So have I. At least I can look towards DC Universe Online for a good DC game. But this...
Xane was preparing to attack the electric chain-mail fence man himself, until Darxess attacked. He'd never seen Darxess this angry before. He then ran towards the tree Orb landed in and grabbed it. "Looks like Darxess is coverin' this one. Don't know if that big ol' fireball is neccesary." Xane asked.
Xane leaped back as the lighting reached out towards them. "Really? Always good to have an old member return." Another lighting stream hits. "We gonna sit here and talk, or take action?"
"Nice trick," Xane said, walking towards the disarmed Brotherhood member. "And who's Oxyrt? An old friend?"
Xane followed the three of them out of the cave...
Xane shifted in his seat. There was no such thing as unlimited power, was there? Everyone had their limits. Even them. They just hadn't been pushed hard enough yet. Xane was slightly baffled. What was Enigma saying? That they had to fuse with their true selves and their heartless to tap into this 'unlimited' power? Enigma knew how to give them something to think about"So, what you're saying is that we can-," Xane started. "What the hell was that?" Xane asked.
"Anyway," Xane began. "Where did Wing go? If we were to be attacked randomly by a Brotherhood member, we'd need all the fire power we can get."
OOC: Damn. Might not be here for a week after today. Hopefully I'll be able to log on. But for now... BIC: Sitting near Enigma and Xegreny, Xane finished his food and asked,"Eat you? You serious? Looks like the Brotherhood's got all the psychos on their side." After hearing Nulix and Xegreny's questions, Xane spoke again, "In fact, can you just give us a run down on all of the known members of the Brotherhood? Just so we know what they can do."
"Yeah, when was the last time we ate?" Xane asked, patting his stomach. "I say we stop for now and go back to the ship. We can check the cave again tomorrow. Unless you want to stay here and find whatever hell your lookin' for, Enigma. Your call" *** On a world far away from the Pride Lands, the Brotherhood Member known as Novice glanced at his watch. "Heh. Half past eight," He chuckled to himself, before looking at the figure approaching him. "So tell me...Why do you want meet Scourge...?"
OOC: Welcome back, Oxyrt. You may not know me, as I'd joined the original thread after you left. Hope ya post often. BIC: Xane raised an eyebrow as his surroundings returned to normal. He was also suspicious of Enigma's intentions, but let it go for now as he'd just saved them from a fight they would probably lose. "So what now?" Xane asked Enigma. " Keep searching?"
OOC: Leaving soon. Be back at around 9 EST. BIC: Huh," Xane said, using a nearby stalagmite to scrape some droppings off of his foot. "They couldn't have been hiding something that valuable, 'cause that antlion wasn't too tough of a guardian."
"That's why I hate these negative worlds, or whatever they're called," Xane said. "This is supposed to be the Pride Lands, right? For all we know, that antlion could've been Rafiki."
"Now the antlion's dead," Xane repeated. "And we still need an answer..."
OOC: You mean Xane's punch, right? BIC: "Cool," Xane said. "The antlion's dead, we lost the bug-men for a while, and I still don't know what the hell we're doin' in this jungle. Care to fill me in, Enigma?"
As the giant antlion charged forward, Xane dodged it's mandibles and leaped towards the a nearby tree. Climbing to the top branch, he dived towards the antlion's back and slammed his fist into it's thorax.
OOC: Ah. I've been there. BIC: "Hopefully those sleeping habits don't kick in when the bug-men attack him," Xane joked, as he prepared to fight whatever was coming after them. ]
OOC: ...Why? BIC: "You'd think Orb would know how to keep Darxess in check by now," Xane said as they walked.
"Then let's take the detour," Xane said. "And you said that their might be other things here that eat these guys? Huh..."
"I'm sure we can take all of the bug-men, but we don't have time to get lost in one of their tunnels," Xane started. "So, let's take the detour."
As they journeyed further into the forest, they saw a gigantic hive at the base of the tree. No bug-men emerged from it, though Xane could clearly hear them buzzing around inside. The structure looked too dense for Xegreny's blasts to destroy, without causing harm to the jungle/forest. "The doors open," Xane started. "How about we see what's inside, huh?"
