"Mum!" Immy exclaimed when she finally brought herself to look closer at the figure of Lake on the sofa. "She's bleeding!"
OOC- I don't really know.
"Do you want me to list off all the things you've done that 'aren't nice'?" Casey snorted.
"Why's she nearly naked though?" Immy asked, her eyes widening in shock and her cheeks reddening in embarrassment for both Lake and for herself; seeing your brother's friend naked wasn't something one usually saw at 9pm on a Sunday evening.
"I mean I like my steak rare, but he's just ridiculous." Casey laughed, once again turning a page in his book.
"She's really accident prone, huh?" Immy asked.
"Mickey's about the only person I know who's actually into a resturant and ordered a steak raw." Casey chuckled, still nose deep in his dusty volume.
"Sorry..." Casey apologised, bowing his head slightly.
Lake tried her hardest to stay looking down towards the ground, her entire body trembling from the fear, the cold and the wet. "What's happened?" Immy asked, looking over at her half brother and her mother.
"Chill out Ly." Casey chuckled. "I'm sure everything is fine. You know how Maddie is, she likes drama. Mountains out of molehills and all that." He said turning the page of his book.
Casey sighed and nodded. "Okay."
She curled up slightly in his arms, the blood was now starting to seep through the thin fabric of the pashmina scarf she had tied around her. Her face was flushed in embarrassment and streaked with tears from the pain.
Lake wandered into the living room and sat down on the sofa instead of to the kitchen as she wasn't very hungry; Lake was never much of a breakfast person anyway. And in all honesty the remarks had left her relatively unwilling to face everyone else.
"I'll find a part time job too if that's what you want." Casey said.
Lake carefully tried to stand up, but her legs gave way beneath her as they had done the night before. She landed awkwardly on her side and howled in pain, tears started to trickle down her face from the agony.
Casey chuckled and went back to what it was he was reading before. They were so easy to wind up sometimes, actually, all the time. Lake took a breath as though she was going to say something, but she chickened out of it at the last moment. "Ne-Nevermind!" She stammered out before disappearing downstairs as quickly as she could.
"Oh it's very funny." Casey snorted. Lake giggled weakly. "Mickey...?" She asked quietly.
Lake nodded slightly as she weakly took the scarf and wrapped it tightly around the cut. Her face was vividly scarlet.
Casey sighed and looked up from his feet. "Look, I know we shouldn't of hidden it. And looking back on it it was a massive mistake, but we just didn't know how to tell you guys or how you'd react as it was so soon after the whole Zane... incident." He started to explain. "But I want you to know: I love her. More then anything and I'd never hurt her. I couldn't. And yeah, she's pregnant now. But I'm not going to run off, I'm going to stay and I'm going to support them as best I can. So please, forgive us for not saying sooner. I promise from now on there won't be secrets."
Lake blushed violently pink and hid her face in her hands. Casey grinned evilly, sure the idea disturbed him. But in all honesty now that Maddie was married he didn't really mind any more. After all they were the same age.
