Yves pushed himself up, "If you want to see it, all you have to do is ask, Kaila. Despite my earlier outburst...I rather enjoy you. Solitary angels are much more sociable and likable than ones under a Court..." He pocketed the sun crystal and leaned against the door, rolling his shoulder. "One sun crystal isn't going to be enough... Uriel must keep the crystals in the basement." Kyrios forced a smile and ended up with a grimace, "Evening... Now if you'll show me the pictures, Genesis." Handing over his camera, Genesis waited nervously beside Schuyler. "And you're sure these are the students?" He nodded, "Yes sir! Well...it's only two of them...there are two more, or so I've heard. They weren't in class. I've heard one is already graduated and the other...skips regularly... I couldn't find him at his home either." Kyrios' python hissed and curled around his arm, "Ussssslessss angel..." Genesis flinched. Penny fell backwards with the creature pushing the stick into his chest. The scrambling red dot stopped moving and focused in the center of the whiteness, enlarging to a baseball size and looking at Penny. Struggling, Penny took shallow breaths, attempting to push the creature off his chest.
just by blood. The can be related by marriage.
Sei shook his head quickly, "No. It's...actually, I don't know. Mom has kept why she initiates the Impacts to herself. Not even Father knew. Mom..makes them happen...cause she's lonely. That's what father said." He stared at each person and met their eyes before shuffling down into his clothes, "I don't know...I'm just a kid."
That's right. It's genetic to be angels.
Sei rubbed his head, "The First Impact is when the dark world of Zu Vendis enters the universe in the atmosphere of one single world. It marks the existence of the Higher Being. Who that is, I don't know. I only know what my father taught me. The Second Impact is when Zu Vendis is visible in all the worlds no matter where you are. You see...it exists beside each world, feeding off of the dark emotions in people's hearts. Like the Heartless and Nobodies. The Third Impact....Zu Vendis' initiation into a new universe is complete and it will begin to devour the universe slowly. It's what it does... It's the home of my mother and I." Riku stood shocked by Sei's explanation. "This is insane... A world of darkness...devouring our universe? Is there nothing we can do to stop it?" Sei's silver eyes pierced through Riku, "You'd have to kill the being that created Zu Vendis. Demise. The one my mother worships like a God."
Yves nodded slowly, "Mm it is...I suppose Uriel told you about it. It would be typical of her to keep a close eye on the Book. I've heard she consults it twice a week." he chuckled, "I'm sure the Book is irritated with the constant attention." Genesis frowned a moment, "Oh yeah, it was Giselle. Do you think...you know her?" "It's highly doubtful as Schuyler is an angel and Giselle is a human being. Angels do not know humans. Be it before the change or after. Our memories of humans is fleeting and doesn't last very long at all." Kyrios' voice echoed from the darkness before he stepped out of the shadows. His white suit as usual, bearing a black neckscarf tucked into it and the familiar yellow head of the yellow python draped around his shoulders. Genesis stiffened and turned slowly, bowing low, "Ah, Sir! I'm glad to see you. I was about to go looking for you." Penny yanked a heavy stick from the ground and swung it hard. It stopped mid swing against a pair of large purple hands. Penny's green eyes widened as he followed thin purple arms to a white bubble with a single swirling red dot revolving around in the whiteness. "What the hell?! Tristan, RUN!"
Renee patted Sei's head as he gripped Carrie's hand, "She'll be alright. You're...Xenree's son, right?" He nodded, his silver hair falling over his eyes as he stared at the ground, "That's right...I'm her son. My name is Seiren, but I've called myself Sei in the meantime because...she used to call me that...before the world collapsed under our feet." Renee gestured to Sora and Riku, "You two should really listen to this boy. I think he can explain what that black thing was in the sky." Riku loomed over Sei, his silver/gray hair blocking the light, "Well then...tell us what it is. After all...this thing is what you and she called the First Impact. Obviously you both know something about it." Xenree shoved aside Xaldin, who was trying to help her into her chair, "Get out of my way!" She made a sweeping gesture and the shadows in the room ripped away from the corners and walls and formed into a black ball in front of her. "With the First Impact beginning...we must not faulter in our task now. I won't allow for mistakes!" The black ball's underside took the same shape as the spikes descending on Agrabah and the top flattened out. "Progress is good... When the Second Impact ends it will be recognizable again. Once more as the Dark World that it was in the glory of it's reign!"
Yves slumped into a desk and played with the sun crystal Uriel gave him. It's warmth was fading, "What do I do, Kaila.... I'm exhausted and no closer to finding a successor myself. Perhaps I should consult the Book...." Genesis nodded, clicking through the pictures of the school and stopping at the pictures of Allen and Giselle, "Real piece of work the girl is. The Dark Court Seraph told me to go and even opened the barrier around the school for me to leave and come back. The town is alright, kinda normal but those humans...there's something special about them. I could just feel it!" Penny shuffled Tristan along, keeping watchful green eyes on the trees. As soon as the humans left, the Dark Court angels jumped down and pried the arrow from the deer. "Next time you screw up, I'm reporting it to Lord Kyrios. Our job is serious. So treat it that way." The angels shifted into black crows and fluttered away to scan the area.
Xenree shoved the black robed man away from her, standing on her own. "You...I can't...remember." He smiled gently and winked as if he knew an important secret, "Don't worry about it. It'll all come back as soon as the Second Impact begins again. For now..you should go back to your Castle." Xenree nodded slowly and opened a large dark corridor. She gave Sei a soft, motherly look and stepped into the darkness, followed by the others. Riku slashed at Nickolai and jumped back with Akii clinging to his leg now. "I don't have time for this. Sora, let's get out of here! NOW!" Running towards Sora, Akii opened a wavering dark corridor directly to their gummi ship. Sei watched his mother disappear and the black, spiked mass slowly descend before shuffling back over to Carrie. "Forgive me..." He picked her up and dragged her into Akii's dark corridor with Riku and Sora and Renee.
Yves glowered at her, "The Dark Hunters are the most concerning object in this. Without them, there would be no need for the students to have to learn to defend themselves. Unless...you still believe humans to be the largest obstacle for them to jump over. Human emotions will not play a part in this, Kaila." he huffed, even in anger, Yves couldn't be anything but gentle, "Enan... The Winter Court revolves around nothing but who it's next successor will be. Enan has no part in the human's lives! He pretends for the sake of luring in a successor! Enan is no better than the cold angels he commands." Calming himself, his wings folded against his back, "The Winter Court holds no angels in this school as its members. Enan is desperate to prove to our Father that the Winter Court is good for more than just existing as a polar opposite for the Summer Court." Kiel shrugged, "Looks like he was attacked..." Genesis painfully stopped in front of Schuyler, "I'm fine. I gotta...find Miss Uriel. She's gotta see these pictures. You should see the humans we have to protect. So far one guy and a girl...they're alright." Penny gently tugged Tristan behind a tree and scouted the area. "I can't find anything. There's nobody in sight and yet...that arrow...it came down from the treetops. There's no way I'm climbing a tree to find out. I don't need falling from a tree to add to the list of awful things happening." The Dark Court angels winced and cowered against the trees. Their commanding officer shooting needle glares at them. "Subtle..." he whispered.
Xenree fell from the sky, her energy drained for the moment.... A man in black blurred by Sora and his friends, skidding to a halt where Xenree would land and jumped straight up. Catching the black haired woman and landing back on the ground without so much as a grunt. He cast golden eyes towards Sora and smiled. "You can't stop the First Impact. Prevent the Second Impact and you might just save the world....fail...and the world will suffer until the Third Impact and the revival of the Dark World." He lifted Xenree's head and crooned to her, "You shouldn't have exerted yourself so much so soon. I know you miss it...but it'll come in it's own time." Bending his head, he covered Xenree's lips with his own in an all-encompassing kiss. Riku set Akii down and summoned A Way To Dawn, "Stay here, Akii." She pouted, her large blue eyes staring up at him, "But papa..." Sliding her back with a foot, Riku narrowed his light blue eyes on Nickolai, "You're insane if you think this is the time for a fight. Do you even see that thing up there? If we don't hurry...nothing will stop that thing and we'll be crushed!" Renee grabbed Sora's arm, "Run! Run away! NOW! If you are the Keyblade Master, you'll leave this place..." Memories Renee had no recollection of having before came flooding into her mind. About Xenree...about the man beside her...and...about the black, spiked mass that was falling on their heads. Sei felt an old tug towards his mother and the man holding her now. He wanted to cry out like a lost child to them. But...things could not go back to the way he knew them as. His mother said he'd betrayed her. She wouldn't accept him like this.
Yves cast a wondering look at Kaila. "You know...if you don't teach them...the others will. And if I don't force them to defend themselves and learn...Kyrios will do it...in a much harsher way. I'm saving them from torment that Kyrios or Enan could put them through. Magic is my thing...the Summer Court is fighting. If we don't teach them the Dark Hunters will eat them alive!" Kiel followed behind everyone until he spotted Genesis limping down the hallway, "Genesis...?!" Genesis grinned and limped past, gripping his camera tightly in his hands. Penny pressed his back against a tree trunk and quickly glanced up into the treetops, "Yeah...I do. We'll have to be on our guard. Not only do animals live in these woods, I'm sure something far worse does too. Not saying I believe in monsters or anything...but that girl...she could live out here too." Remembering the woman in a dress outside Tristan's house, Penny felt in his pocket and pulled out a hunting knife. Something rustled in the brush behind Tristan... A Dark Court angel lifted an arrow made out of his own magic. Another placed his hand on his arm, "Not around the humans...use a normal arrow." Snorting, he replaced his arrow and pulled back the drawstring tight. Releasing it with a 'twang' the arrow wizzed by and struck into a leaping deer... Dark Court angels shifted uncomfortably; the Summer Court Seraph wouldn't like it that they killed nature in vain. They glanced at eachother nervously and considered jumping down and grabbing the deer, arrow and the humans.
Yves smiled and flung back his hood. Long black hair fell over his shoulders. Today he'd placed beads in his hair. Golden eyes warmly glittered from their place set in tanned skin. "I would've been much more impressed if your true power wasn't locked away and having you so stubbornly keeping it that way." They all watched as Kiel's wings faded away, leaving behind a single black feather. Blinking rapidly, Kiel panted once and rested his hand on Tori's desk. "My apologies for what I said and did earlier today. I wasn't myself. The Seraph gave me a bath...rather unpleasant, but it helped." Cautiously sliding into his seat, Kiel winced as his bare back touched cold metal of the back of the chair. Penny glanced back at him, his expression stern, "I'll get us there if it kills me." Continuing Penny grumbled to himself quietly. Above, several sentry Angels stood watch in the trees. Each wearing black and camo colors to keep hidden. 'They're persistent...but it won't change our orders. Humans stay away from the school...' Angels of the Dark Court shifted in the shadows. It was their job to keep the creatures Kadaj unleashed at bay; whether or not the humans died was not their job.
The fire hit Xenree, scorching Xenree's Organization XIII coat until all that remained was a crude skin layer of complete black armored scales. Another bolt of white light struck Xenree's armor and scattered. Rounding back, the light rammed into her again, dissipating as it struck her armor. Riku gritted his teeth as he waited for the inevitable strike. When it didn't come, he glanced back. Akii, in all her small glory, gripped Nickolai's Keyblade in her small white hands. "That's enough." Renee stared at Xenree's changed body with wide brown eyes, "This can't be...the beginning...of the Impact?!" Sei snarled, "You...what have you done?!" The skin on the sides of his eyes tore, revealing a pure, glowing red substance that wasn't blood. The world fell silent... Above Agrabah, a large black mass descended slowly towards the ground, casting a shadow across the surface. Spikes of pure darkness poked through the clouds. They were solid, like rock, and connected to something far larger. Xenree's body lurched upwards, her eyes snapping wide open, but instead of glittering silver iris, pure, blood red eyes stared up at the descending mass. "....u....dis...." she half gurgled as he body shifted back to the normal skin tone and silver eyes she was born with. Standing atop the Cave of Wonders, a man stood in a puddle of residule darkness. "It appears...our time has come... The First Impact has begun....the end of the world as they know it will end with this beginning. The Dark Kingdom will take root in this universe and spread like a virus." Closing red eyes of his own, the man cracked a small smile, barely enough to lift the corners of his mouth. "I suppose....the worlds should prepare for their end and the rise of a new Ruler and God to pray to."
Jo waited until Arianna had fallen asleep to climb out of bed and pry open her window. Luckily it was always warm here. Grabbing her pistols, Jo huffed a silent goodbye to Arianna and leapt out the window, landing lithely on the ground below. Here we go... She took off in a red blur back towards the cave in the middle of the forest.
Yves and Kiel glowered at each other for a moment before the Seraph lifted all six of his wings, "Well, Nephilim, is that all you know? Perhaps...something stronger will open your mind and teach those around you why we do this." He didn't wait for Kiel to answer as he tossed him a steel sword he'd pulled from his robes. "Defend your classmates...if you can." The room went white for a moment, blinding everyone. When it cleared, Kiel stood in front of Tori, the sword tosses aside and his back singed. Out from his back, two small black wings protruded. He closed his eyes in pain for a moment, "Ow..." Penny laughed as he found a semi-clear path for them to walk along. "Those things have to be connected somehow to the phone calls. Y'know what I think? I think...somebody's been following us. Making bad things happen to us for some reason."
Yves cracked a tight smile, "Genesis Rhapsodos is on a mission by Seraph Kyrios. He will be back by second period." and sent the flickering orb flying towards Kiel. Tired, the boy lifted a hand and caught it like a baseball in his palm. "Not funny, sir." Yves' smile spread, "Very good, Zadkiel. You won't find these answers in a textbook, Schulyer. Each angel must seek them in their bones and hearts. A Luminecent Orb is nothing but solid light. Eager to escape and light the way through the darkness. That is the purpose of it. But...with the slightest tinge of anger, that orb will become something destructive. You must be careful that your emotions do not play a part of opposition in what you want to cast." Kiel crushed the flickering orb in his hand and sat up a bit more. Penny gave a half smile and growled as they made it to the forest, "You don't believe in angels?" He started shifting aside logs for Tristan. Genesis slung his bag over his shoulder as the bell rang for the short homeroom to be over and jumped up, "Well, I'm off. PSEO classes start now so I'll see you," he nodded at Allen, "Later."
Penny laughed and bounded out the door, his green eyes darkening as he squinted against the sun, "There is enough problems I have than my name. And I suppose if anybody wanted, they could call me Pen or anything else they wanted to. I really don't care. A lot of people just call me Grimm anyways." He started off down the road, rolling his shoulders as he walked toward the forest. Glancing back he suppressed a smile, "My parents were high when they named me. My middle name is Cloud." Kiel sighed, "That's...good. I'd hate...for everyone...to become weird on me..." Shoving himself up, he forced himself to stand still, "Can I be excused?" Yves growled, "No, sit down Zadkiel." Obeying, Kiel dropped back into his chair and touched his forehead to his desk. Yves' face didn't hold the friendly smile he normally had. He looked rather pained. "If there are no questions....then can anyone tell me the best way to deflect this?" In his hand, a ball of flickering light jumped around and revolved around his open palm. Genesis lost his smile, "Well, damn, then what is your problem?" A black spike gage in his ear warmed and he jerked his head sideways, "Hey, whatever, it's not my problem." Seraph Kyrios assigned him to simply get pictures, but when one wouldn't show up and the other wasn't even in school...he was having a difficult time finding them.
Xenree twirled her Keyblade in her hands. A bolt of light shot from the ground where the World Heart had come out of and pierced through Xenree's chest. Her eyes went wide and blood spurted from her mouth. "Ah..." Sei grabbed at his clothes, "Carrie..I... I have to protect her, why can't you understand! Huh? MOM!" Larxene's attention jerked from Kirra to Xenree and in that second, Kirra's Fire Raid struck her. Tumbling head over heels in the sand, Larxene growled and jumped to her feet, "We'll take care of you next time!" Akii spread her white fingers to block the attack for Riku, when her attention too moved to Xenree's rapid descent. Though she couldn't see Xenree, she could see the rapidly fading bolt of white light. Riku flung himself barely over the inferno and tossed Souleater downwards towards Nickolai. "Maleficent... You're wrong! What I gave up was a life in the dark! I gave that up for my friends!"
Larxene snarled and rushed Kirra. "You wanna fight me, fine. But to save the world, Sora, you'll have to get past us all..." She gestured to Nox and Sei, "Cause we're the bad guys." Riku and Akii clashed with Nickolai. "I don't know what you're talking about! Who are you?!" Sei trembled, "But...mom...is alone, Carrie... I can't leave her. She may not be the same, but I can make her change her heart!" He stepped in the path of Sora, Keyblade in hand and silver eyes flashing. Xenree chuckled, "You can't stop me. Ever. My desire...will become the desire of the entire universe. The second I come close, I will not hesitate to grasp what I want." Pure black, bat wings spread from her back and Xenree took to the sky. "Come then, Hero of Light and friends. Try to stop my rule!"
