
"How did you do that?" the girl asked Larenzo. He didn't even seem to do anything, the guard just screamed and dropped dead.

"Alright then," Diary spoke, pacing quickly to catch up with her roommate. The room was just down the hall, it'd not even take a half of a minute to get there.

When they entered the room, it seemed much different from the room she'd been in minutes before. It was much like a smaller version of a lecture hall, and less like an exaggerated high school classroom. Behind the front desk stood a young Japanese man, however much his auburn-ish brown hair contrasted that fact.

She spotted a space in one of the middle rows open enough for both her and Blue to sit, and motioned to it to the taller girl.
"You want to sit over there?" she asked, so that only her roommate could hear.

"I have Japanese, too.... Actually, we should probably go. Class starts in two minutes," she responded, wondering if her fellow student knew where it was. The other students didn't have the same puzzles on their schedules that she did, or so it seemed.

As her roommate dug through her bag to find the answer to Diary's question, the shorter girl stopped and looked over her shoulder at the girl who had spoken seemingly out of nowhere. She didn't reply, however, and decided to leave the girl to her thoughts.
"Well..." Diary responded to Blue's statement, wincing as the taller girl jumped noticeably from being jerked out of her haze. "I doubt a lot of the students here were able to learn it before they moved... After all, we weren't given very much notice that we were going to Japan."

"Oh!" Diary was jolted out of her thoughts by the sound of her name being called, and turned to face her roommate, Blue.

"Thanks, Blue.... You shouldn't have," Diary spoke, with a soft smile toward the other girl; though she did have wonderful timing. Looking down at the complicated blue-print-esque image, she noticed that she was correct about the location of room 157. It was indeed in the next hall over, leaving not as much time as Diary would have liked for her and Scath to get acquainted... not that she was fond of social hour or anything. Just that the boy seemed to want to get to know her, and made it seem that at this school, she might not just be 'the freak in the hallway'.

"Hey, where's your next class, Blue?" she asked the taller girl, looking up from the paper in her hand.

OOC:// I have the funniest image of Mello being forced into teaching Disguise . Anyway, maybe Linda could teach it or something; if not Art.

"Oh..." Diary replied, now wishing she hadn't left her map in her dorm. "I think that's in the next hallway over..."

A dull pain in Diary's skull reminded her of how much she needed rest, making her start seriously considering skipping her next class. However, the puzzles embedded in her schedule must have been there for a reason, as she wasn't exactly the best student at her previous schools... okay, that was an understatement (far beneath her potential, her average when she'd moved from her old school was a mere 2.5). However, based on the letter she'd read in her last class, the said puzzles had to have been some form of a test, to ensure the adequacy of her skills. She couldn't afford to be skipping classes if it would mean a lower "score" on that test. Even if it meant taking a little... nap during class. Oh well; it's not like the first day's ever that important anyway.

"Um, sorry... That's not on my schedule. For today, at least..." she replied, staring at said slip of paper.

Her schedule seemed almost as awkward as the class she'd just exited; some days she had only a few classes in the afternoon (this was one of those days), some days classes started early in the morning, and some days she seemed not to have any free time at all, her classes taking almost every minute of the day. There was a new puzzle every day as well, leaving her only to hope she had the skills to solve all of them.

Her next class was simply stated, Japanese. She felt lucky; she'd never gotten the chance to learn it before moving... however, the listing lacked a room number. After looking over the schedule once again and finding no clues, her mind skipped back to the second room number she'd figured out from the first puzzle. 134. Well... That was right down the hall. She had some time.

"... Do you know the room number?" she asked the other student.
