ooc: Since SORA hasn't been here and Midnight says I'm good, can I have a recap?
Mikatsu smiled and sat at a booth near the back. "Yeah...you can't notice it unless someone told you or you're a rather powerful mage. I'm a Composite Mage. Our magic is feared as untamed and wild. There's...a part of it that I can't completely control. Other than that...it's all about status. People think I'm from Kallahi because of my eyes. Which is why they hate me at first glance." She leaned forward and blew out the candle on the table. "See?" touching her finger to it, the flame re-lit and the rest of the candles on the other tables burned brighter and hotter. Everyone leaned away from their candles and cast a wary glance around.
See you soon! I'm going to get super bored.

Uriel smiled, "That's rather nice of you. I thank you for your help. Take care of him, Kaila. I know he cares for you a lot. I've never seen him so frustrated over a girl before. You must've gotten through to him over the years." She laughed and returned to her food, sipping at her wine. Uriel's brown eyes focused on the sloshing red liquid in her glass and socwled, 'Ice soldiers? Those belong to Enan....why would an ice soldier of his attack Ren? Something's not right about this.' Kiel stared for a long time at Tori without saying a word. His face slowly turned red the longer he stared at her. "Ah, um...I'm...sorry, Tori. I was just worried. A guy has to try at least to help those in danger. Y'know?" Sanya tip-toed up to his bed and patted his bare shoulder. "You without a shirt on is nice, Kiel." Kiel's eyes widened at the young Professor and her tiny pale hand patting his skin. "Uh...wh-what? Miss Logos, I didn't see you. Ah...I'm...I'm sorry, I'd put my shirt on if I could reach it."
ooc: Then that's my cue to move along. bic: Erios Mikatsu smiled, her red eyes glowing with gratitude. "Um, okay. Thank you." She didn't take his hand, and barely brushed him as she slid past him inside. "You must be new in town. Most people wouldn't ask me to have dinner with them." Kallahi King Elstelz felt a brief moment of foreboding and a shiver of dread. "Ciel...perhaps it's best you leave under the cover of night. While there is still daylight, you should head out. I know the Ilipson Mountains have several threats in the day, and far many more at night, but you'll make good time if you go now." Ciel nodded, "Perhaps you're right. Everyone does seem to be rather anxious. And our journey is long. I'll see you in a few days. If we ever return." He didn't mean it quite so darkly as he left and whistled outside for the little twin witches and Lief to hurry up. Lief pulled himself out of bed and dressed in his normal red armor. Strapping his sword to his hip, "Time to move. It's about time. Wounded or not, I'm going and I'm going to prove Amittai is innocent in Erios and Kallahi's foolish feud."
Ryku grinned as water dripped off his chin and hair. "I do. Now, let's go reclaim a friend." Ryku took the second flight of stairs slower this time and kept his gun by his side. He counted silently to himself. Three...two...one. "Go! Hands in the air!" he shouted as he rounded the corner and pin-pointed Hikaru standing over Lynne near the fountain. Before he could get any more words out, Kaoru's fist struck the side of his face and his knee jabbed into his stomach. Ryku fell with a splash and a grunt. Kaoru flicked his gun to the stairs, "If you know what's best for you and your friends, you'd best stay down there." He cast Ryku a sorry glance and slowly retreated backwards. Lynne gasped, she knew that voice. Ryku had come to save her? Not exactly who she'd expected, but it would do. By the sound of things, what she could hear over the sirens, he hadn't seen Kaoru. "Ryku, you okay? Ryku!?" Hikaru set a hand on her head, "He's fine. Kaoru and I are old friends with Ryku. Hurting him is bad for our reputation with EBO. Hurting Runners is bad for buisness too..."
Erios Mikatsu's smile faded, "I'm so sorry...I fear, I have no money to pay for myself. For I, even though I'm no ashamed of it, am an orphan without a job currently. But, Viceroy Shera said General Kakanas might be putting out a bill for finding the High Priest." She grinned and seet her hands on the window, practically drooling at the sight of a layered chocolate and vanilla cake. Kallahi Crimson gawked at him, "Are you for real? Doctor Crescent is...well true, she's not that much older than you...but still...AH, she's the Doctor! Dude, she did surgery on you! Cut you open and inserted magic energy into your body!" Crimson chased after him like a restless puppy. "Hey, if you really want...no, I'm not even going there." Crimson hung his head in defeat, "Change your mind? You mean you want to stay here with Cooke and Doctor Silent?"
Ryku took two steps at a time and carefully rounded the top of the stairs. "So far so good..." Ryku wandered to the wall, a smile on his lips as he tapped the tip of his knife against the glass covering of the fire alarm. "We're close enough. Time to cause a distraction so we can go in and get Lynne." Stabbing his knife into the glass, he yanked it downwards, pulling the lever with it. Sprinklers sputtered on and loud sirens shrieked throughout the building. "A job well done if you ask me." Lynne flinched as water hit her face. "Wh-what? What's going on? Is...is someone in the store with us? Hikaru? Kaoru?" Both boys lifted their guns and aimed at the stairs. "Kaoru, watch the back. The other set of stairs are still open." Hikaru nervously shifted his footing and Kaoru disappeared behind a set of shelves.
Lightning sidestepped the Behemoth several times to keep the girl protected. "Hmph, where's the precious Sanctum now? Here to protect your civilians, huh?" Out of the door behind her, several Cieth lumbered out. Lightning gritted her teeth and kept the girl close to her. "Don't worry...I've got this under control..." Backing away, Lightning kept her eyes moving from Cieth to Behemoth to Cieth. They can't be all Cieth...there has to be some left. Lightning sheathed her gunblade. There was no use fighting with a sword when getting up close was dangerous. Thundaga crackled in her fingers. Setting it free on a group of Cieth, Light dashed through them, jumping over one and landing on the back of another. She sprinted inside Sanctum's headquarters with Cieth on her heels. "Back off!" Tossing a set of Fira's back towards them. Akira jumped up, her blue eyes glittering, "As much as going after Light sounds appealing, even if it may be a suicide mission...we should do as she instructed. Regroup somewhere. Though....where is the question."
Kallahi Cooke smiled proudly and placed an unlit cigarette in her mouth. "Leaving so soon? Awww, okay, be careful puppies." Cooke was a robust woman and as she wrapped her arms around Advent and squished him to her in a hug, she whispered in his ear, "You be careful of monsters on your way. Lot of creatures in the world that adapted to magic energy." Releasing him, she hugged Crimson as Max waved goodbye with a blank stare. Crimson rolled his eyes and pushed Advent out of the labs. "I'm ready, I'm ready. Let's go already. I want to get moving before she changes her mind and straps you down to a table." The barely stifled snicker after his words would've gotten him slapped for his perverted thinking. "Man...I knew you loved being her favorite. But...she's a bit old for you, isn't she?" Erios Mikatsu giggled and finally met his eyes. Red met green and she allowed a small smile to cross her lips. "That's fine. I can take you somewhere nice. Erios' capital may be large, but it seems small to someone who's lived here for a long time. I know the best place." Scurrying away, Mikatsu glanced behind her and waved for him to follow. She slid into the crowd and reappeared on the other side of the street, waving to him. Behind her a resturant stood tall, displaying fine cakes and muffins in the window. She pointed to a large sign showing the specials for dinner. A variety of food that would even have vegans craving meat.
Once inside the store, Ryku pulled out the mini-tv he kept in his pocket and zoomed in on the image frozen on it, examining the blurry number behind Kaoru's head. "Wonderful....just bloody wonderful... Third floor...we've got a ways to go. You, Runner girl, slow me down and I swear I'll knock you out and carry you. Your buddy here won't do a damn thing cause I'll blow his brains all over these walls. Keep close, keep quiet, keep moving." Ryku's boots made a lot of scuffling noises as he ran towards the stairs. Figuring as much, elevators didn't so much as blink a light anywhere. Smart...cover all your bases. No elevator power means no unexpected visitors. Which means...we'll be taking the stairs. Two flights...shouldn't be hard...if I didn't have this girl to worry about. Kaleb and I could handle this no problem.
Luce buried her face in Lenny's shirt. She was thankful no one called her Lucille or Lucy anymore. "I'm such an idiot.... I let my father's resentment fuel my actions. I'm...going to end up just like Azazel....aren't I? I'm already half way there.. Turning into a complete monster is my next step. I might as well dye my hair black and change my name to some f*cked up bibical crap that means Hell on Earth." Letting go of Lenny she stood and wobbled. Her boots didn't have heels but the ground felt like it was wavering underneath her. "We should get something to eat...I'm sure Scott and the others are hungry too. I...I've cause us enough trouble." She retraced her actions toward Alexis and scowled, "I owe her an apology...don't I...again...just like I owe Scott several apologies. The day he comes to collect on those, I'm outta town." Luce attempted a half-hearted smile. Lifting one corner of her mouth.
